  1. Love the wheels!! Also like the chrome touch across the rear
  2. Hahahaha....thanks. Ur gonna hate this one though - a bit too far some, oh heck, most would say, but I can't have enough badging to remind me of wat model Skoda I have!!! Hahahaha
  3. lol.....mine is a frankenstein version - i've got a pre-facelift and i removed (a few years ago) the original lettering and improvised with my own spaced lettering badging with "S U P E R B" front & back in fact not to everyone's taste, i know.
  4. @GregorSamsa- the heated wing mirrors on my Superb MY17 does a good job of clearing frost. Given u mentioned ur seat memory module is not working - it is likely to affect the heating functionality. The wing memory position is stored/managed by the seat memory controller. Maybe the heating is somehow related.... @Berisford- u don't need rear window demister on to use the heated wing mirrors.
  5. 2015 to 2017 gets the MIB2 unit. 1st pic 2018 to 2020 gets the MIB2.5 unit. 2nd pic. 2021 onwards gets MIB3 units. U can upgrade from MIB2 to MIB2.5. Many have done it. But u'll need to also change the unit in the glovebox. If u do upgrade to the MIB2.5 unit, then this opens the door for u to upgrade to a digital/virtual cluster.
  6. lol, all good. but i'm not sure, maybe, though i highly doubt u'll b able to spray it with a nozzle of some sort. if u have access to a car lift/hoist, u might b able to get a better view to see if it would be possible at all.
  7. yeah.....nah! to get to the front swaybar clamps, u need to drop the sub-frame - no thanks!!!
  8. U missed the bit where I said "pic below shows endlink at its minimum length, prior to adjustment" From the numerous forums and research I've read - they all mention, and explain why there is preload after the car is lowered. And I also saw it for myself - when I had the old endlinks removed and the car was on the ground, I could see swaybar's normal position, which was far off from the factory endlink's bottom point. This was because of the shorter Eibach springs Yes, u can push/pivot the swaybar upwards, but it requires a lot of force and the swaybar doesn't stay in that position, instead it rebounds back to its original position - as is expected normal behaviour for a swaybar. Try it for urself. This tension/resistance is the pre-load everyone refers to. Again, as I said before - it's not critical to do, and the factory endlinks will put up with "shortfall". I did it cause I wanted to.
  9. No, the new ones r longer. No, it doesn't affect DCC behaviour. Lowering means shorter springs, increasing the distance of the endlink mount points between the strut and swaybar. Hence it (endlink length) increases by the amount dropped/lowered. DCC is not affected, but rather it affects the turn in, steering feel and front stabilisation. The longer length endlinks eliminates the swaybar preload, caused by the shorter springs. Similar to the rear, but in that case u use shorter endlinks, which I've already done a while ago now.
  10. its a slow & steady, never ending evolution for Gandalf
  11. over the weekend i installed upgraded/longer front endlinks. with the car lowered 20mm, the endlinks needed to be 20mm longer, to compensate for the drop, in order for the front swaybar to continue to work efficiently with no pre-load. these Whiteline (KLC167A) endlinks r adjustable ones, so it can b precisely adjusted to the required length. i was meant to do this a long time ago, but given its not critical to do, i was in no rush. not critical because the car was only lowered 20mm, which the factory endlinks can handle, for the most part. anything more than 40mm drop, then it is highly recommended, aka a must! factory endlinks r 340mm. adjusted whiteline endlinks to 360mm. (pic below shows endlink at its minimum length, prior to adjustment) installing it was tedious, as i had to remove the front bumper and front wheel arch liners, in order for me to be able to make the endlink adjustments with the suspension loaded, i.e. car on the ground. with my car lowered and the front splitter, there was no way i could squeeze between 110mm of ground clearance to access the endlinks!! even with wheels at full lock. so come off they had to.
  12. did u replace the lamp with an aftermarket LED one? usually the pulsing/flickering means a poor quality lamp, and is not CANBUS friendly.
  13. Interestingly, the liftback is 5mm longer than the wagon!!
  14. Yes it is - I bought mine from AliExpress for half that price. I just posted that link for reference.
  15. Get a 1hr account with Erwin Skoda, using ur VIN get a vehicle specific report. It's a 7-9 page report on every PR build code used to build ur car, including wat options were fitted from factory. The boot sticker is nowhere near as comprehensive or complete.
