  1. tis the "same" DQ250 in both the 162 and the 206 Superb. what is different is how they drive the wheels - 162 is DQ250 FWD version while 206 is DQ250 AWD version.
  2. The Canton setup in the Superb contains:- The Canton setup differs in other Skoda models.
  3. U could try swapping out the modules as suggested above, but keep in mind that each headlight has 3x modules, one of them being the ballast. Unfortunately getting to them is a bumper off job. To do that, u need the wheels off and wheel arch liner off, ideally. U can see 2 of the modules in the bottom pic below. I made a how to guide here. Removing Front Bumper.pdf
  4. No bother - always glad to help. With the front, it uses/shares the same hole as that is used to hold the wheel arch liner and/or front mudflap. With the rear, u need to drill a hole into the wind deflector trim Infront of the rear wheel. Then fix using rivet or nut & bolt. Front & rear easy to do. With the middle, u need to use the supplied kit. It contains black automotive sikaflex bond/glue. It comes with all the instructions - u just need to prep and follow it step by step. I did mine at home. The mudflaps were a pain to do - took ages, and I had to trial fit, then shave off a bit more that trial fit again until I got it right.
  5. based on the error description "sensor for variable lighting motor", and assuming u have SLA headlights - it sounds like the motor associated to roller that does the high beam shape/masking is failing. it would explain why it won't let u put the high beam on. if that is the case, sadly that will require an entire headlight replacement.
  6. Yup, that's the current facelift mk3.5, just MY23 version. The "next gen" will b different, and most likely mk4. Likely they'll reveal the mk4 this year, 2023, with production to start sometime in 2924.
  7. The Superb doesn't have adjustable suspension, instead it has Adaptive Dampers (shocks), if optioned. The springs r ur normal coils of steel. Springs come in different flavours, based on engine size, sedan/wagon, and AWD/FWD. Make sure u get the right one for ur setup.
  8. U can get the mk3 puddle lights from plenty of places such as AliExpress or eBay, however watch out for their quality. I would recommend from Kopacek. http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-MEGA-POWER-LED-mirror-downlight-KI-R As for the puddle lights - mine r already bright. It's the factory LED ones. If u do end up needing to change ur puddle lights, b careful not to break ur wing mirror glass in the process!!!
  9. Finally Google decided that today was the day for my Pixel 5 and my MIB2 (Superb MY17) to get the Coolwalk update!! Initial experience is positive. Mine is running through AAWireless and I can change the DPI setting which influences the layout. Mine is currently set to 128 DPI.
  10. I "enabled" Air Care on my Superb, however it won't "activate" despite meeting the required conditions to operate. Anyone have any ideas why it's not working? I wonder if it's because of the cabin filter currently in the car. There r 3 types - Normal, Coal, and anti-allergenic versions. Any help would b appreciated. Coding done..."Filtering of interior compartment air" changed to installed. Air Care now shows on Climatronic.. Unfortunately ticking the Active option does nothing....
  11. Likely the previous owner was constantly towing heavy loads, that the springs have literally lost their ”spring in their step”!!!
  12. The sensors (2nd pic) r two long strips that r placed inside the rear diffuser, as shown in the 1st pic.
  13. I put Auxito T10 W5W LED bulbs in the glovebox about 4 yrs ago. It is still going good, no issues with it - open or closed, moving or stationary. I put Kopacek (Superskoda) units in the boot and door warning lights - they too r still going great. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/372661798890?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=Z15-RgX2SWu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=lD_jGR-4Tj6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  14. Thanks for clarifying @fencer 👍
  15. Most new Skoda vehicles being delivered here don't have engine covers anymore. It's not just Skoda - VW cars too. The latest crappy hard/soft foam engine cover is a fire hazard - hence why they're been dumped, literally. I'm glad I don't have the latest EA888 Gen3 engine in my Superb cause I like my covers.
  16. I don't believe so. He said he's got metal clips in the headlights - it means he's got version A headlights, hence he has non-SLA headlights. He can activate the auto high beams, aka High Beam Assist (HBA). If it had the round green clip holder, instead of the metal springs, then it would b the version B headlights, hence it could do the fancy auto high beams, aka Smart Light Assist (SLA).
  17. Never use the same original bolts if ur using spacers!!!! U MUST get longer bolts that match the thickness of the spacer being used.
  18. U can activate it using the instructions below, provided u have the correct A5 camera.....
  19. I put Phillips XtremeVision Gen2 D3S xenon bulbs in mine almost 4 yrs ago. They're brilliant. https://youtu.be/h4MRMKYGTTY
  20. there is a setting "Light Sensor sensitivity" in the infotainment, under Light Settings, to select Early, Medium or Late for the auto headlights. have u tried that?
  21. In my case, I didn't have to physically change the Gateway (3Q0907530C) or DCC (5Q0907376A) module. The guy who did this for me used VCP to update the software versions and upload the parameters. I don't know the VCP procedure/steps involved. I'm not sure wat tools he used to source the software and datasets. It's a cost service he's offering - so he'll b keeping it a "closely guarded secret".
  22. No, it's not unintentional - it makes total sense now that I've read the SSP on DCC. The algorithm influences the shocks behavior and the power steering responsiveness. The parameter dataset is not "generic". It is the same dataset used by the Arteon and Passat B8. They come from factory with the DCC parameter dataset. Pretty sure "other things" won't b changed, or have unintentional behaviors.
  23. A few days after getting the DCC Slider mod done, i was wondering why the Steering felt "different", e.g. in Normal mode, the steering weight was slightly heavier/firmer. In Comfort mode, it felt less disconnected and more like Normal. Thanks to @varooom sharing a link about the technical workings of the DCC system - it shows the power steering module is part of this system too, as it interacts with the DCC module. Hence it seems the new DCC parameters/algorithm better mapping has also improved the steering weight/feel. An added bonus I wasn't expecting with this mod.
  24. so ur passenger seat has the memory seat buttons, like the driver's side? maybe it is a new thing on the facelift Superb. i'd b very surprised though. like this.....
  25. 500+ horses!!! Have u got a TCU (DSG) tune? If not, getting it might allow u to unleash more Torque.
