I have heard from my lawyers with a pay out figure due within 8 weeks. One is not permitted to say how much is being paid; but the BBC tells us that VW group are paying out £193 million to 90,000 claimants. Deduct costs (at no more than 30%) and the calculation is done! To say I'm amazed is an understatement...

You could reset it yourself; but only to zero!
  3. None of them as far as I can tell; but a flashing glow plug warning light might well do. Did on my 2011 170 diesel (however it is uprated and had done 90k miles).
  4. I have some knowledge of that ~ I will find out what was used by my mechanic and post the brand name here.
  5. Yes. It is probably necessary to clean your DPF. Can be done with a special product ~ cheap. Or cleaned out by a dealer ~ possibly expensive! Good luck whatever...
  6. A flashing glow plug warning light is a sign of an engine management fault. Any dealer/VCDS user should be able to help. Good luck.
  7. If I press the recirc button when when recirc on on it changes recirc to automatic air distribution and then if I press it again it turns off. I thought all Yetis with Climatronic automatic air conditioning did this?
  8. Not in either of my Yetis...
  9. Both my Yetis are changed via the MFD between the dashboard dials. When stationary, select MFD, Settings, Service, Reset. Will take a few days and/or a bit of driving to revert to "fixed" time and distance. Good luck.
  10. Yes, happened to me on my 2011 Yeti. I have not bothered to replace it... But I am most grateful to Urrell for the youtu.be link should I ever do so.
  11. Wow! Hehe.
  12. It doesn't matter as the two support slots are on immovable C-pillar parts.
  13. Check your coolant level carefully...
  14. Might be fans running to cool after switching off midway through regen?
  15. Well it looks like mine was a real bargain *for a ******* change!) Extract from recent invoice: CAMBELT KIT with water pump 116.76 1.00 116.76 116.76 LABOUR FOR FITTING THE ABOVE PARTS AS REQUIRED 47.50 2.60 47.50 123.50 plus 20% VAT of course.

  17. That'd be me then.
  18. Yeah, fridges are cool.
  19. If only it were that easy... ooh! it is.
  20. There is a method of opening the rear door from inside the car should it prove necessary. Details will be in the manual. (I say that as I have had to try it out!)

This is the method recommended in the handbook, iirc?

Don't worry about only doing 12k miles in a 170 diesel with "an upgrade". I have one, and they are bullet proof. The 170 already has 312mm brake discs at the front. Any upgrade is good but not totally necessary for stopping power "on or off road". Just my two-penn'orth. Hope it helps?

Synchronise the key as follows. › Press any button on the remote control key. › Unlock the door with the key in the lock cylinder within 1 minute of pressing the button. Hope that works for you?
