Fuel Filler Flap sticking
Hi Quick search of such threads Part number 7P0810773F @varaderoguy, its not that hard if the OP can still open it. Fitting is very easy open fuel flap remove just the one torx screw and you can wriggle the hole unit out from the filler neck, and actuator simply pulls off. you can break off the two little tabs from the actuator if you need to wait for parts but then the fuel flap will not lock.. regards

Battery charging
Battery management will merely see a different state of charge after you charge it, off car. I really wouldn't worry about it, and like I say don't worry about the dash lights they should all go out, and I would recommend that as you have VCDS, that you go in and check for fault codes as it will log some for sure and they can be cleared.

Battery charging
You cannot "reset" the battery management system, that really only gets done with installation of a new battery where coding is required via diagnostic like VCDS or OBDeleven, should be ok to remove it and charge it off the car. What charger do you have to charge it as if an AGM battery you need a specific charger for that type like a Ctek or Ring charger. I will warn you though, you will get numerous errors and dash lights when you first start up which should reset on their own except you will need to (whilst engine on and stationary, turn the steering wheel full left lock and full right lock and the drive in a straight line for a bit to reset the steering to put that light out.

Extend Rear Wash Duration
Had I known I would develop an interest in German cars with a crystal ball and stayed on at school to learn A level German....LOL. There are certainly some delays/intervals I can see in my ADMAP of 09 Module but still a long shot, as may only be when automatic wiping with the front is set from the Infotainment. . Halfrauds strike again - can't even change a battery! I should know better!
find someone on the VCDS map link in my signature near you, Private message them and see if you can get it done for Beer tokens £225 for VCDS as a minimum, or OBD 11 is cheaper but I only use VCDS, but there are plenty of posts on OBD11 and its use.

Halfrauds strike again - can't even change a battery! I should know better!
@ScottyNS As you have found, the full lock turns will have cleared the DASH lights but if they have not coded the new battery to the car, then it will not charge correctly (it won't go dead though so not to worry for now). There is an adaption that needs to be carried out using diagnostic software that tells the car its got a new battery and this works out the charging characteristics of the battery installed. VCDS, OBD11 can do this easily but Halfords do not have the capability to do this from what I understand but they will certainly flog you a battery and charge you to bung it in. Also you might need to check your one touch window operation, to reset, put window up and hold for 10 seconds.

Fuel pressure on 2.0 tdi 2016 and fuel trim
That's ok always like a dig into VCDS when some one else is in need. Not sure what you're looking into to be honest but happy to get some screenshots. Pretty sure my engines ok, there are no fault codes, I'm sure lambda would flag fault code as used for emissions. You want coolant at 90c or oil at 90c? Oil at 90c might be tricky given I have a slow drive home the last 5 miles..

same engine, heres a screen shot for you of mine, oscillates between the same values as you mention Screen shot from VCDS ADVMB. and with Air Mass actual and specified. Regards

Ideas for a ‘stealth’ TDI 2.0?
Obviously each to their own for modifying their own cars to suit their needs. Would I be far off expecting the suggested mods being, Remap : £400 -500. Suspension: £600 -1000 fitted for springs and shocks. "budget" is a bendy term. 😄

Octavia Scout 2016 smartlink
In order to see what you want on the screen they are correct as Smartlink that enables a wired connection from an iPhone (apple car play app) or android phone (android auto app) is not enabled on your year car and it costs £150. -200. Oh and don't skimp on a cable as there are lots of issues reported using cheap ones that don't connect properly. Hop on the MK3 Octavia forum for more info via the search facility.

Battery life for 2019 Octavia VRS
a) no should be covered by warranty, period. b) difficult to comment as depends on use but anything can fail prematurely. c) it's not an Audi so they have save the pennies somehow for it to be a Skoda. 😃, My 2016 2.0tdi has an EFB battery which is lower spec than an AGM battery, but it could be replaced with the better spec when it does go. Just to add that if you do not know already, the new battery has to coded to the car for the monitoring system to know it's condition and to charge it correctly. Dealer will charge for that, first 30 mins of diagnostic time is usually listed at £110. I can do it in 10mins with Vcds and would charge £10...lol.

