  1. For a bit more info look HERE for the parts catalogue page for a 2013 Fabia rear bumper.
  2. Bumper, light and rear door will all be available, either as new in primer or perhaps used from a breaker. The expensive bit to replace would be the rear wing where the filler cap resides as it's part of the main body shell. That said, a good body shop can work wonders with pullers and should be able to straighten the panel.
  3. It sounds as though something may be arcing slightly which can develop into a fire very easily. Strongly recommend you either investigate yourself or get it checked. We lost a Peugeot 406 to a silent short behind the dash.
  4. Other candidates: - wiring loom from drivers' A pillar to drivers' door. Known for failed insulation, broken wires. Controls both sides of vehicle but separately. - as @Stonekeeper said above check earthing points but also around the passenger doors - check your left hand lights work - tail, indicators, front, headlamp.
  5. I can't help you with specifics for Yetis but the parts catalogue page for the front bumper may help - HERE. From tackling this on an Octavia Scout you may be able to get in removing the air dam and having long arms
  6. Wagons' Leap (M6 Thelwall Viaduct northbound) is now clear. I was past there this afternoon and there were no lane closures or holdups. I gather the wagon driver (pilot?) is OK apart from some cuts & bruises but I wonder if the rescue services are looking for his parachute? Oh and avoid the M6 J28-J31 anywhere near rush hour - unless you like studying grass growing on the embankments, that is.
  7. I'll be about The Wirral tomorrow so wave as you go past
  8. I've had a close look at the parts catalogue entry for a 2010 Octy 1Z HERE but cannot see a separate sounder unit. The page for the control unit is HERE, and a list of vehicles to which it was fitted is on the "Part fitment" tab (makes it easier when hunting for a used one). I'm assuming you don't want to buy a new one at nearly 400 squid!
  9. More to the point, what proof or what "recreational" content was in those chocolates? 🥴 😁
  10. The parts catalogue page for a 2011 Fabia front suspension reinforced springs is HERE. You'll need to know the PR code from your car's data sticker to work out which spring is correct.
  11. There's an almost new roll recently listed on Facebook Marketplace and loads available on aliexpress.com.
  12. It looks like you're need items 4, 5 & 15 HERE, the parts catalogue for a 2014 China-build Fabia.
  13. I recall @KenONeill having strongly expressed views some years back on not using pattern thermostats. Don't know if that situation is still true?
  14. You can get some ideas as to market values via the free valuations from Parkers and Autotrader. Free car valuations, used car prices, how much is my car worth? | Parkers Free Car Valuation – How much is my car worth? – Auto Trader UK
  15. Less than a fiver from aliexpress: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007495098631.html
  16. "Enjoying" the weather in Ulverston, I see Some years back there was (and maybe still is) a superb seafood restaurant right on the coast on the eastern side near Ulverston. If I can recall the name or look it up I'll post it. Found it: https://thebayhorsehotel.co.uk/
  17. A further point - the classic way to first check for a worn wheel bearing was to try to rock the wheel whilst the car is standing in neutral with the handbrake off. That doesn't work any more 😞
  18. To help clarify what is being discussed here is a piccy of the parts catalogue for a 2012 Yeti (as an example). The cover plate that rots and rattles is item 6.
  19. Have you checked for air in your cooling system?
  20. Where was the baby?
  21. Just in case it's not obvious, the whining noise will be from the motor on the hydraulic pump (item 1) and not the sensor.
  22. I can't speak from direct experience of an electronic steering setup but in general terms when a motor is used to move something (i.e. your steering rack) there will need to be some means of limiting the movement at the limits of travel. It could be a mechanical stop but is more likely in this case to be some form of sensor to signal to the car controller that the steering has reached the limit of turn. If said sensor is either not functioning or is functioning incorrectly it may not be accurately showing the limit point, in which case the controller would still be applying power to the steering motor and trying to force it past the stop point. Practically speaking I would try to get a scan from your car and see if you're getting any (helpful) error messages. I suspect you could be looking at item 10 (swing angle sensor) on the parts diagram HERE.
