  1. There is an enormous amount of discussion on here regarding cambelt changes on the 1.4Tsi. Nearly everywhere except this country does cambelt changes much later than 5 years as recommended by VW unless you do 140000km in 5 years.
  2. Doesn't sound like an accident to me, done to deceive prospective buyer if done by dealer. If done by the the previous owner, to deceive the dealer.
  3. Did you buy her from a dealer? If so, did they do a service that hasn't been recorded on the system but did reset the service interval?
  4. I'm told it's quite nice, but the house prices go up 50% as you cross the county boundary to Leicestershire.
  5. Hope you don't live in Market Harborough as the radio reception on a Citigo there is pants.
  6. The problem is that the map version may be quite old and no new version is available.
  7. If it has the plate, the PID will connect. There is a different dash without the plate on cars without the connectivity on some cars that were sold outside the UK. If you get a new one I don't know what maps it will have as Garmin no longer support it.
  8. Many thanks. Torsion beam, so the job is just the same as my previous Fabia MK3 Combi.
  9. Is this just a matter of:- 1) Jack up car 2) Remove wheel 3) Undo bottom shock absorber bolt 4) Push down on axle and remove spring. 5) Remove rubber bushes from spring and put in new spring 6) Insert new spring 7) Put shocker bolt back in 😎 Wheel back on 9) Jack down
  10. Guess what I'm about to buy. Cheers Carlston. I presume fitting is jack up the wheel, wheel off, undo the bottom shocker bolt, take out the old spring and put the new one in and refit the bolt in the shocker. As per Fabia Mk 3 etc.
  11. I only use the handbrake when parked away from the house. Pull up on the drive, handbrake on, engine off, into 1st, then handbrake off. I do have the advantage of a flat drive. Sticky rear drum brakes have been happening as far back as I can remember if parked up after getting them wet. The best one was when I came back from a 2 week holiday abroad to find my Passat locked up solid after parking up in a very wet car park, wheels off and a large mallet sorted the matter.
  12. Looks nice, welcome back to the fold.
  13. I changed my own battery then took it to my local independent for coding, who struggled to start with but after advice from on here, he sorted it.
  14. Might be worth a look at this, rocket science it isn't but how on earth did he manage to get all the error codes?
  15. This is mine, 2016. It would appear that the correct part no for a 2013 car is 5E9 867 871A 9ET. Whether there is any/much difference between the 2 versions I am afraid I don't know. If you live anywhere near me you can come and check whether the later one fits.
  16. I've got a 14 plate 60 Greenline which I fitted cross climates to at 8500, done another 10k since and can't fault them in summer or winter, though not a lot of snow. 175/65-14 on standard steels. Plenty of rubber on them still.

  18. What size wheels and tyres are fitted? Lower profile ones can make the ride less comfortable.
  19. Cook the condensation off with a hair dryer. Don't go mad with it as you can melt the headlight.
  20. The water pump does not need to be done the same time as the cambelt, it's run by a different belt. Also I would think twice about doing the cambelt at 50k, the Citigo has the same engine. Have a look at this
  21. The variable floor can be removed, I did so to fit my dog crate as otherwise I could not pull the cover shut.
  22. worth a read https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/can-the-522gw-be-powered-by-usb.44877/
