  1. Recirc valve is connected to the air filter housing/intake so simply follow the pipe back to it.
  2. Is it possible that the TPMS has battery issues causing the warning light?
  3. Not probably, definitely, that engine won't make any more power so no point at all in remapping.
  4. As @Paws4Thot says the standard air filter is not restrictive at all, it's the same air filter assembly fitted to the 100 bhp variant and you need good filtration in dusty Greek rallying conditions and since the standard filter is inside the engine cover just leave them both alone. Spend any money on safety, brakes and handling, you can fit the 288mm front brakes and struts from a VRS, get the FARB as well for a useful upgrade, it's stiffer than yours.
  5. It sounds like the clutch packs are worn out rather than a service issue.
  6. No, you can't code a switch, it's a simple electro-mechanical part, perhaps you mean the new key has to be coded?
  7. No, gap does not affect timing, gap is set to suit the energy output of the ignition system, a higher energy system can spark across a larger gap.
  8. Yes, from the engine, whatever that is!
  9. Any rental company will always charge for damage incurred whilst the hired item is in the exclusive care of the hirer, the logic is simple; it's not the hire companies fault, therefore it's yours. That's what the small print is for, you can't win so just pay up and hire a much newer vehicle from a more reputable company next time.
  10. I must admit I keep my dimmer turned down to minimum so my night vision will be at its keenest, there's not much information I'd deem essential other than an occasional glance at the Speedo to see how badly I'm exceeding the prevailing speed limit.
  11. Looks ok, clean it to get rid of the oil and grease.
  12. Don't waste your time and money changing the fuel filter, unless you are having specific symptoms of fuel starvation then leave well alone, old filters filter BETTER than new ones!
  13. You can't remove it without cutting off the crimped ferrule completely, however you'll probably damage the hose doing that so it's a no-go really, just buy another one secondhand and replace the whole thing.
  14. Wow, who knew you had to change the flywheel on a twin clutch DSG gearbox.
  15. No, it has dual clutches and is completely different.
  16. Forget the injectors, they're fine. You have a leak on the inlet side, check the vacuum line from the brake servo first, then look at the PCV and make sure it isn't blocked.
  17. You don't need to remove the outer handle or the lock to repair the window regulator. Can you remove the inner handle and pull the cable manually?
  18. What code are you using for the recode?
  19. It's a soft coding issue, you need to recode 16524 to reflect the actual configuration of your car.
  20. No, because it's not a DPF...
  21. I have the same issue with my 2.0, I think vibration has fractured a heater element wire somewhere very inaccessible, it's on the hit list but keeps slipping down the list of priorities since it needs to have the inlet plenum removed for access.
  22. You can probably get a Vibra Technics mount that will fit ok.
  23. It won't affect spool because it's turbodiesel with a VNT, spool is controlled by the ECU, it doesn't work like a petrol turbo at all so the usual tuning guff doesn't do anything at all.
  24. It'll bolt straight on and do bugger all, I literally have no idea why you're even bothering.
