  1. well a 245 tyre is 10mm wider than a 235 tyre.......so u would b looking at extra 40mm (4 cm) in total. as for the height clearance, that would depend on the tyre profile, i.e 35, 40, 45 etc etc., in combination with rim size, i.e. R18 or R19. without looking at the exact specs, the 245 tyres, R18 or R19, will definitely require more space than ur 235 R18 tyres.
  2. @Danoid - provided u have KESSY and u have the Easy Open option in ur infotainment setup correctly - u should b able open/close with the key fob. I can open with key fob up to 50m away from the car. I can't open with key fob when inside the car. I can close with key fob provided I'm within 3m in the area behind the car. I can't close with key fob when inside the car.
  3. Not sure. Mine is MY17. Factory behaviour.
  4. Close with virtual pedal - yes. Close with interior button - no. Close with key fob - yes. Open with virtual pedal - yes. Open with interior button - yes. Open with key fob - yes.
  5. I didn't replace the whole thing - just the sides bits, as shown in my pic. Removing the whole thing is a different story, and definitely not a 5 min job. My factory shifter is still in good condition. I only changed it cause I fancied a change, but OEM+ To remove, using trim removal tools - pop off the top DSG plate, then pop the sides off, one by one. Once off, the new sides simply click into place.
  6. Did a bit of a "Shifty" business today on Gandalf 😁 It now matches the look n feel of the steering wheel and seats. Less than 5 mins to swap it over. Sourced from AliExpress. Nothing wrong with old, nor was it worn out. Was just time for a change. Left pair = new perforated ones Right pair = factory original ones Fitted...
  7. The throttle controller doesn't change the idle rpm. As for the TCU tune - I have the APR DQ250 tune. Details here. I have the version that is targeted for the FWD (in my case 220 Superb), allowing "better" power delivery. It pairs nicely with my APR Stage 1 Hi-torque ECU tune. On the dyno it cranked out 223kw 530Nm, at the wheels, before I had the IE FDS v2 Intercooler installed.
  8. i did the "Audi Throttle response" coding via VCDS, many many years ago - it made a slight improvement. last year i got an EVC Throttle Controller - olly molly was that a huge difference and improvement!! compliments the Stage 1 ECU and TCU tunes very nicely. many have tried it and love it too. i would highly recommend it.
  9. +1 There r so many other systems dependent on the DCC. I personally would not b messing with it.
  10. With the Columbus units in the Superb, MY15 to MY17 had the MIB2 units paired with the 8" screen with buttons. MY18 to MY19 has the MIB2.5 units paired with the 9.2" screens with no buttons. Sadly u can't run the MIB2.5 units with the 8" screens. Unless u downgrade the glovebox unit to a MIB2. I'm not sure if this possible.
  11. @Trinity99 - u could try running through the reverse mirror dip learning process again, as per the user manual, to see if that fixes the issue. other things that come to mind is potentially a faulty seat controller module (#36). there has been a TPI issued for it, that updates the software/firmware from version B H08 0021 to version C H09 0024.
  12. @KenM - here u go. This is for the Columbus MIB2 unit with the 8" screen. B8_Superb_Columbus_InfotainmentSystem_Navigation.pdf
  13. @Frizz - U definitely do not have a pre-facelift Superb. Based on the 1st image, u have a Facelift Superb. The 2nd image is the headlight ballast - no point sharing that. No point following the coding @MartiniB shares, or shared as that applies to the pre-facelift Superb. This is the facelift Superb headlight.
  14. @Frizz - It's on the headlight itself, on top. Under the black bracket. FL - means Facelift Superb. 2020 onwards. Pre-FL - means pre Facelift. 2015 to 2019. U say that it lights up with the low beams. That sounds like u have the SLA headlights - that's good. 👍 U should b able to activate the eyelashes as DRLs. This is the coding I used to activate it.
  15. With mk3 pre-facelift Superb, for DRL eyelashes u need the right headlight, i.e. Bi-Xenon Version B. This is the Smart Light Assist (SLA) version. The normal version A headlights don't have the hardware inside the headlight to activate the eyelashes. U can tell the version of ur headlight by opening the bonnet and looking at the white sticker on top of it. If the part number starting with 3V ends in B, then u have the right version and u can enable the eyelashes with DRL. I can share the coding for that if u want.
  16. My understanding is that u can't adjust the caster on the Superb's suspension. Which would explain the reading.
  17. Essentially it "amplifies" u pressing the accelerator pedal. The result is ur not having to press the pedal hard before the car starts moving. Read about it here. There r various levels u can set it to, to suit ur liking. It takes less than 5 mins to install.
  18. With ET48, those bicycle skinny 6" wide wheels will disappear deep inside the wheel arch of the Superb!! It will look horrible! Assuming that it clears the brake calipers.
  19. As above, not possible to get Android Auto maps on the VC. U can only show the factory built-in maps.
  20. Thanks @ApertureS for the part numbers. It would seem I need to get 3V0 857 538C No Area View (KA0), with Blind Spot (7Y1).
  21. A throttle controller will fix that nicely. I've got an EVC Throttle Controller - highly recommended 👍
  22. Strange. I bought the facelift Superb MY19-22 wing mirror from VAGEXPRESS, and they insisted it was the right part. This was the part number on it - 3VD 857 538A. https://vagexpress.com/products/for-superb-lane-assist-side-assist-mirror-case-mirror-cover-blind-spot-lane-change-side-assist-light-for-mqb-skoda-superb-mk3-19-22-6051 Do u happen to know the part number of ur facelift wing mirror cover?
  23. i don't understand. r u asking why big difference between DCC Slider Mod vs DCC standard? both VW and SKoda use the same DCC hardware - Gen 1 DCC and Gen 2 DCC Pro systems. the DCC software algorithm will change between models and brands, for obvious reasons.
  24. Definitely not. a few months ago i bought a facelift wing mirror cover, with the blind spot light in the cover - completely different size and no chance of it fitting. Had to return it. If the cover is different, the internals will b different, including the blind spot light position next to the hinge. U can see from the image comparisons below that the dynamic indicator light also has a different length.
  25. The mk4 Superb uses the next generation of DCC, called DCC Pro. It uses 2 valves, hence it can better control the rebounds and compressions, with far superior responsiveness. The 1st Gen DCC uses only 1 valve.
