  1. When the bonnet was opened for more than 30 seconds even if no oil was added the Warning Message or Yellow Oil Can light should have then gone off for the next 100 km / 62 miles or so.
  2. 2 days ago GB Energy finally announced the location of the Head Quarters. They are going to get on very well at the pace they do things. Investors obviously are flocking to be involved with this shower of whoevers,.
  3. Micheal Gove / Boris Johnson / Jacob Rees Mogg & other Snouters & Rolls Royce. Small Modular Nuclear. We are waiting. The AI Data centres are coming semingly quicker than the Electricity. Well in the UK.
  4. The Invoice means nothing. Just what they charged you. Just if you dip the oil between that service and now? So you do not know 4 litres was put in.
  5. 'UK energy prices around the highest in the world'. UK Industry energy prices 60% higher than elsewhere in Europe. Or such like. While many can fill their boots or save money on cheap tariff electric others are paying high tariffs and daily charges. That is where average prices mentioned often in the UK is a P1$$ take. The POTUS is brokering oil. Seizing tankers and the oil at sea and selling it on. This is the supposed oil rich North America. Niot really so oil rich, they want Heavy Oil that belongs to others.,..
  6. @lol-lol You should be a Oil, Gas, minerals / commodities trader. Then the world will be your oyster. You know all the numbers & the global trends.
  7. Has it used 4 litres? Did you dip the oil at operating temperature after the Service. It was not you that put in the oil was it at the service?. You got a warning, you have still oil in the sump, it is not empty.
  8. ^^^ Left hand drive car? Just to save anyone needing to look at your location.
  9. @lol-lol You should be in PR for some duff utilities companies. What a load of BS you seem to have sooked up. Next you will tell us about the Water Industries in England doing damn well.
  10. Looks like SERVICE RECEPTION has no idea what the SERVICE Tech cocked up. The VW508 00 / 509 00 is Long Life Oil. (As a TDI requires) 0w20 FS IV for fixed or variable servicing. (As was VW504 00 / 507 00, 5w 30 FS III or 0w 30 FS III) The only software change is setting the Service Indicator to Fixed or Variable. 9,600 miles / 372 days. or 24 Months / 18,000 -20,000 miles. PS. Usual mix up is them leaving Oil Service & Inspection Service at each year....
  11. This is from the ERWIN Thread in 'Handy topics & guides'.
  12. All very basic if a TSI. Common sense stuff. Use a search engine and put Briskoda servicing and look in Images and you will see charts. Basically, Fixed or Variable oil changes. so 9,600 miles / 372 days or 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles. Pollen / Cabin Filter @ 2 years or sooner. Spark Plugs @ 4 years / 40,000 miles. Air Filter @ 60,000 miles / 6 years. CHECK THAT EVERY SERVICE. Brake fluid change is @ 2 years now. It was first at 3 years then each 2. Check tyres regularly. Wiper Blades, Suspension, Brakes etc etc. Cam Belt might now not be til 10 years / 150,000 miles.
  13. @Graham Butcher Westminster is going to have 'Energy Security' for the UK or just England by the importation of Electricity from overseas and it coming in under the sea from Continental Europe as well as further afield. Also importing LNG. They will be prepared to get it from anyplace they can rather from the Nation in the North if they can. For Road / Transport Fuels and Petro Chemicals as long as China Petro are in partnership with Sir Jim Ratcliff / Ineos they will get liquid stock from them regardless of the Refineries in the UK closing. PS. it is not just about powering or heating homes. There is industry and commerce and obviously the 10 x plus or is it 100 times electricity needed for DATA CENTRES for AI.
  14. Bump for @SwallownAmazon
  15. Be sure it s not the only too common Fuel Rail issue. Broken mounting bolts. DVSA / DfT not interested, seemingly leaking petrol not 'Safety Critical.
  16. The Showroom cars if not First Registered now, will be before the end of this month, be them sold or not.
  17. @chills Must be your experience. Oop north, top spec often ordered and doing the 3,000 miles / 3 months without Grubby public hands on them. Bargain for employees and Family members etc. Brand New Spec delivered before Customer Orders. Often in a brighter colour to be noticed out and about. Parked up ready for Managers, Sales Execs, etc etc. Very rare a potential buyer gets a shotty in them....
  18. @Joel_S. what Trim of Karoq was it you were looking at, and were there no others like a demonstrator to look at?
  19. Ed Miliband MP is supposedly going to stop Wind Farm owners gaming the system and getting very well compensated for not generating electricity that the National Grid is incapable or transmitting or it being used. We will see. It is the Non National Owned National Grid that is getting 'Money for old rope' or actually paid UK Tax Payers money to improve an out of date system while they send huge profits to offshore economies.
  20. 60 pence a kWh. 10 kWh @ 60 pence a kWh £6.00. Getting 4 miles a kWh is 40 miles for £6. I am getting 3.1 miles a kWh just now and over the past 2 months. That is 31 miles for £6 if i can get 60 pence kWh rapid charging. I can very seldom get that without it being @ a Tesla Super Charger. I can sometimes not get as much as 20 kW charging for a higher tariff than that, or 7 kW AC charging. My home tariff at 6.9 pence a kWh for 7 hours ends in July and likely i will be having to go to only 6 hours and at 7.5 pence or more a kWh. If the Electricity for Public Charging or even home charging is less next February than this then that will be just fandabbydozzy. But still not cheaper than if i was running an ICE vehicle the same size and power & doing some home charging but more public charging since when away from home i can not Home Charge.
  21. Not everyone lives in Cities, and not everyone pays for Taxis, Private hire cars or UBER, and there is no guarantee that a TAXI without a driver will be any cheaper to use than one with a driver. Those investing in the vehicles are not going to hire them out without them being profitable.
  22. @lol-lol You are not buying them to be the owner are you? Just paying rent on them!. Handing back. As so many are.
  23. I have seen more Alpine A290 EV,s on the road than Renualt 5 ev,s. I see plenty at dealerships. Just not on the road moving or parked up.
  24. I can see Motability getting more customers signing up to get EV,s when 'The Price is Right'. A Kia EV4 for £299, or a Toyota Urban or MINI Countryman EV for £0 Advance payment. Free Home Charger Installation & no VED or Insurance to pay. There will be those i expect that even without a home charger will go for what looks a great offer. Compared to the other Cheap or £0 Advance payment. Leap, Fiat etc etc.
  25. So many flavours of Michelin Cross Climates. CrossClimate, CrossClimate +, 1, 2, 3., 3 Sport, SUV.
