  1. Have you tried putting the mirror switch to L? I'm wondering if the instructions have been written for a LHD car?
  2. Those are the same ones I have too (the LEDs not the legs).
  3. No, VAG (Skoda) have changed the message lengths used by many of the modules and it's no longer possible to make the HEX-CAN communicate with those just with software updates. You need either a HEX-V2 or a HEX-NET, and can either use an upgrade option or sell your HEX-CAN on an auction website (which I did earlier this year).
  4. I very much doubt it, things that are actively discussed on here are often said by Skoda CS to be "not a common problem"
  5. See how-to-update-columbus-gps
  6. ... and they are soooo much better than the standard Skoda lights.
  7. Nice thought but ... 1) the Audi SD cards are software write locked (so far no method I've found using Google will unlock them) - DIskpart says it has unlocked it but it hasn't 2) the dealers say they don't have access to the files on the Audi/VAG servers - which makes sense because Audi's pricing model is that you buy a new card every 6 months
  8. My understanding of full matrix LED headlights is that they use the sensor(s) to automatically adjust the beam pattern (my turning on/off elements in the LED matrix) taking into account oncoming traffic and traffic ahead - which would mean that HBA has no meaning/relevance with full matrix LED headlights. But HBA works on the Halogen and Bi-Xenon headlights on the Octavia 3, so there's no apparent technical reason why it shouldn't be possible on the Octavia IV. Maybe this is another example of upselling?
  9. See this thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/484705-kphmph/page/4/?tab=comments#comment-5481184
  10. That 'fault' is usually just information that after the software update the final step of confirming that a software update has taken place hasn't been correctly performed, it's not actually a fault.
  11. Did you delete the existing maps, then copy the unzipped files from the new download? The amount of free space on the card seems far too much for there to be even the smallest maps on it???
  12. Sounds like the map file you've downloaded isn't the right one? If there's 14.8GB left on the card that means only 1.2GB is used ? Did you enter the VIN into the Skoda Portal?
  13. Has anyone found the 2021 MIB1 Amundsen map update? I've been looking on the Skoda and VW websites but they're both still showing the 2020/21 update from June 2020. I've found part numbers for the Audi equivalent 2021 update on a new SD card (8V0 060 866 N and 8V0 919 866 N) but so far only a dealer in Denmark lists it and my local Audi dealer says it's not yet in stock in either the UK or Germany.
  14. Are you 100% sure you downloaded the correct/same map? A 2016 Scout will likely have a MIB2, and since you mention SD card you likely have an Amundsen? Are those correct guesses?
  15. Since you're in Greece and I'm in the UK, my answer about shipping fees may not apply to you! Why not go to their website place the LEDs in the shopping basket and go to the checkout to enter your location when you'll see the shipping fees that apply to you (you don't have to buy them yet!)?
  16. I fitted the white Superskoda LED lights in the version with a projector that shows 'Octavia' onto the ground - they are really bright and look great with no errors. Yes, they not the cheapest but the build quality is so much better than the cheap ones I got on Aliexpress - which were so badly built they went in the recycle bin.
  17. Had a reply from Dean Goodwin (Skoda UK Customer Relations Manager) who seems to think that I was complaining about the loss of Digital Service History on the Skoda Connect app: So I have replied making it clear that my complaint is about the lack of Digital Service History on the Skoda Connect Lite app: I get a distinct feeling that we are all being fobbed off...
  18. I too have had a reply from Dean Goodwin - who seems to think that I have emailed regarding the same issue but I have not. My issue is that as I cannot use the Skoda Connect app (my 2015 Octavia does NOT support Connect+) my issue is the lack of access to the Digital Service History on the Skoda Connect Lite app, and I have replied to him making this clear:
  19. That's poor documentation - a Skoda SD card is essential with an Amundsen.
  20. Not sure I 100% believe their reply to that: I can feel I'll be getting in touch with Skoda Support CZ again...
  21. I also have a MIB1 Amundsen and have been told by the experts that you cannot just change the display with a MIB1 Amundsen - they've tried it and you get multiple images not one better image.
  22. If you had/have Navi then it's not a Bolero, looks like a MIB1 Amundsen to me in that case. BTW .heic files need a special app to open them, far better to post .jpg pictures
  23. The CID is not car specific, it's common to all Skoda (maybe even VAG) map SD cards. I've got 3 Skoda SD cards all purchased off eBay and all of them work with my MIB1 Amundsen - even the 5L0 ones. I've recently got an Audi SD card and when it stops raining(!) will try that with my MIB1.
  24. Sadly I don't - only went to Helsinki, Oulu and Tampere on business and once to Kuusamo for some snowmobile fun!
