Tips for fitting black badge.
I haven’t taken a roundel off but yeah I’d use that method…although by the look of Martini’s post on your original thread, there are also prongs on the back of the badge so just be aware you won’t be able to go all the way across the back

Paint touch up
If you look at YouTube videos of repainting, sanding you’ll see they paint on, then rub it down, then more, then rub down. It takes a bit of time and patience. It’s never a case of dabbing paint on and looking even passable!

Tips for fitting black badge.
The wipe will be to clean the surface and make sure there are no oils on the paint. You could also use “panel wipe” products from valet-product companies or Iso-Propyl Alcohol (usually 50/50 dilution with water). That’s the prep before using the adhesive to stick the badge on. Getting rid of old adhesive: you can buy ‘tar and glue remover’ products (Carpro TarX). Spray on, let dwell/sit, agitate gently with a clean microfibre cloth. Careful as they’ll be solvent-based; some can contain toluene or xylene which aren’t designed to be lung-friendly. Other options would be a bit of t-cut as that has Naphthalene in which is a pretty decent solvent too.

Should I buy
Good shout. If your life doesn’t depend on it then wait for the right car.

Should I buy
They’re “Aero-Vega’s”. Fella who was debating the mk3 v mk4 had them on the L&K that he bought. On a side note I’m mildly triggered about having to falsely apostrophise Vega’s as in plural of Vega and distinguish it from Las Vegas.

England-wide Meet and Drive!
I’ve ridden up box hill plenty on the bike. They resurfaced it for the 2012 Olympic road race so it’s a beauty of a road surface but yeah there are a couple of humps. No barriers though. When you get to the top and carry on through the village it’s back to a ploughed minefield of a road surface.

England-wide Meet and Drive!
Yeah the latter - on the A25 heading towards Oxted. That’s a real shame.

England-wide Meet and Drive!
Last time I’ve been past the Grasshopper it was either defunct or closed for renovation. Internet search doesn’t look too good but not much in the last couple of years.

England-wide Meet and Drive!
Mate. I drafted a reply and got distracted. Yeah I’d be up for something. Used to do some decent BMW meets yonks ago; meet at the Grasshopper in Westerham (classic for car meets; my Dad said that had been going on for decades) and then sit down and have some grub. Def different vibe to burnouts in an MFI car park!

Load opening also I guess. The hatch is awesome but you’ve still got to lift the dead bodies over the boot lip

Should I buy
The estate is 660litres but the hatchback is a cavernous 625 litres and the seats all go down in the same way

Should I buy
This one for far less miles and a much better fuel… Lovely

@JR RS can help with that too - the middle resonator removal (after the cats) has the highest risk of drone but there is a guy (in Norfolk I think) who fabricates them with a Hemholtz tube so there's no drone. Not sure on Octavia but Cupra Formentor exhaust parts have been used on Superb with success which could be an option.

What have you done to your Superb III today?

Summer wheels back on. With Forge 11mm hubcentric spacers all round so it doesn’t look quite like a fat guy with tiny feet. Uploading pics from iPhone seems to flip them upside down. I turned the pictures upside down in my photo album thinking I’d play the system…and it uploads as is, still upside down 🤯

It's neither a goodbye nor a hello!
It’s a fair point - mine were wearing thinner than the fronts. Always a possibility the pedal movement is driver reassurance

Black badging?
It’s a no brainer! Race blue version so it looks hollow and matches your car perfectly.
