  1. Welcome Sam, congrats on getting the car to the Moon, I am sure it will make it back at least part way.
  2. Nice, enjoy 🤝
  3. Yup front wipers need bonnet closed to work, glad you got it all functional, top work 🤝
  4. Quick test would be to use VCDS to engage all the needle sweep output tests, that will rule out something broken in cluster. Odds are that you have a broken wire, and hopefully VCDS can locate a fault stored, then onto finding the critter.
  5. Sorry you did think that my post was aimed at you, it was not. Was more of a general post overall, that some don't always read the posts before responding, they can miss out the small details like the OP does not have Sat Nav even activated, does use Google maps, and I replied quickly that he can download map data offline, allowing it to work when deep in the outback. You was clearly replying to KaroqyBalboa to say that you can update via USB, and that you have to leave it in the car (as it updates in the backgroung, something I was already aware of)
  6. @triciaj You can buy some radio keys for a few pounds to remove the unit and then see what's written on top of it. Obviously unsure of the diagnostic process they used to determine it's dead, but if you plan to DIY a fix, then it needs to come out to ID unit. Will try to grab exact key name to extract. T10057 (may need 4x keys)
  7. @triciaj 5F is the address for the radio in the system. The part that lives in glovebox. Probably something stupid like £2-3000. That's the "module" they are talking about replacing.
  8. Also very glad you have it sorted, all that fingers crossed (vingers gekruist) must have worked. I only had a quick read of the wiring, but CAN communications seems to head to J519, that will of course talk to other things on the CAN network, so probably off to the ECU.
  9. That's ok, sometimes you cannot see the trees for the woods
  10. It has a partial number on the seal already xyz 955 229 3B0 955 229 is full number Will take a quick look now
  11. Yup, ppl have not been reading too close 😬
  12. Yes, the tool works with any 01xx 02xx 03xx 04xx firmwares I have never used the tool, so cannot support many questions, have to watch video guides on process.
  13. This is written under the YouTube video in his notes, along with links This method will work only on MIB2 Standard unit, made by Technisat/Preh, with navigation, with firmware version within the 01xx - 04xx range. Other unit (MIB1, MIB2 HIGH, Delphi, non-nav, firmware 05xx) are not supported by this method. This is your firmware MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0369T Being 03xx, you are in the range, and the T=Technisat model you have.
  14. Hold down your menu button to check Software Train MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0475T Available MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T This location has the actual firmware update button
  15. 0480 is available, I can send PM with link soon
  16. Noticed the same on many cars, not an issue worth investigating. Needle sits at top, and doesn't move for ages, and then begins to drop as you say. General consensus on the way they calculate is they have a reserve of 7lt (read in their documents before) that makes it appear to seem full for longer.
  17. In case someone else stumbles onto this thread, here are a few that you can choose from. https://www.skoda-parts.com/catalog/citigo/spare-parts/body/car-interior/caps-sealing-strips-protective-foils-447.html
  18. @roottoot No doubt the issue of hogging a charger will only get worse as adoption rate of electric cars increases. Fast forward a few years and tickets might get issued (the car park owners will want to replace their lost income)
  19. I wonder what madness has occurred at the factory. Begs the question as to why your car thinks it has got such a device. I will order a large box of popcorn for our next installment 🤣
  20. Yes to 0480, taking a coffee here, will try to send link over in a few minutes.
  21. I do have the firmware for them, but last person that tried couldn't get it to load. There's also a chance you loose functions during update, as system gets updated then it may erase the functions that were previously activated at factory (apple car play etc) After update is run, then you have to use dealer tools to communicate with the mother ship and download new codings and release the functions if they got nuked.
