  1. Ps such an amazing payment for a 110k car is that, with a few 100 spend it can be back on the road depends how prefect you want it to be. Doors and wings bolt on I believe.
  2. Make sure you get a facelift door if yours is said model as I believe the wiring loom for door might be different. Certainly on a 55 plate seems differences on rear doors
  3. There are always Fabs breaking. Plenty of silver especially Jacob Bell appears to break for a living on Facebook, based East Midlands way. Therefore get genuine used parts instead of pattern. Doors are about £30 these days. All very cheap as there are soo many breaking
  4. Again not an expert but 1.6 injectors can be troublesome.
  5. Consider yourself lucky with the ABS sensor mine was at least double that as the hub had to be replaced also
  6. Be prepared they have to replace the hub bearing so the price becomes expensive as it’s not just a sensor and labour it’s the hub and labour also. It was on MK2 anyway
  7. On MK2 all those lights were the ABS/speed sensor.
  8. Not bad for 2lt TDI. They and I say the 1.9 was the peach of this era
  9. I am sure this one came up before. Maybe never sold. Proper time warp locked away by a ŠKODA Dealer until ready to sell. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202504010822789?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios-app
  10. Grab some from eBay I did find my hatch replacements a lot stronger. Or maybe I got used to how naff old ones were. Very easy to change. Use a good support piece of wood or broomstick. The weak one might make it drop on your head/fingers.
  11. Problem for me was hit and miss if it came on at all. No good in winter for demisting and summer air con. I have heated screen which helped abit with the misting. Hence why I had to replace. Make sure any eBay seller packs well as the same breakers part arrived smashed twice. The impeller leaves the central shaft very quickly during transit ie smashed plastic. for the low outlay £26 it’s worth getting yourself a decent spare ready. I try and ask them to ensure it spins freely and also look for corrosion down the centre shaft looking down into the motor from impeller end.
  12. I did the same 2 times. My car is very infrequently used now and I think the lack of use caused the motor to keep stopping. Got a used unit with exactly same part numbers or revision F from a VW Touran and it’s been working fine albeit I think the climate has one cold temperature freezing. There is a fault logged I need to review.
  13. Fix might be short lived. I got a used unit and replaced mine as it was intermittently working 2011 model.
  14. Following please keep the thread updated seems some MK2 suffer this eventually
  15. I found an old picture from Rockingham when I had my first Mk1
  16. Yeah I remember them both. You were sat with your picnic chairs out and they were close by. Maybe Gaydon they came along.
  17. Matt, You timed it just right and got a great prize for your efforts. Nice to see you and the car again after quite a few years. Think back to the Brisky meet days of old.
  18. @wd20 it appears you are chasing a problem. Can you confirm if your gear stick centres when moved left or right like about to select gear 1/2 or 5/6. It should return very quickly without any lag. I have experienced slow return to centre and had to remove and clean the selector lever where the cables connect to. Scrub the shaft clean of dried up grease and apply grease and reinstall. Made a significant change to my 5th selection issue
  19. Sorry can’t offer much wisdom. But my superb 2011 when the rear speed sensor was replaced it involved the hub/bearing assembly. Maybe this is what is needed. I believe corrosion maybe the cause of the issues for me. Fairly common from what I heard. I had warnings a few times then it became intermittent for me TPMS and others.
  20. That all over read by about 4mph I find.
  21. OP had mentioned oil consumption issues on other threads @Nab93 you need to get your car professionally checked out at over 200k and taxi the car has a hard life. Or you continue to top up oil excessively, which will no doubt cost a lot
  22. Welcome to the forum @RFSuperb Small group us 3 Superb 2’s this year. I can’t promise to always bring the Superb. Fabia been given a time out
  23. Congrats to @Lofty for winning the big prize on the day. Nice to see everyone
