  1. In fact, had another email from Racechip about a code for 25% off...can DM you the code if you wannnnnnt?
  2. DNFs are all Gen4/Evo4 engines 🫡 Yep @leolito it would be criminal not to.
  3. Just to update this thread for what I’ve found. Essentially all the DNF engines are identical: DNFB 310ps (Audi S3 8Y, Cupra Formentor) DNFC 300ps (Golf 8 GTI Clubsport, Audi SQ2, T-Roc R) DNFD 320ps (Audi TTS) DNFE 280ps (Skoda Superb 4x4, Arteon, Passat) DNFF 333ps (Golf R 333) DNFG 320ps (Golf 8 R, Arteon R, Tiguan R) The hardware is all the same, it is just the map which is different (technically they have different SIMOS 19 ECUs). This means that tuners are remapping all of them to the same level because the map is applicable to all. So whereas most places advertise the “Superb 280” as all the same (even though 2 different Gen engines across 3 different engine codes), you can skip the confusion and go for e.g Golf 8 options. RacingLine remap is the same and confirmed this; since then I can see APR say the same. There are however a few minor differences - for example, I have found that the exhaust resonator is there on some, but not others. It’s not there on the Superb so no resonator delete option!
  4. Hey. I didn’t use them in the end. They didn’t reply until after I’d sorted myself out and decided I was going to flash it myself (which has worked out well). However, looking back @AlistairCookie was booked in so should be well placed to give feedback!
  5. Mine’s ever so slightly left. Barely noticeable but now I know it’s there, it’s definitely there.
  6. Always disappointing when it looks bad up close. Looking at a good few hundred to have someone clean, decontaminate, correct and protect the paint. Should be a ballpark figure for it. Anyway, don’t let that take the shine off the experience (pardon the pun). Going to test drive a Mk4 for comparison?
  7. Welcome Paul - very generous. Hope it serves well!
  8. Welcome - nice car, nice colour. Further SW compared to you but London’s London. Should be good for packing the bikes and beers in too.
  9. Welcome. High Peak as in out Hayfield/Kinder direction?
  10. Possibly look at Kia Sportage for that too - same car basically, doing their version of Skoda within VW. I had a 2018 one; 1.6T DSG AWD. Ran ok, but the DSG (dry clutch) is advised not to crawl in traffic with, as it can overheat(?!?!?)...and was also jerky as hell if you were crawling - clutch was in or out; not slipping nicely like the VW DSG. Maybe don't look at a Sportage...but I imagine the Tucson might suffer from the same mechanical nuances
  11. Tried both files for my 2021 Mib3FL. Both seemed to say they were successful but Radio Database in Settings is stated as 1.31.50 which is the earlier file. So NonGP applies to me whatever it is. Same result as earlier here - some may have been updated, but not obvious as the ones I tend to use haven’t been. Trying through the Skoda portal now seeing as that seems to be a different file and is taking an age to extract to my USB stick.
  12. Mine turned up this week. Fit really well. Bottom line goes in, little screwdriver to lift the carpet around the top edge and they slip on really snugly.
  13. Agree that if the noise is grinding then something is happening that shouldn’t be.
  14. Ironically some companies do a rear wiper delete kit. Ventilated seats are awesome in the summer. Also, the 2.0 DNFE engine is a bit special
  15. I think that might be just the way the gearbox behaves. Try knocking it into sport and see it react a lot quicker. I tend to do this when coming to junctions if I may not come to a complete stop so I can move off quickly
  16. Lovely pic. Wish I’d done that first. That’s 5Q0198037A so you want PFF85-830R
  17. Oh yes - guess that is the way of aero ——> economical. What’s the colour Lee? Looks a flat dark blue. Bit of green in there too 👌🏼
  18. @defsix Extract from VCDS FL thread: 23.03.20 ok, Fogs added, headlights didn't gone *** Set Fogs Lights as Coming/Leaving Home Lights 09 Central Electrics Access Code 31347 Adaptation -> Aussenlicht_uebergreifend ---> Coming home Leuchten: Low beam -> Fog light ---> Coming-home Einschaltereignis: driver door -> ignition Extract from pre-FL thread - seems to address the Xenon’s being on still…but I’m sure I did everything and the headlights flashed on once. “If after changing the coding the xenon’s still light up you will need to code the following: Leuchte6ABL BC5 (dipped beam left) Light function C 6 Set On “Coming home or leaving home active" set Dimming value CD 6 Set to "0" Dimming direction CD 6 Set to "minimize" Leuchte7ABL RB1 (dipped beam right) Light function C7 Set on “Coming Home Leaving Home or active” (Auf "Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv" setzen) Dimming value CD 7 Set to "0" Dimming direction CD 7 Set to "minimize" “
  19. I did it - it worked as the fog lights but the headlights would strobe once on at the same time; which worried me it was not good for it and also irritatingly not right, so reverted back to normal.
  20. Oddly DFHA isn’t listed on the picture (which comes from the Powerflex website as it goes) but DDAA and DFCA are both related engines and seem to be listed under both A and B parts 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’d give your dealer a shout and ask with your VIN and ask which part number is listed just to be sure. If it’s 5Q0198037A then you want Powerflex PFF85-830R If it’s 5Q0198037B or F then you want Powerflex PFF85-832R
  21. Sounds like a great Mk3 if it has massage seats in. Otherwise pretty much all the toys is there for you. Interesting that it looks like Vegas but have been filled in a bit? Like aero-covers in the wheel?
  22. Personally: Mk3. The interior isn’t dated, so as new as the mk4 is, it’s a solution looking for a problem. Mk4 driver aids: The 3 already has self park, blind spot, ACC, lane assist, fatigue detection and brake assist for parking. Not a bad list. What does the mk4 have in addition out of interest? Also plenty of stuff has been tried and tested on the 3 so you can solve/improve all sorts. I am, however, woefully unindependent in my opinion…
  23. Hey. I’ve been through an interesting time with dogbone mount inserts. Most importantly see here as this will determine which original part you have: Here The part numbers are all the same, but the letter at the end is different depending on your engine code. Basically, it’s A or F, but B looks the same as F I think. But either way the Powerflex part number either ends 830 or 832 depending on your original part. What model/year/engine do you have? Oh and you definitely want red. They do 4 colours in increasing hardness: Red, yellow, purple, black. Red is for diesels, yellow for petrol (purple for tuned petrols, black for track). I have yellow and you can tell it’s there but more in the cold. Most noticeable is on startup. Otherwise it works well.
  24. Yep ok to do with pre-facelift - see the VCDS thread
