  1. Errrrr, c’mon. Do you really think you’d need to have two tools to do the same job? Try again; it definitely works on the locking wheel nut cover.
  2. I’d still recommend the Conti All Seasons. I’ve now covered 15k on them and there’s no perceptible wear, but I do drive “sedately” 95% of the time.
  3. You probably can get the covers but, knowing VAG, they’ll be ridiculously expensive. And there are catches which the covers lock into which would need to be fitted too. I’ve no idea how the half covers are fitted on yours though.
  4. Impossible to say I’m afraid.
  5. @Sparky210 Have you always had the car serviced at a Skoda dealer? If so that’ll help with a goodwill claim. If not, they tend to be less helpful… ☹️
  6. Yeah, the seat base was just as difficult to remove as it was on the first occasion. I guess it could be that the MKII fixings were not sacrificial?
  7. Ahhh, that’s good 👍🏻
  8. And I definitely did not replace the “single use” clips either as they continued to hold the base in place; I’m sure they’re the usual VAG £7.80 plus VAT… EACH…. and on back order.
  9. Well done. Looks very similar to the MKII rear seat arrangement. I’d suggest you look at loosening the seatbelt anchors so they don’t damage the leather and heat element on the seat back.
  10. @MartiniB that’s a great number. I think if I were to drop to avg 65mph I’d probably get close to that sort of number. I’m a going to have to fill up as the gauge is just under the last 1/8th of a tank before reserve and have covered 481 miles so should easily see 500 miles plus. BTW, standard E10 is £1.38 here vs. £1.45 at Tesco in New Malden.
  11. Took me 6h27m at an average 33mph! 😂 Nah, it was 70/75 all the way (except on the M25 car park between 10 and 16) with the odd spirited boost, shocking those BMW/Audi drivers clinging to my boot lid.
  12. Yeah, thought that’d be the case; nice one. Early adopters generally get great deals. I use Sygic and have all options available at the time but I only paid a one off fee of £9.99 about 6 years ago.
  13. Best MPG I’ve had in the 280. Surbiton to the Stena line port at Birkenhead plus one stop on the M6 Toll.
  14. That’ll be that then… Cheers @nicknorman
  15. “Ahhhh right……you mean that NOX sensor, oh well then yeah, that one’s around €125!”
  16. That’s good news that you were able to use OBDEleven. I don’t know anything about the system but did you require credits to make adaptations? Perhaps the OP is out of credit? Dunno. Wait ‘n’ see.
  17. I just tried mine. The car is hot. I turned the heat to Hi, turned off Auto and switched the direction to full air from the upper vents. I can confirm that hot air was expelled from the storage area vent. Turning down to Lo had the opposite effect; nice chilled air from the storage area vent. I think there’s nowt wrong with your setup…..unless mine is wrong too!?
  18. @fixitsan, did you replace the wraparound pop-on heat shield too? I only ask as that original one looks decidedly knackered and will probably do less than a t-shirt wrap to protect the new sensors! Mind you, knowing VAG, it’s probably on back order and £110… plus VAT!
  19. In your opinion, of course. In my opinion, I’d rather have airco on recirc than having a windows cranked open, breathing in traffic fumes or additional wind buffeting above 50 mph.
  20. I was thinking about getting this, especially with a current 30% off, but €22 to ship a tiny dongle to the U.K.? Now that is a complete rip-off. Order cancelled….
  21. You need to contact a member with VCDS… … and they will either know how to change the data provider or can follow the instructions in the guide; it’s not difficult, even a twit like me managed it it 10 mins (8 of which was waiting to get VCDS to open!).
  22. Stop driving it (obviously) and get it back to the bodyshop; there’s something they have not calibrated/fixed/replaced.
  23. Welcome to Briskoda, Martin. Unlike many others, it’s probably the kindest and most helpful of all forums I’ve joined.
  24. Interestingly, these appear to be far more popular in Ireland, across all makes/models. For me it was just the additional wind noise they created which I couldn’t stand, so-much-so that when we arrived at our destination from a 250 mile motorway drive, I removed and stuck them in the boot and later sold them to a fellow Briskodian.
