England EV Charging points, a proposal. & location & news on new charging hubs in England & Wales.
Peak Summer demand for EV charging on the M5 through Somerset & Devon, and on the M3 through Surrey & Hampshire, could both be challenging when EVs are the majority. In a normal year (i.e. not in 2020) the queues on both those motorways can be 30 miles long on peak travelling days.

Will these fit
Legislation requires that when new all speedos over-read by between 0% and 10% - normally on new OE size tyres the over-read is around 5% to allow for tyre wear and different OE tyre sizes without needing speedo recalibration.

Skoda Connect Lite
I wasn't using the browser but the Connect Lite app - so not a browser problem. Seems it was a Skoda problem since when I tried again this morning it let me login - also proving it wasn't a browser problem.

What kind of radio do you have, the 2014 Octavia had several options for the radio?

How To Stop Our car being stollen throught OBD2 port ?
My new Toyota with keyless entry has a simple solution to the 'relay' problem, you can disable the RFID function on the keys simply by pressing the two buttons on the keys in the correct order - no need for a Faraday box/wallet. Don't know if VAG/Skoda have a similar feature?

Visually etc. My car of the day -today
Just remember that the Metro, aka Rover 100, looked huge alongside a REAL (Issignois) Mini In my 'yoof' I owned 2 Minis followed by 3 Metros - for my sins

£1.50 per mile??!!
That will take several years, maybe even decades, to kick in as many people will have pre-existing health issues caused by pollution levels.

Change to MpH
It would help if we knew what model Skoda you have and what year it is - not all of them have the same tweaks.

Skoda Connect Lite
Is that the link you intended, that thread only has one reply which says:
-
MAF
That's still direct injection.
-
MAF
Remember these engines have direct injection so there is much less hydrocarbon crud in the inlet manifold area to dirty up the MAF than on older indirect injection engines.

How To Stop Our car being stollen throught OBD2 port ?
There is no market for a professional thief to sell a stolen Skoda, they focus on "premium" brands and often steal to order. Have you managed to get data from ANY of the tracker type companies on how many cars are NOT recovered? No, because they refuse to publish it since their return rate is not significantly better than cars not fitted with a tracker type device, which IMHO makes them a waste of money. The car immediately before my Octavia was an Audi RS4 Avant which I owned for 10 years from new WITHOUT a Tracker - your Kodiaq (while a very nice car) is not in the "radar" of professional thieves to anything like the same extent as that RS4.

Skoda Connect Lite
It might if it would only let me login, even after changing my password (so I know I'm using the correct password) I'm stuck in a loop where Skoda Connect Lite is asking me to login - not impressed

1.6 TD DSG (spirited) mpg question
Not a 1.6D but we have a 1.4TSI manual estate and over the 3 years we've lived in North Devon our long term average is 47mpg, so 44mpg from your 1.6D does seem low.

WOW! 14 sounds a very large and pretty random number?

Skoda Connect Lite
But my vehicle, a 2015 Octavia 1.4TSI Elegance, is NOT a compatible vehicle so there's no point me buying a subscription as my car wasn't built with the hardware to enable Skoda Connect. So by discontinuing the MySkoda app they are making it impossible for me to access some of the data I currently can.

Skoda Connect Lite
Which if you don't have Skoda Connect because you have an Octavia that was manufactured without the hardware to use Skoda Connect means you lose some of the (very few) useful features of My Skoda - like access to the Digital Service Record

Conspiracy alert! Has Hamilton really tested positive or is he just making a point about not wanting to drive in a country that he has said has a bad civil rights issue?

Suggestions for rough surface and windy roads
Can you get XL rated tyres for your Yeti? Or maybe tyres intended for SUVs in the correct size for your Yeti? They are usually built with a tougher constructions than tyres intended for cars.

All Weather tyres and Summer tyres
Y is the speed rating, i.e. 186mph - simples!
-
All Weather tyres and Summer tyres
That's the F1 Autocentre showing the Load Rating combined with the Speed Rating. Load Ratings The clue is it says 92Y XL - which means the tyre has a Y speed rating (186mph/300km/h) and a 92 XL load rating (630kg, higher than a non-XL version of the same tyre due to stiffer sidewalls).
