  1. Hopefully you have some skin left on your knuckles, I look at a car and my hands bleed.
  2. Is it this little critter, part 8 on the Anti-roll bar? If so, 45Nm on new self-locking nuts. You will need 2x new if you wish to keep things safe and tight.
  3. Even more so if you can rotate it freely and beyond 30 degrees (rough estimate) Apologies if an earlier post made it seem you had broken it, fast reply and didn't read my own post enough! Good luck with the switch!
  4. No problems, please check above image and name the bolts you wish to check for rear
  5. For rear, please pick a part! Brain fog due to lack of sleep.
  6. Looks like 65Nm Part 2 with nuts 1 & 27
  7. These are the 2x possible parts for your Octavia IV, depending on if you have a 5E-M... VIN of NX-M... VIN 5C5 919 237 WGI.pdf 5Q0 919 237.pdf
  8. You may have a broken switch then, doesn't seem to operate like mine (albeit Oct III) Perhaps some with Oct IV will confirm if it is more "switch" like where it flips from off / on. Best of luck.
  9. Snippet from SSP082 Seems there is 100 degrees of angle between empty/full translated into a Voltage SSP082 Fuel Gauge sender.pdf
  10. Try SSP028 Octavia ESP / SSP042 Skoda ESP? There are other SSP's with nuggets buried here and there
  11. SVM Check, not a physical fault as mentioned, it's the car complaining it cannot talk to the SVM server to acknowledge the update of firmware. Fix B210A SVM "Fault"
  12. Mine only moved about the 30 or so degrees between off/on as indicated. Perhaps yours was inserted upside down at factory (I am looking to see if the switch can be flipped) So does yours "notch/flick" when going between positions, or no resistance?
  13. Mine is like the book When I flick the off/on it's "notchy" so a fair physical switch so to speak Can you operate the switch at all?
  14. I would read that as off, but I don't have Octavia IV, have you tried turning it clockwise?
  15. Do you have some problem? The only thing that occurs during updates is a fault code will be set for SVM (Software Version Management) where your car cannot update the SVM server with your new software version. The fault code will not stop the radio working, and you can clear it with VCDS with some calculations.
  16. All the doors and the boot lid are locked automatically once the car reaches a speed of about 15 km/h. You can set single door unlock, and motion lock with dealer or aftermarket tools like VCDS. Doors stay locked until anyone inside pulls a handle, they won't automatically unlock.
  17. Hi!

    Welcome 🤗
  18. No dealer will disable the immobiliser. Independent probably might have tools, but it's probably happening for a reason though. You might find that in the future the car stops potentially. Forgot to say welcome, and also this will most likely have stored a fault code(s) in the car, so they can begin to investigate. Though for costs, you may actually want to call around some independent workshops to see if they can do Immobiliser off, or diagnostic for you cheaper than main dealer with hands tied and higher prices.
  19. Welcome, and yes they are very nice in the back for tall people.
  20. Welcome by the way, and I would be inclined to follow Pete's advice... they could be getting you to fit a new sump etc just for the sake of a a few quids worth of silicon sealant that could have been used. Time for a second opinion methinks, alternative garage or try to locate yourself with guidance perhaps. Best of luck.
  21. Fabia III Rear Bumper Removal.pdf You should consider erWin Skoda account and pay 7 Euro's for an hour of access to grab all the wiring/repair information you need for the car... never know what will crop up next. Welcome to the forum also
  22. If you google with 045903023A as your search term you can see yes it does fit other models (all in theory) like Volkswagen Polo 2003-2006 9N 1.4 TDI Alternator 045903023A is equal to 6Q0199185D <-- Sorry grabbed information from a stupid website quickly, that number is bogus. Getting a list of these "converted" numbers is never easy. Start with the code that @Breezy_Pete gave you and hone your google-fu skills
  23. Fabia III Rear Speakers (from August 2014).pdf There you go, perhaps someone fitted them but never actually wired them because it was too much effort? Bad day at the factory perhaps 🤪
