  1. Long shot but have you checked the spare isn't rattling in its bay?
  2. One particular point with regards to item 4; the moulding nibs on a new tyre make a pattering to very light drumming noise, not a knocking noise. I'd have that carefully checked and not by the seller given the wool he seems to be trying to pull over your eyes.
  3. Wot he ^ said ...
  4. I'd check two things straight away. 1) battery, which may be getting old and not holding charge and 2) your alternator and regulator as your power (lights) shouldn't be flickering.
  5. The parts catalogue entry for your car HERE should help get you started.
  6. Also possibly a porous rim allowing gradual deflation around the tyre seal.
  7. I believe it's one of these: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/03d907601a-camshaft-speed-sensor-hella-44631.html
  8. Sorry about the intrusive banner line; go HERE for the full catalogue page.
  9. Just FYI Parkers said this: Private Price £2,445 - £3,525 Dealer Price £4,050 - £5,005 https://www.parkers.co.uk/skoda/octavia/vrs-2005/20-tdi-cr-vrs-hatchback-5d/96/free-valuation/
  10. Blame Google [tm] Lens[tm] if it ID'd the wrong car. It was an attempt at a humorous response but may have missed the mark 😞
  11. Mitsubishi Colt 1995-2003? Rare left hand drive sub-aqua model being tested for refloating on the UK market.
  12. Excellent link; many thanks!
  13. Is it possible the picture is showing the tyre tread becoming separated, just as retreads have been known to do?

  15. If your wheels are out of balance you will feel some vibration via the steering wheel. The degree and type of vibration will vary depending on road speed, road surface, how warm your tyres are etc. You should be able to isolate the conditions where vibration is sensed and it should be repeatable (i.e. similar road surfaces, road speed, weather conditions etc.) Whilst such checks are not definitive they can help identify repeatable conditions so you can describe the problem to an appropriate engineer.
  16. Thanks for that. I've ordered some and we'll see how they compare.
  17. Do you have details of the one that worked and any ideas why the one that didn't, didn't?
  18. The parts catalogue entry for an Octy 2 (2007) HID headlamp is HERE but it only shows one loom in the headlamp?
  19. Can't help you much with those, I'm afraid. There are loads of cheapo lightweight wheel trims on fleabay and amazon plus aliexpress and others if you don't mind waiting on delivery. One note for the lightweight plastic trims, however, be careful how you fit them as they can crack very easily (DAMHIK).
  20. Again a piccy would help. Are they alloys or steelies?
  21. Alloy wheel CEPEUS 17" pro OCTAVIA II Rim dimension: 7,0J x 17“ ET 54 Product code 1Z0071496 Color Silver Material Light alloy Rim dimension 7,0J x 17“ ET 54 Number of bolts 5 piece Tyres dimension 225/45 R17 Snow chains possibility No Weight 12 kg
  22. Hopefully (at least partly) at the cost of said Tesla driver?
  23. Are you getting any vibration through the steering wheel?
  24. The engine wiring catalogue entry for a 2010 Octavia with CEGA motor is HERE. I don't know what prices are like where you are but it might be worth looking to a breaker for a used part.
  25. So you're looking for an injector wiring harness? What engine code?
