  1. Likely ur original ballast that failed had caused the imminent failure of the bulb, aka all that strobing. When changing xenon bulbs, it's good practice to change both bulbs at the same time, otherwise the new one will b off a different colour temperature to the old one. As the mentioned above - u can change to LED bulbs instead, if u can. I recently switched from xenon D3S bulbs to LED D3S bulbs (JW Speakers brand). A big improvement, plug & play. No errors or issues.
  2. Sorry, I had done a typo earlier - was meant to say 30, not 40. All good. I call my Superb Gandalf cause of the references to Grey.
  3. I use Mobil Super 3000 Formula V Engine Oil 5W-30. It's VW504 oil, and is used for fixed oil service intervals, every 15k KMs. I however change the oil myself, at the 6 month mark, in addition the regular 12 month service, because my car is tuned.
  4. Usual oil temps on my 220 is between 90-95°c, in the colder months. In summer it's usually between 95-100°c. Gandalf uses 5w-30 fully synthetic oil.
  5. Not according to the tyre size comparison calculator......
  6. There is most certainly a definite comfort increase. Many many mk3 Superb owners have switched from the the factory 235/40/19 tire to 245/40/19 tire, and have found it more comfortable. The sidewall height increases by 5 mm.
  7. A Skoda erWin subscription will give u the paint codes, plus all the PR Build codes, based on ur VIN number.
  8. @enoktakenokta - u should never have to go into the engineering menu to update the maps. "Software Update" can either refer too maps or firmware. As @Gabbo suggested - sounds like the file structure on ur USB might b the likely suspect.
  9. @Ole1980 - from wat I've read thus far, no it can't be coded as DRLs on the facelift Superb. They only work when the headlight low beam is on. However with the pre-facelift it is possible as its a different headlight technology altogether.
  10. Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2025 🍻
  11. On the pre-facelift Superb, the interior lights turn on when u open the door, not when u turn the ignition off. I would assume the same for the facelift Superb too.
  12. The headlight pins r on the B-connector.
  13. There r a number of fuses that r headlight related:- 23 - light right 31 - light left 35 - AFS 36 - headlight right 37 - headlight left 43 - xenon headlights The headlight power ballast, one each, at the back of the headlight, is also a likely culprit. On RHD Superb the BCM is located on the left of the passenger footwell, below the glovebox. It's not easy to get to at all, especially if u want to disconnect the connectors. It is highly unlikely that the connection at the BCM is the culprit here. In the pic below, u can see the connectors for B and C. The connector for A is further in.
  14. CJX is EA888 Gen 3. DNU & DNF are EA888 Gen 4. Both DNU & DNF have no MPI (multi point injection) Both of them pair with 7sp DQ381 DSG, and have GPF. While CJX, has both direct injection and mpi, pairs with 6sp DQ250 DSG, and works without GPF.
  15. On RHD Superb, it's on the passenger side, below the glovebox, left of the footwell.
  16. Pre-facelift 2015-2017 use MIB2 units. Pre-facelift 2018-2019 use MIB2.5 units. Facelift 2020 onwards use MIB3 units.
  17. 238-306 etc etc is for the MIB3 units. 1382, 1440 etc etc is for MIB2, MIB2.5 units. Firmware updates cannot be done via the online update portal. Search this forum - there r a few discussions which provide instructions on how to update the MIB2/2.5 firmware.
  18. Please don't go sticking stuff over or blocking the ACC Radar!! U can disable the "under taking prevention" using OBDEleven or VCDS. Coding below. Under taking prevention is known to b trigger happy by slamming on the brakes when a car slows down to turn left in the adjacent left lane (for LHD) or when turning right in the adjacent right lane (for RHD). Very annoying, and yes, can b dangerous if someone rear ends u. Disabling it will not cause it to slam on the brakes.
  19. The Columbus does not need the maps on the SD-Card to operate. Once updated, u remove the SD-Card.
  20. As above - a damaged ACC radar will cause a range of issues and disable a number of assist systems. Fixing it is complex and will require expensive recalibration of the radar too.
  21. The reverse parking sensors on the Superb is on the black diffuser bit, not on the painted bumper bit.
  22. For the MIB2.5 units, yes 1440 is the latest firmware version. MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4526 MU1440
  23. +1 U can't reprogram the TPMS sensors or the module using OBDEleven, VCDS, VCP or ODIS. They have their own specialist dedicated tools.
