Gandalf's Evolution
So I decided to change the front grille light bar to a proper one, i.e. not a homemade version. This one is an aftermarket one, from AliExpress - link here. They make different versions - mk6, mk7/7.5 and mk8 Golfs. Comes with the light animation at the start. It's cool. I specifically got the mk6 version as it was the right length for the Superb grille. I simply removed the surrounding trim that came in. It comes with a wiring harness (14-pin) that u can connect to ur existing headlight plug. Its designed to turn on with the low beam. I however used my existing wiring that i did before to power it up, so it comes on with the DRLs. The kit.... The light bar for the mk6 Golf.... The light bar without the surround.... The light bar test fitted... Clearance around the ACC radar.... The finished result.....

Dynamic indicators disappointment
I've fitted the dynamic indicators, from AliExpress, many many years ago. No issues with the fitment on the MY17. I know a few others who have used it to, with no issues. Likely u've got the facelift version, which has a different design to the pre-facelift wing mirror. Facelift started from MY20 I believe.

Afs cornering light
ur bulbs might b fine but there is clearly an issue with a sensor / wire / signal - hence why it doesn't do the startup dance. most likely its pointing straight down, which is basically the headlights operating in "limp mode". based on the error message - ur right headlamp is saying that it is not getting a signal its expecting.

Adaptive Cruise Control
Using OBDEleven or VCDS u can disable the undertaking prevention, so it's not reacting to cars in the adjacent lane. @Millster - the garage won't change ur ACC behaviour.

How to Guide - Superb 3 OEM Intake Mod
Yeah, it should help more indeed. It's like having a blocked nose on one side, u can still breathe, but now ur nose is unblocked and ur breathing is unrestricted!! Win win 😁

How to Guide - Superb 3 OEM Intake Mod
Glad u got the job done, but I find it way easier to remove the bumper than to fab around squeezing into various panels n tight spaces. There is no need or requirement to remove the radar or the bonnet release lever. Not long ago I dremeled out the opening properly - from the holes I had originally to fully open.

urs is a MIB2.5 unit with the 9.2" screen. based on ur current firmware (MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4523 - MU:1382), the latest available is MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4526 (MU: 1440). u can't do OTA firmware update. I made a how-to guide recently on how to update the firmware on the MIB2/2.5 units. hope this helps. Firmware Update Guide v1.0.pdf

Gandalf's Evolution
The Hardrace front swaybar (7758) is in. 28mm. Car feels a lot more tighter, making corners flat n easy 😁 Did a wheel alignment as well as they had dropped the sub-frame. All good. It nicely compliments the existing Hardrace rear swaybar (7759) and front strut tower brace (8949). The original factory one.....

Gandalf's Evolution
I had to pry/break it out as I wasn't planning to use it for later.

What have you done to your Superb III today?

Stock RARB vs Golf R RARB...
@Dooge - 21mm vs 21mm.....that's no difference. U need to get something like 24mm or so for it to b an upgrade, and to notice a difference. Superb 280 and Golf R use the same RARB. Superb 220 and Golf GTi use the same RARB. I've got Hardrace 25.4mm RARB on my Superb 220. Made a massive difference.

Component protection active
@jonesi100 - U've triggered Component Protection on both the Central Electrics (09) and Gateway (17) modules - that means something has been added to the car that wasn't originally fitted from factory, or something has been removed from the car. What did u change? U need to remove the Component Protection by visiting a dealer to take care of it.

Component protection active
Wat error? The Central Electrics module is the BCM. There r different versions of it. Wat is the part number of ur current BCM?

Superb 280 Top Mounts
I've heard good things about the SACHS strut top mounts & bearings.

Battery Cover Options
Yup, I've got that hard cover for the battery. Got it from AliExpress. Yes, it doesn't sit tightly on top of the battery, but it stays wedged in place.

Tow bar difference
Sorry, my bad - I was meant to write "1D7". Looks like u have it, which is good.
-
Tow bar difference
As above - no difference if wagon or liftback. There r different versions depending on the level of "bits" U get with it, such as wiring, plugs, modules etc etc. Does ur car have Trailer Hitch Prep already? PR Code AHV. If so, it will already have the wiring harness from the BCM sitting inside the boot, left side behind the trim. All u have to do then is connect the towbar to the towbar module, and the module into the existing wiring harness inside the boot. Once installed u need to do the associated coding (using VCDS or OBDEleven) to enable it all, including changes to Engine, Brake, ACC, PDC modules.

How-to Guide to Upgrade MIB2 to MIB2.5
found another feature "unlocked" as a result of the MIB2.5 conversion - Sports (Performance) Monitor!! woOot normally this only enabled on Sportline models.

Sat Nav Updates
If ur doing maps or firmware updates - i recommend u use a SD-Card 64GB max and formatted in FAT32.

How-to Guide to Upgrade MIB2 to MIB2.5
That will NOT physically fit in the Superb. The Skoda 9.2" screen does not have a seperate frame or trim surround. Likewise, u can't buy the 9.2" screen from the Kodiaq and expect it to physically fit in the Superb.

What bulbs are fitted to the S3 & upgraded bulb recommendations
@dilino 4x Footwell lamps r the same type I believe. 1x glovebox 2x boot (for liftback)

How-to Guide to Upgrade MIB2 to MIB2.5
Been a week now since the MIB2.5 conversion and screen upgrade. Here r my initial observations:- - the 9.2" screen has a much higher resolution. its more brighter and the clarity is next level - the infotainment start up is a lot quicker than before - the screen feels more responsive. additional features gained from the conversion:- - split screen home screen. really handy to see 3 different screens at a time. i've set mine to Nav (main), Vehicle Status (top right), Audio (bottom right) - screen background matches background ambient lighting - Seats assistance in the menu to enable driver's seat access aid - grid view of menu options - clock on standby, or screensaver mode

How-to Guide to Upgrade MIB2 to MIB2.5
yes, the 9.2" screen has a much higher resolution. its more brighter and the clarity is next level. the C9D2 is not a screen thing - its a MIB software installation change thing. even doing a normal firware update will require this last step.
