  1. More than likely it is putting up the error because of your situation. Start keeping it locked and test if fault stops, you'll have an answer then.
  2. Well I do believe you have a "sanity" check of swipe for modifying anything. Surely you can take a screenshot of current gateway coding, then sniff about to see how/where to change it and again, take another screenshot and post here. At this point nothing is modified, so once you get the nod from us, you can adjust. An old YT video https://youtu.be/G6i9PiLmyM8 Scroll down the installation list, find 5F and untick
  3. Is that your screenshot above? OBD11 or similar?
  4. Start by getting it coded into the car, it will eliminate that, and save any issues you may have because of it.
  5. I would say you need to code out 5F from the gateway's installed list, as you no longer have your radio fitted.
  6. Odds are it's under rear seat sadly. Sensor needs to read what's inside the tank, so won't be anywhere else.
  7. You should get your Engine code off your V5 or something and report back.
  8. Usually close to the engine/gearbox where it mates together off top of head.
  9. For clarity, I guess this is just an expression right!?! 🤪 You may have a broken wire in the door loom causing you trouble, cannot say for certain, but seems a likely suspect given the sequence you mentioned.
  10. This should tell you the main important details on the Ad-Blue. IIRC you can see range left in I think the same display that shows you speed, fuel range, average mpg etc, by scrolling steering wheel controls. I think this is all the information you should need.
  11. There are very recent as well as old threads on batteries and needing coding in, do you remember who did the replacement? Not saying it is this, but can upset the car if not coded after change, seems a tad early for a battery replacment.
  12. You should be able to use either of the maps https://navigation-maps.volkswagen.com/vw-maps/DiscoverMedia2_EU-AS_1910_V16.7z or https://navigation-maps.volkswagen.com/vw-maps/DiscoverMedia2_EU1_1910_V16.7z First link will need 32GB card Second link will fit 16GB card Try and report back your findings on using latest maps. We could also look at your current firmware loaded on, though any updates will wipe out any "adjustments" made by the different garages. Perhaps check this out just to see if there is an update, and decide what to do.
  13. It could be the altenator dropping Voltage at idle, but also the bulbs nearing end of life perhaps yes. If you have HID headlights, the D1S I think from memory is the bulb fitted, and I would advice you replace the pair. If you can confirm if they are indeed HID, that would be good.
  14. Try and hold down the menu button a few seconds to enter the hidden menu, you are looking for Software Train information
  15. The logic of asking mileage is suspension parts do wear out, and sometimes can be hard to get in spec, and keep in spec. Potholes can do a fair bit of damage to suspension of course, and bend a part by a little to put the car out of spec again, old worn bolts perhaps cannot hold the suspension in spec, and sometimes need replacements. Basically many factors can be mentioned on here, at least now you are aware of the issue, you will keep a closer eye on things in the future, easily checked by applying full lock each direction and taking a look at both sides of the tyres now, rears you can get down low and check as needed. Now you have new rubber, you should locate a decent tyre centre you can get a 4 wheel alignment done at, complete with printout. Then experts on here can go over the values and advise much better. Hopefully someone might suggest a good local place if possible, best of luck to getting this sorted.
  16. I don't suppose you have the VIN of the donor car to hand? The maps on my MIB2 are not like yours I can say for certain, nothing in the root folder and only MAPS folder.
  17. I am guessing some cannot see the exposed cord. What sort of mileage on your car? And what sort of mileage did the poor tyres do to get in that state?
  18. Your files are old, 07.2013 Mine are 10.2017 revision. They are genuine, just someone probably sold you on eBay I guess, an older version. However, looked at both versions and cannot see any large differences on mobile phone. The instructions are the same, but link's are different. The technician/mechanic brains are able to figure out subtle differences, and also being familiar with the various fasteners will be able to remove faster and more effectively than Joe Public with no training. Just boils down to greater exposure and having seen before I guess.
  19. I did think that also last night too, but didn't answer until now and forgot. They are sensitive to Mac's adding files to the card for maps, be interesting to know the outcome of our questions.
  20. You had the tracking checked and it was all fine? Sorry not a mechanic, but looks like camber off by miles, some bad tracking or broken suspension? I'm probably as shocked as you seeing that.
  21. From what I know the only things stored in the head unit should be the VIN and what release codes for various parts like android auto etc will be stored. I would rather focus more on what's on the SD cards, are you able to show a screenshot of the file/folder layout, and attach copy of the file that should be in the root directory. Did you update the files? Did you use PC or Mac to do any map updates?
  22. Correct, 0369 version is available. Will send link in 20 or so minutes.
  23. I'm surprised it's only 4 pages, the VW document I suspect is bigger maybe, with more details. Thanks for adding what you have @Macca24
