  1. Pretty sure they are DQ250's as an option on Superb II's
  2. Welome Kev 🤝 Let's hope you can fix them faster than they are falling off.

    Welcome Dovie 🤝
  4. Hi

Welcome Mika, fingers crossed your car comes on time 🤝
  5. SW Train: MEN3_EU_SK38X_P1245L MUVersion: 1765 This one does exist, and if you get desperate you are welcome to try this release. Just so you know your Software Train version posted is in theory not blocked for the above update. Just the jump in versions is great and makes me suspect, anyhow the risk is yours if you want to attempt it.
  6. I will send you a link to a file you can try
  7. AFAIK they don't share the same base software, where this is MEN3.... They software for the others use MOI3... string and are way bigger. MEN3 are several hundred megabytes in size compared to MOI3 that are 10x bigger. Don't have a lot of time to reply in more depth, or maybe a PM if you require more thoughts on this.
  8. See how you get on with it, if the battery plays up, then time to order a replacement. AGM's don't tend to fail really quickly, they tend to fade out gracefully, unless a cell goes down internally. So you should see plenty of warning signs, good luck!
  9. Yes I did Adapt it when fitting, and gave it a damn good charge also. If you read the document, you may be fine to drop in and turn steering wheel full lock each way and go. As you are going AGM to AGM with near as dammit the same Ah ratings you can drive it. In a perfect World get it adapted, and you can do it down the line if needed.
  10. Yes that's what is fitted to mine now as replacement. Just check the dimensions quickly before ordering, but 99.9% sure you've got it.
  11. Nah, you jinxed it now 😄 Hopefully it's all good now. 🤝
  12. I am sure some experts will be along to advise you hopefully, best to not replace parts without some proper diagnostic session (live data etc) Best of luck.
  13. You may find these days that most garages put in long-life oil for long-life or 1 year fixed servicing. Right now your best bet is still as I said, take it back to get them to reset it until May, or ignore the warnings untill May. Your oil will get you to then no problem. I know some people will change oil every 5k miles, but that's each to their own (maybe based upon older cars from yesteryear?)
  14. You can edit your post an hour afterwards if you have made about 10 forum posts. Alternatively you can pay to upgrade your membership. Meanwhile, welcome to the forum 🤝 I was confused when I first read your post, glad you clarified it. Most sensors take in +12v and then drop it down to whatever is needed 1v/5v etc and then this is your signal fed back to whatever is needing it, most likely your engine ECU. Might be good idea to post up your engine code as written on your V5 so that wiring diagrams can be found if needed.
  15. Welcome to the forum Mark, For a few years, the Alternator will not work at 100% all of the time. They battery tries to maintain about 80% SOC (State of Charge) roughly iirc, and allows a little headroom of energy to be input on overrun.
  16. In theory you can, but there will be a part where it will want to talk to the "mothership" and download maybe new FEC codes/coding and you won't be able to do that at home. It was more to see if update is there, and you can visit dealer/independant workshop quoting the TPI document number. VAG main dealers always seem reluctant to update, but they maybe correct that you have already current version. You youself would need to weigh up the risk vs. reward, if this will benefit you to check/load update.
  17. Hopefully one of the retrofit people will respond at some point, not sure I would be too bothered about cameras myself. Parking sensors are probably worth it, but rears are the only one's that interest me. I can park fine without, but my son is learning to drive in the car, and the front and rear are invaluable for him 😄 Forgot to say, the only upgrade I did was to fit LED's to the reversing bulbs, as the original bulbs are like two candles (I undertand they are there for you to signal your intentions to other motorists before someone speaks up) but I prefer to see the surroundings for my own eyes.
  18. Take a picture of what is fitted, if you have AGM it will not likely die in the day or two you have to wait for Tanya to deliver. The most likely size you have is 096 but you should check dimensions https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/types/096-agm/ Varta is my own personal preference as they are fitted at factory, mine lasted 7 years and was replaced before it went kaput, so might have gone to 8-9 years maybe. Bosch should be made in same place as Varta, all the other brands I do not know if they are worth your money.
  19. This is your most likely cause of it, if the oil was changed last year and is on your receipt... travel back and get them to reset it correctly this time. If not just live with the warning each time you turn on until May, then drop oil.
  20. There are some newer updates and they contain a list of "Blocked" software trains, of which yours is not on the list... which means in theory it will load. I would not be comfortable sending unless you looked online with erWin Skoda in the TPI documents to check if the newer firmwares can load, otherwise it could break the unit. It's not worth the risk, but 0892 is the last version I have before they jump into the 1xxx version numbers.
  21. I was waiting on @toot to reply, as I knew he would. I recall someone else reported this a few months back, might take some digging out to find it. It seems most likely it was not set correctly to a fixed service last year, and it was set roughly two years ago on a long-life service schedule where it uses internal tables inside ECU to determine distance to change. It can drop suddenly when it get's near the end of a long-life regime and you are left puzzled when you loose a lot of miles very quickly. Short trips basically do not equal 1 mile to 1 mile lost on the schedule, they can drop faster as these journeys will wear oil quicker. It's whatever is programmed in the internal tables, something you have no control over. If you had access to VCDS or similar tool you could find out what yours is currently programmed to right now, maybe variable I suspect.
  22. I would personally be surprised if he rear wiper was the one to use, but I've never loaded a dash cam for parking mode. Might be an idea to make a new thread perhaps in Octavia iV section to see who has fitted one (if the search bares no fruit)

Welcome Shane, hope we can help you. 🤝
  24. Welcome, I can send link to you in a few moments
  25. Not sure if you are aware, but you can lookup your manual for the car and the fuse assignment for each one. https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models You won't need your VIN, but it can be quicker if you have it, otherwise scroll down to Ocatavia iV You will still need some ideas from here on which fuse if permantly live, or find out with testing yourself.
