  1. In your opinion, of course. In my opinion, I’d rather have airco on recirc than having a windows cranked open, breathing in traffic fumes or additional wind buffeting above 50 mph.
  2. I was thinking about getting this, especially with a current 30% off, but €22 to ship a tiny dongle to the U.K.? Now that is a complete rip-off. Order cancelled….
  3. You need to contact a member with VCDS… … and they will either know how to change the data provider or can follow the instructions in the guide; it’s not difficult, even a twit like me managed it it 10 mins (8 of which was waiting to get VCDS to open!).
  4. Stop driving it (obviously) and get it back to the bodyshop; there’s something they have not calibrated/fixed/replaced.
  5. Welcome to Briskoda, Martin. Unlike many others, it’s probably the kindest and most helpful of all forums I’ve joined.
  6. Interestingly, these appear to be far more popular in Ireland, across all makes/models. For me it was just the additional wind noise they created which I couldn’t stand, so-much-so that when we arrived at our destination from a 250 mile motorway drive, I removed and stuck them in the boot and later sold them to a fellow Briskodian.
  7. Thanks Colin.👍🏻
  8. Is that in the OE airbox, Colin? Any noticeable difference in noise?
  9. Had a set for a month, removed and sold them. All they did was create a load more wind noise. They’re a complete waste of money IMO.
  10. ….and I only thought it was me….
  11. That’s bizarre. I’d go for the Chinese copies; can’t be worse than the failed OE originals.
  12. The boot sockets in all three Superbs I’ve had (MKI, II and III) have been permanently live.
  13. Hmmm. Well, I’ve not seen any posts re self destruction of radio controls and the ones on our Columbus are fine. Do you have pics?
  14. What media unit are you describing?
  15. I’m not surprised it’d make much difference on a that type of drive, as the engine / gearbox are at optimal everything for a long period. I’d regularly get 60+ on the old MKI with a 110 mile round trip on 95% motorway.
  16. On my ridiculously short commute, I get between 12 and 15% better mpg using eco than I do with normal mode. Nothing scientific, just using the mpgomonitor.
  17. I’ve looked at it once when I first bought the car and never since.
  18. Ahhhh, right, a sort of hissing/whistling? Does it make the sound when the car is stationary and you Rev the engine?
  19. Welcome to briskoda. I’m sorry but I can’t hear anything over the wind roar..
  20. Same here in this weather. Upto 70 within a mile and 90 1/4 mile later. At 0c it’s around 2.5 miles to get to 90.
  21. Here you go…
  22. The full undertray is not a standard fitment. I think it’s only fitted to territories which has challenging terrain. I recall a member bought and fitted one, but can’t remember who. EDIT… It was JR RS in Oz
  23. Yeah, that’ll probably be because the diesel needs more cranking umph due to the high CR than a petrol so little, if anything, to do with price. Just like tyres, manufacturers pay a fixed rock-bottom price for all specs of batteries.
