1.4 TSI (150bhp) Modifications / Improvements
Depends which aspect of performance you wanted. Better go usually means better stopping is advisable so you could get some better discs and pads; not necessarily bigger but drilled/grooved will stop heat fade so much; ceramic pads are lower dust as well as better performing over original. And braided brake hoses will stop any loss of brake fluid pressure albeit under relatively heavier/more sustained braking. Rear anti-roll bar is useful to keep the rear from rolling if you’re going round some bends enthusiastically. Otherwise, depends on budget and what you want - drop in a v8 lump? 😬

Passenger side wing mirror not auto dimming.
Dimming or dipping? My passenger-side should auto-dip and it’s stopped doing it. Needs a reset or something but can’t remember what I need to do

The 280PS Thread
Ouch - but that’s the point of sleepers I suppose. Diesel remaps can achieve mountains of torque and you don’t need to change down to press on.

Help understanding the mk3.5 facelift
Lots of things changed with the facelift. Main cosmetic ones to quickly identify I’d say would be Front lights/bumper changed, rear lights updated with chrome strip across the boot lid. Changed from emblem to SKODA letters across the rear. As for digital dash, it went from option to standard in some models - pretty sure it’s standard in facelift L&K but seems to have been an option pre-facelift. Same with 280 sportline plus - was sure I’d seen some with and without but not sure on whether it changed as part of the facelift.

Dtuk Vs dte pedal box.
@Itsrelfy I second this. Have had it since Nov 22 and absolutely no problems whatsoever.

Traffic Sign Recognition
In which case there is this…but…I’m not sure it works with facelift or whether you can perform it with OBD11: Traffic sign with VCDS

Maxton Design rear valance v2 fitted

Paint touch up
I thought it had been agreed that it could only be ascertained by pictures? None were provided so the conclusion that anyone is right or wrong? 🤷🏻♂️

Traffic Sign Recognition
Definitely 2013? As in Mk2? If so, that’s a different forum and might get more experienced owners there…

Maxton Design rear valance v2 fitted
Looks great - turns out I’ve got the dropping tow bar, so if I’m right I can’t have this as my current rear valance has a hole for the tow bar to drop out?

Insurance
Are you shopping around and moving? Or staying with the same?

Dtuk Vs dte pedal box.
I thought it was the same. I googled - DTE manufactures them, DTUK sells them in UK basically as a distributor. I don’t think it’s because DTE choose not to, it’s probably they reduce costs by bulk shipping Business 2 Business to DTUK rather than individual sales to UK customers. There is a £135 point where duty becomes payable on inports; but I can’t remember the stipulations. Superskoda stopped selling to UK over that amount I think but can’t remember if that’s still the case. But basically; the same product. There are plenty of alternatives to keep an eye out for. Racechip do deals now and again so the others must do as well.

Brake noise Skoda superb sportline 150bhp 2017
Welcome. It was just a bit of thinking. Mine were starting to get low at the rear before the front and seemed like a rumbling under braking. Glad it’s sorted though 👍

Superb Sat Nav Problem
Although you can update your MIB software from 324 to 332, this sounds like a very old map update. You can find the updated maps either Here or you can go to the Skoda Update portal and download them there after putting in your VIN. You’ll need a 64Gb drive as the latest are 29Gb so a 32Gb card is cutting it fine.

The 280PS Thread
I’d def avoid runflats just because I’ve never heard anyone ever say anything good about them. Otherwise, you’re likely to get a mix of opinions across pretty much every brand. There’s the old adage: “Quick, Cheap, Good - pick 2.” Probably a bit like that but with: grippy, economical, quiet. (Removing price from the equation). Speed rating can also effect structure like load rating having a knock-on effect on sound and price.

Paint Correction and Ceramic. Less than 1 year old.
Never ceases to amaze me how properly corrected paint has such a deep colour. Spot on.

Windscreen scratches
Ceri pro does get good reviews. Seems to be one of only a few products that have cerium oxide. @numskull bought some cerium oxide alone, made a paste with some water and had good results. Not sure if this was just for contaminants or smoothing out scratches as well. Edit - scratches too 👍🏼

DTUK peddle box
3G746EJY Give that a try if you wanted to price it up fir the GTR5

DTUK peddle box
Nuts that they won’t entertain any queries - as if customers won’t sell their stuff on 🤷🏻♂️ For me, Donald Duck them and buy from a competitor anyway. Racechip have 25% off code that runs out today if you want it.

DTUK peddle box
Doubt it would be that transferable but it’s only effectively a signal amplifier so perhaps the amplification setup is the same and they’re very transferable etc Only way to be sure would be to email them and ask 👍🏼

Help buying used Superb
This one? Autotrader ad Apart from saying "low mileage" when autotrader states its 3.5k above average, and saying it has 2 owners rather than 1 (who hasn't necessarily looked after it if it has a few dents and alloy scuffs) it looks ok. For £500 less there's this one with 24,000 miles on it. That's probably because its in the corner of the planet and looks like it could do with a good clean. MOT runs to the end of the year too. Its also a hatchback compare to your ad which is an estate but there is very little difference in boot size. The hatchback has 625 litres compared to the estate's 660 litres. Put the seats down and you get to take advantage of the roofline/rear screen so gain an extra 200 litres but for me the hatch is an ample car for 2 kids and various long weekends away. Other than that they disclose the rear bumper issue and it needing a service. I'd plan to look at the latter. Get it to a decent detailer and spend a couple of hundred quid and it'll look spotless inside as well as properly cleaned outside. 35,000 miles is a pretty decent gap.
- Help required to correctly identify the paint on my car please?

Black badging?

Paint touch up
It’s all good. Having a backup plan in taking to a bodyshop at least gives you the opportunity to try 👍🏼
