Poor rear washer performance or just normal?
Ahh, so it’s an estate/tourer version? If so, I can’t help, but someone will post the info for you, I am sure.

On which model? If it’s the Superb, it can be popped off the pipe.

Fitting a cd player
Yep, but that’s the case with most analogue gear, especially reel to reel decks. I paid more than the original cost price to recap our Mums 1971 TEAC AS200S amp a couple of years ago. And you have to take into account the value of the item now too. The TD1200ii is worth around £1,200. Cost me £400 IIRC. Works fine when the voltage it stable; you get a drop and it goes nuts. Ultimately, it was more trouble than it was worth tbh (the Pioneer and Sharp units I had were far more reliable and just as good in the limiting sound arena of a car!) but I’m keeping it for the sake of nostalgia.

3d map option on 2023 superb SE L
Just wish the actual nav system was a bit better, albeit the 3D look would be nice. ☹️

Superb mk3 reliability
I kinda guessed you must’ve been up ‘n’ down the Emerald Isle; absolutely amazed, because…. 😳Have you seen the state of most of the roads in Ireland?? You need…. 1/ 🏀s and an a#@e of steel and 2/ a really well made car to survive 650,000 and 400,000kms of Irish roads respectively! 👍🏻

Oil Level Sensor and Combined Temperature - high level and when does the temperature display
From his first post, Toot…

Oil Level Sensor and Combined Temperature - high level and when does the temperature display
Those days have well and truly gone. I’d be surprised if they even apologised for the inconvenience they actually caused; 95% of main dealers are shameful.

Superb mk3 reliability
It doesn’t. The MK3 have a much newer range of engines. Anything between 1000 and 3000 miles for a litre of oil would be considered “normal”. Some owners say their 2.0 220/280 petrol use a litre of oil over the the same mileage, yet ours doesn’t seem to use anything. Both are normal.

Pleased it’s sorted. Did you have it overfilled by the same dealer? If so I presume they didn’t charge you today? In any event, that’s a school person error; no vehicle should ever be overfilled in 2023, especially by a main dealer - the damage to the engine and ancillaries can be significant.

Front wheel arch liner foam
They’re the standard L&K 19” ones, but I can’t recall their name. Also I can cfm that ours has the foam on top of the plastic wheel arch liners.

What is that “thing/sensor” he’s shot there, AS?

Superb mk3 reliability
PS.. I was expecting something exciting to appear on this thread, given the huge white space pauses @fabia88! 😂 PPS.. apart from a failed rear wheel speed sensor failure, which caused the dash to light up like a Christmas Tree (most worrying at the time) the 280 has been completely reliable in three years and 18000 miles.

Superb mk3 reliability
Hmmmm, well from experience I’ve found the situation to be completely different. If I hadn’t had 4WD on a trip to Ireland in Dec 21, I’m sure I’d never have got home on the P7’s. I think is was five cars I passed who had to give up on the snow and ice for lack of grip and brakes, albeit two were already in the ditch - but the Superb carried on at a steady 20mph without any major dramas. It was the night decided that I’d fit AllSeason tyres after the P7’s were tired and did so in Dec ‘22.

**SOLD** SUPERB L&K Estate, 2.0 Tsi DSG 280PS
Well, that’s a lovely car. Just goes to show how residuals have improved; I paid £20k for our 2016 hatch with 19,000 miles in 2020! One interesting thing on your car; I see it has a seat memory switch on the passenger seat? I didn’t think they were available at all, let alone standard?