  16. i've been running the Start-stop memory module in my Superb for more than a year now - its been brilliant. it always remembers, on restart, the last state i left the start-stop in, and i can always hit the start-stop button to reactivate when i know i'll b stopped at the lights for a while. no need to "trick" the car by altering voltages with VCDS/OBDEleven.
  17. thank you regarding the suspension drop with the Eibach Pro-kit..... u'll get a 35mm drop if u have standard suspension. u'll get a 20mm drop if u have DCC suspension as its already 15mm lower than standard. i don't know how much lower than standard the Sportline suspension is, so i'm not sure wat the final drop amount will be. i also believe the Sportline comes in two flavors - one with DCC and one without DCC. not sure how this pans out.
  18. not sure how different it would b with the TDi, but with the TSi, the air intake is behind the grille, above the radiator.
  19. Given @MICKSVRS has a liftback like mine, I'd say he got the same Eibach Pro-kit springs as the ones I got for mine. 20mm drop all round. DCC shocks, non-Sportline. AWD 280/272 models have a different part number. Likewise wagons have a different part number. Mine is a 220 2.0 TSi. I have 15mm spacers on the front and 10mm spacers on the rear, but I'm also running wider 245/40R19 tyres.
  20. Part number of the bracket I got is 3G0907538. AU $25.95 6%OFF | For VW Passat B8 TPMS Sensors Holders Support Bracket 3G0907538 3G0 907 538 https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOSKJQn
  21. The outer stripes r a seperate item again to the outer light. So if u don't want the stripe, get the light cluster on its own. If u buy a used one with it already, it shouldn't b too difficult to remove as it's just adhesive.
  22. the chrome/black strip r a separate piece, and is part of the boot handle/RVC/number-plate lights trim. looks like this.....
  23. i don't know wat codings and adaptations r "correct" for ur specific car. it depends on wat was fitted/specc'ed. i can't tell u that. u need to use something like Skoda Erwin to get specifics. u asked what the coding was for headlights, in ur case 55-headlight range control - i shared wat i know. from MY17, 09-central electrics doesn't have any long coding anymore, just adaptations, and there is almost 2000 lines of adaptations just in that module. codings/adaptations/blockmaps will change between RHD and LHD cars. it will change based on equipment fitted. so simply copying and pasting long codes and adaptations is not a wise move as u risk messing things up.
  24. my original battery (Banner EFB 69Ah 360A) was replaced under the 5-year manufacturer warranty, for free. car is MY17, and it was replaced last year when i had the 3 yr 60,000 kms service done. new battery they put is an Exide 70Ah 420A EFB+
  25. appears u have an MY16 Superb. from MY17 onwards, 55-headlight range control module no longer exists and this function/control was moved to 4B Multifunction Module. given ur model, below is the coding i'm aware of, that was used in an MY15 Superb for its 55-headlight and its sub-modules. ur output/scan dump above has too much crap/noise in it to properly see/find what is going on. but from wat i could spot:- reference coding (below) :- 06DA00003F010000 your coding: 06D202003F010000 reference slave coding (left): B20000 your slave coding: unknown reference slave coding (right): B20000 your slave coding: unknown *********************************************************************** Address 55: Headlight Range (J745) Labels: 7P6-907-357.clb Part No SW: 7P6 907 357 D HW: 7P6 907 357 A Component: AFS-ECU H07 0090 Revision: -------- Serial number: -------------- Coding: 06D202003F010000 Shop #: WSC 73430 790 00063 ASAM Dataset: EV_HeadlRegulVWAFSMQB 001120 ROD: EV_HeadlRegulVWAFSMQB.rod VCID: 40888C4BDB872242FC-8014 Left Headlamp Power Output Stage: Subsystem 1 - Part No SW: 8U0 941 329 HW: 8U0 941 329 Labels: 3D0-941-329.CLB Component: LeiMo links H01 0006 Coding: B20000 Right Headlamp Power Output Stage: Subsystem 2 - Part No SW: 8U0 941 329 HW: 8U0 941 329 Labels: 3D0-941-329.CLB Component: LeiMo rechts H01 0006 Coding: B20000 ***********************************************************************
