  1. No coding but you need to reset the lash, how do you know it needs replacing?
  2. Yes. It's not confusing, it's you.
  3. Turbo failure for certain, take off the TIP and use your phone to take a photo of the impeller.
  4. Do the compression test ASAP please, all this speculation is pointless.
  5. What engine, why so secret?
  6. That'll do, Pagid are an OEM so you'll be just fine.
  7. They don't throw rods unless moronic babies over-rev them on down changes trying to drive like racing drivers. The 1.9 PD engine is the most reliable VW engine I know of but it's sensitive to oil changes, if the wrong oil is used or service intervals are skipped then top end damage will follow.
  8. They can't, the intercooler traps bits from the cold side and the exhaust cat traps bits from the hot side. No prayers needed.
  9. No I don't, I think you need a new clutch. I believe that the 1.6 TDI has a DMF btw, not what you wanted to hear but happy Christmas anyway!
  10. 3. Yes it would, it would be like a white dwarf, still very hot indeed!
  11. It won't be the master cylinder so you'll be wasting that money!
  12. Why are you asking us instead of the guy who's gonna do the work?
  13. All these parts are being replaced so why does it matter how badly the old CHRA is damaged or what's missing? Just rebuild the turbo, refit it and the engine should start boosting again.
  14. Why are you laughing out loud? Do you need help or not?
  15. At 100k I'd get the clutch and slave done, they're worn out.
  16. I recommend Eibach springs, the quality is excellent and they make set suitable for your car.
  17. There's no way you can get to 140 without a huge suite of bespoke and expensive mods; full exhaust, intake, cams, ECU, the whole nine yards. A hundred bhp per litre is not as straightforward as others would have you believe. You definitely have an air leak somewhere, probably the brake servo vacuum line.
  18. No, your clutch is dragging but it's still ****ed.
  19. It's unlikely to make any difference but can't do any harm bleeding the clutch line. It does sound like your clutch is dragging, is the bite point very low?
  20. I don't think they're wired at all, if you look at the empty fuseholder at the top of the last column, it's fully wired with a pair of contacts so a fuse will bridge those contacts, the two you've circled don't have any contacts at all.
  21. Yeah, no-one is buying that one either. It's just a metallic blue VRS with fancy seats.
