  1. One of our long-term members - @langers2k - may be able to help here.
  2. According to the parts catalogue the Octavia mk2 pre- and post-facelift rear door / luggage compartment cover (called a 'lid' in the catalogue) is the same. Note that this is the bare door; I haven't cross-checked the fittings but they're available via the same links. Octavia mk2 pre-facelift Czech manufacture 2007 combi/estate rear door HERE Octavia mk2 post-facelift Czech manufacture 2009 combi/estate rear door HERE You may already know this but older Octy2 'lids' often have bubbling rust issues across the bottom panel or around the number plate lights. If you do manage to find and swap doors please let us know.
  3. @J.R. is likely to be of assistance. He's another Yeti owner in France who understands engineering.
  4. I'm not sure how much CANBUS is involved with Octy 1 lighting but it would help if you could get a scan of errors to see if the brake light problem is down to a CANBUS error.
  5. Everything @Redboy suggests but also check the gear change has not seized up. That happened to our '07 1.9tdi Octy 2 after it had been laid up for a year after a cosmetic to the front wing. It took a degree of fettling (read lots of lube plus many hours exercising the gearchange) to free up properly. That said, it's been fine since after a little initial notchiness.
  6. My first thought would be worn piston rings. Have you noticed the exhaust smoking more than usual?
  7. According to the parts catalogue page for an '06 Octy mk2 HERE the standard combi/estate and saloon bumpers are not the same - different part numbers. What is not clear is how they differ, unfortunately. Note that there are also different bumpers for the RS & Scout variants. I have spare bumpers from an '07 combi which I can examine anon if that helps.
  8. For a bit more info look HERE for the parts catalogue page for a 2013 Fabia rear bumper.
  9. Bumper, light and rear door will all be available, either as new in primer or perhaps used from a breaker. The expensive bit to replace would be the rear wing where the filler cap resides as it's part of the main body shell. That said, a good body shop can work wonders with pullers and should be able to straighten the panel.
  10. It sounds as though something may be arcing slightly which can develop into a fire very easily. Strongly recommend you either investigate yourself or get it checked. We lost a Peugeot 406 to a silent short behind the dash.
  11. Other candidates: - wiring loom from drivers' A pillar to drivers' door. Known for failed insulation, broken wires. Controls both sides of vehicle but separately. - as @Stonekeeper said above check earthing points but also around the passenger doors - check your left hand lights work - tail, indicators, front, headlamp.
  12. I can't help you with specifics for Yetis but the parts catalogue page for the front bumper may help - HERE. From tackling this on an Octavia Scout you may be able to get in removing the air dam and having long arms
  13. Wagons' Leap (M6 Thelwall Viaduct northbound) is now clear. I was past there this afternoon and there were no lane closures or holdups. I gather the wagon driver (pilot?) is OK apart from some cuts & bruises but I wonder if the rescue services are looking for his parachute? Oh and avoid the M6 J28-J31 anywhere near rush hour - unless you like studying grass growing on the embankments, that is.
  14. I'll be about The Wirral tomorrow so wave as you go past
  15. I've had a close look at the parts catalogue entry for a 2010 Octy 1Z HERE but cannot see a separate sounder unit. The page for the control unit is HERE, and a list of vehicles to which it was fitted is on the "Part fitment" tab (makes it easier when hunting for a used one). I'm assuming you don't want to buy a new one at nearly 400 squid!
  16. More to the point, what proof or what "recreational" content was in those chocolates? 🥴 😁
  17. The parts catalogue page for a 2011 Fabia front suspension reinforced springs is HERE. You'll need to know the PR code from your car's data sticker to work out which spring is correct.
  18. There's an almost new roll recently listed on Facebook Marketplace and loads available on aliexpress.com.
  19. It looks like you're need items 4, 5 & 15 HERE, the parts catalogue for a 2014 China-build Fabia.
  20. I recall @KenONeill having strongly expressed views some years back on not using pattern thermostats. Don't know if that situation is still true?
  21. You can get some ideas as to market values via the free valuations from Parkers and Autotrader. Free car valuations, used car prices, how much is my car worth? | Parkers Free Car Valuation – How much is my car worth? – Auto Trader UK
  22. Less than a fiver from aliexpress: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007495098631.html
