  1. The rear dual rear fogs require to to select the lamp type as well remember. Something the guide doesn’t mention. The type will depend on whether it’s LED or halogen fitted.
  2. Overheads. There is no mystery here.

First ground up electric car? I’ll shoe horn my point in here somehow

My interpretation was this is the founding (first) electric Skoda.
  5. Ive accidentally got in on my handbrake after applying to tyres. It’s very slippy. I’d think you’d be holding on for dear life if you used it on the seats?
  6. Your £230 for oil etc can be explained as £179 + £59 for ‘expanded scope’. That’s your ~£230. DSG, yeah can’t explain that one. Sounds like **** poor communication all round though. Not sure you’ll get anywhere trying to force them to ‘sell’ at a displayed price. In the same way if you saw a car of theirs priced at £1,995 because the leading 1 had fallen off the price plate. For the record I’m not trying to defend them. Just playing devils advocate and trying to ascertain what’s happened.

I’m not sure that’s a deal breaker to the type of person buying this. My - sweeping - assumption is that the type of person who’d be interested in a vehicle like this is your early adopter type. Factory satnav won’t be of interest if it’s possible to plug (or wirelessly connect) your smartphone and utilise its navigation. Ive never used the factory nav in my Mk3 Octavia. It’s crap and requires me to keep it updated. Why would I bother when another party provides a better product?
  8. Oil and Inspection = £179 DSG Oil Change = £199 Total = £378 Thats using the prices in that link and doesn’t include the rear brake change. Unless I’m missing something, how are they mis-quoting?
  9. Or wait until it returns as part of the facelift.
  10. Those standard 18” wheels on the German specs are terrible. Although I don’t think much of the weird Xtreme morphed 19”s either.
  11. Poke something through it to clear it out.
  12. It’s for drainage. As far as I know.
  13. I seem to recall that the top three ‘elements’ are not part of the rear window demister. They’re radio antenna.

I’m confused as to how we got to borderline uploading PDFs of our wage slips in here.

I actually quite like this. My preference would still be something like a traditional saloon as an EV. Like the Tesla S and 3. But affordable for me haha.
  16. Pumps crap artificial engine sounds into the cabin.
  17. You’re really not missing anything.
  18. 2004 is when I learned to drive (and passed). I was always told to leave the car in gear when parked and I always do to this day.
  19. Mmm, they’re just an assist feature. Not to replace all driver input. Apologies, not offering any info to your original question again.
  20. You’re advised to leave your car in gear when parking anyway, as a belt and braces approach. It has been reported On here before but I was never convinced there was actually an issue, other than people just not properly applying the hand brake. Something I have also been guilty of in the past however it’s happened when I was getting out the car plus it was in gear so no harm done.
  21. I think the above solution is best. Having the lights turn on any earlier (darker) is going to have them pinging on and off as you go under trees or pass high sided vehicles in their shadow.
  22. They did indeed. Quite rare though.
  23. In the Octavia, you can change the wipers from automatic to manual in the Car menu of the infotainment. You then use the sensitivity rocker switch to adjust the frequency of the manual wipes. I’d suspect the Superb is the same.
  24. They’re the same as yours, the Xtremes but refurbed all anthracite with no machine cut finishing.
  25. Thanks. The black Xtremes are what I am interested in, so I’ll not take up any more of your time 🙂 Might be worth trying them for a bit yourself, see how you get on with them?
