  1. The OP has said he turns lane assist off and has confirmed this already. Of course it is possible it's reactivating if travel assist has been activated.
  2. One other thing to check might be the adjustable steering column. Try releasing it, moving it and then relocking it. Also check the fluid level. Else lets hope the dealer can fix it. Insist on going for a drive with the master tech and have him drive on a stretch of road where you feel the problem.
  3. So is the issue speed related? You mention in your opening post that it happens at speed or on fast roads. These are exactly the sort of roads that suffer from tramlines. The other thing to check is that your tyre pressures are correct but I assume you'll have done this already. Skoda recommended pressures are quite high.
  4. Are you sure you are not simply "fighting" the lane assist function? It does not like it if you change lanes without indication. It's not a turn off once thing you need to turn it off every time. The other suggestion that I have is tramlines on the motorway, there are bad in some places and can cause the effect you mention. If it's not this then try : Find an Engineer The category you require "Mechanical Failure" Since you made the report before your warrantee lapsed you should be fine unless the independent engineer does not find anything.
  5. My information matches what @Kenny R said.
  6. Yep, tried that but can't seem to get the data I want exactly where I want it. How odd that VAG group have different "settings" for what is basically the same infotainment system!
  7. I can get that view, I'd like to put the driving data where the P is
  8. As far as I know the ignition has to be on to start downloading the update. Once it's downloaded and ready then the car needs to be left parked while it installs. go to the home screen and make sure that the little world symbol is not grey and make sure you are not set on max privacy.
  9. I like the driving info overview that you can have in the middle for it's completeness. It would be nice to put oil temp inside one of the dials. Most of the reason I asked is because our other car is a Mk 8 Golf R and you can configure the info in the l/h dial to show coolant, oil and gearbox temps. So it's a case of trying to make the display look the same when changing from one to the other. Not a big thing by any means, just a bit odd that you can get the oil temp to the right hand of the display in some views and not in others.
  10. This does, indeed, provide all the information I'd like on the dash. If anybody know how to do it while maintaining the classic "2 dials" look I'd be grateful.
  11. I don't think so. It seems most older apps are being replaced by the "My Skoda" app. Just after you get the car you will probably get a "free trial" of an app called Traffication. It is harmless but inconsistent.
  12. Have you tried asking the dealer to make you the primary user via the Skoda app? This can sometimes be tricky if you are not the first owner due to the previous owner not fully de-registering themselves.
  13. I'll use the Skoda nomenclature to describe the question. Is there any way to set the oil temperature so that it appears in area A of the virtual cockpit? don't care if it appears on the left or the right. Alternatively is there a way to make the driving data appear in area A so that I can choose to see the oil temp in the centre of the dash? Area A is the area inside the tachometer or inside the speedometer.
  14. Quck post to say how good the quality of the front rubbers mats for the Kamiq are.
  15. Yes an MVNO (the V stands for virtual). This means they don't own the mobile network they sell space on. If they sell too much space then their users get throttled first. They may also have agreed to speed caps on data. They don't tell customers any of this and it's poor IMHO that a big company like VAG does not deal direct with an MNO in each territory.
  16. It is true that Audi adopted "you buy a SIM and we'll let you connect the car" fairly early and then to e-SIM pretty quickly but their charges to access data are pretty steep. Mind, one of the "benefits" when I got the Audi was that for the first 4 years of ownership they could not figure out how to charge for the traffic data so it was "free". Amazing to think that 15 or so years ago the only traffic data you had came via TMC and was pretty flakey!
  17. I promise I'll stop now. I realize not everybody cares. MTZ-2023-01_Article.pdf
  18. This might not work. part of my in-depth search for a solution to this problem on my Audi made it clear that the car can only get Audi Connect data via the SIM in the infotainment. I guess this is why most people use Apple Car Play or Android Auto nowadays. This is one area where all auto makers lag behind IMHO!
  19. For sure when I wrote to Audi about this and asking them for a proposed solution they were totally uninterested or pretended not to understand the concern or blamed their data partners Cubic Telecom. (Yes, all three!) I tried in the aftermarket and there was no viable low cost solution. What I observed was that data connection became patchy but when it connected (I assume via the 2G network) it was a massively strong signal. ...but the updates to the NAV were v slow. If you were lucky on some journeys you got enough traffic info to make it useful, others you were back to the traffic bulletins. For clarity, in the UK Cubic does not run it's own mobile network in the UK, it buys space on one or more of the 4 actual MNO's network. As you can imagine this immediately puts it at a disadvantage in terms of service provision.
  20. Hope some find this interesting. VAG SSP 511 – The New EA211 Petrol Engine Family - PDF for FREE It's old but interesting to those who like to know a bit about how their engine works.
  21. In my previous car, Audi Q3, I had a SIM in the dashboard. The data connection for that had become erratic to say the least in the last few months. I only paid for the live traffic.
  22. Newbie here but I've been out without my phone and all seems to work fine.
  23. I don't think this is a big problem. How far from your dealer are you? Log it as a fault and ask them to fix it on the next service. My dealer made me the primary user, it took him 30 seconds with both keys and the app while sat in the car. Which infotainment do you have? There are instructions on page 113 of the manual for Swing, Bolero and Amundsen. Basically you should be able to register a new user via the infotainment. It's either MENU then settings (the gear icon) Or MENU /user / new user/ switch users / register. Need to do it promptly after turning on the ignition. Need your phone with the Skoda app. Also need your e-mail open on the phone.

Yes I know that but I was hoping there was an answer to my question. I am going to try putting them into my routes on the SatNav and see how that works out. What I find odd is that the moment I turn off into a motorway Services the SatNav becomes a mine of information about the facilities!

The SE-L I bought came with the 9 inch Sat Nav (Amundsen?). Does anybody know how to make it show the Motorway Services when you are Motorway Driving? I've tried ticking Petrol Station as a POI but that does not do the trick. I tend to use the SatNav in a view in the Home screen, does that make a difference?