Disable "Queueing traffic on the XXX" voice alerts?
I get this on my Amundsen and it's a 2016 without any android auto or Skoda connect. Same road quite often, red line on the Nav and the vocal warning, but no traffic/congestion to be seen at all. I just plough on. I'm sure this is coming from RDS system that's not been updated once traffic has eased.

Chemical Guys White Light
Butter/margarine also dissolves tar, learnt that from my parents at the beach when tar would wash up and got it on my hands but I cannot say I've tried putting it on a car, it would then need degreasing. Lol.

Chemical Guys White Light
Apply your autoglym bug remover onto a piece of kitchen towel and stick or lay it on panel. It should help it soak.

Does Sport Mode have any effect on steering?
My 2.0 TDI Dsg certainly has much stiffer steering in sport mode and also in D compared to eco, I don't like eco steering at speed, it's a bit too twitchy I also change from eco to D or S when on country roads for better confidence in tighter corners.

Does anyone know to measure oil pressure with vcds or autel?
I would agree with others that's the normal sound of the oil vacuum pump. Mine does that in the morning, it goes away once warmed up. I would not be worrying about it. I'll check vcds when I have a moment and see if oil pressure can be logged.

VCDS Log & DPF Check
I've done 25k miles in my car since owning it, (2016 so no adblue) and I have never ever had it not activate an active regen at least once per tank full no matter how I drive it. I've checked my values before and after active regen cycles more than a few times to understand how it behaves. 24g it will start one for sure. I've seen measured and calculated values gradually increasing before and I don't believe there is any passive activity occuring before that point. After, it drops to around 5g soot mass calculated. With my normal driving at around 250 miles soot mass reaches around 21g. Hence I roughly get a regen per tank with my driving at about 300 miles each time between active cycles. there is a useful advanced measuring block called "distance since last regeneration", it's in meters so just needs a quick conversion to miles. Personally I cannot see with normal driving conditions, even hard on the motorway, how you would ever achieve a temperature high enough to burn off soot and get "passive" regeneration of the dpf. Active regen pushes the exhaust temperatures to 500c. Even ragging the hell out of a car is unlikely to get anywhere near that temperature. I am an advocate of regular oil changes ( none of that "extended interval" rubbish with advanced oils) and don't interrupt any active regen cycles (or little as possible) and it should go on for many miles.

VCDS Log & DPF Check
When I have checked this information in Vcds, soot mass measured usually reaches about 24g before the car will carry out an "Active" regeneration (when it smells of burning and the fan is on and idle speed increases to 1000rpm). I see and expect this once per tank of fuel (about 550miles) in my 2.0 TDI. But can differ on how the car is being used. You could also check in the advanced measuring blocks menu "oil ash volume" "Oil ash mass" The " mass" is the unburned material that gradually clogs the dfp (don't worry though, as this happens over a long time and miles or Km). Its limit is 80g. My car has 76k miles and is at 26g so a long way from needing the dfp replaced.

Cruise Control Warning Light
Seems like charging the battery with a decent charger would be a first step to do but use a good charger like a Ctek msx5.0 to do a long maintenance charge. Are your journeys short or does it get a long drive regularly, if short then could well be battery.

Raising child booster seat
I agree that for a child, the rear windows are a little high when smaller, but I generally believe that this is due to the changes in car designs for side impact protection. Personally, I would not be adding a cushion to a child's seat so they can see out of the window, as this would compromise the safety of the seat from how it was intended to be used. The cushion would also move them up into a position out of the seats protection zone in a side impact collision. Keep your littles one safe and use as intended without modification.

Fleece or Binary AGM ?
Fleece for AGM, change the serial number and the Amps to suit your new battery. Job done👍

vcds and what it shows
I wouldn't have said oil ash mass is a bit high, I'm at 73000 miles and mines on about 26g. 80g is the limit so you're still a way off that. Regular oil changes and allowing DPF regeneration to happen fully when it wants to, will keep it low, but it's inevitable for the DPF to "eventually" need replacement but at what mileage is impossible to predict.

ESC system function not available
Quick Google using VW in the search points to a mis coded infotainment system, have you changed anything on this car in that regard. If so then the menu function might be disabled and needs recoding to match what was there before.
