Komiq spare wheel
Just try a wheel / tyre that is on the car in the spare tyre well that is being asked about. After all if the car has a puncture and tyre deflated or not deflated it needs to go someplace if the car and boot is full. Like into the Spare Tyre Well. Full sized Wheels / Tyres fit in Spare tyre wells of Fabia's. As they do in various models / generations. Sometimes the only issue the floor is sitting on top of the spare a few mm higher.

My 2023 MINI Cooper S Level 3 Electric leased from Motability which will be with me for 3 years & now a 2021 MG5 as a dog wagon.
@100% this morning. 18 degrees C. The difference of range that shows with AC off and then AC while sitting with the MID. Default mode. AC just gets put on if needed, but windows and sunroof open not needed. Nice breeze just now. Later when hot maybe yes AC on as not needing. To charge today, just staying local. PS and then 1 3 miles down hill. LP

the truth about electric cars
@Graham Butcher You do realise it is the car that can be set to 10 amp max. & that i am pulling your wire. So. That is fine then as not cheap but is imported. Not bought from a DIY Shed though. Who do i go to in the UK to buy one Made in Britain & where do i have to purchase it from and can i use your name and ask for a discount? British craftsmanship, & British Standards for British Use and Britain will be a safer place and we will be healthier wealthier and wise. God only knows how we manage to survive as long as we do with Imported cheap crap. Bloody killers selling their junk direct to your home. I will have Ronan Keating in my head all night now. If tomorrow never comes.

the truth about electric cars
Like i have. A suitable extension cable to take the electricity to outside to plug into. Getting plugged inside at Midnight to be sure to be sure of 100% in the morning. The 3 pin charging cable that came with the MINI stopped working last week so got swapped for one i have for taking in the car when away. The cars setting to start charging Off Peak or to be ready for departure or to precondition is unreliable. PS Poundland was sold for £1 last week. I must check out any clearances at stores that are closing and get a few extension cables, maybe some fire extinguishers as well.

replacing tyres/alloys for more comfort
@kannanni Who at a Dealership, parts, sales or a technician? EDIT, I see salesman. What does your Owners Manual show as the size of tyres suitable for use with Snow Chains? Skoda / VW will sell you wheels that are Type Approved and appropriate and the choice of others in other countries, & they might well be the RECOMMENDED SIZE IF USING SNOW CHAINS. Not a Modification using the correct sized Wheels & Tyres for Summer or Winter when they are appropriate to the vehicle. As far as the Insurers go and Brokers and some guff they spout, they need to be checking just what you are fitting and why and if a Factory or Dealer fit option. The person at the Dealership might want to check the sizes your vehicle can have fitted.

the truth about electric cars
@Graham Butcher Have you checked just what the kWh is actually used while getting the EV,s interior from lets say -5*oC to 15*oC and pre heating the battery, small car or bigger car?

@kannanni Welcome to the forum. I know you replicated your post, but did you actually try a just a simple search to see just how often the same or similar question has been asked just for the Karoq?

the truth about electric cars
@Graham Butcher 'A long one' Do you mean the length of the cable from socket to car? A 3 pin cable and set at 10 amp max is more than capable of preconditioning an EV.

Major Service
As far as Cambelts i would check the latest VW / Skoda recommendations, guidelines, advice or schedule for Australia and the particular engine. If considered a Dust Rich or non Dust Rich Region & if anything like the same regime as for Europe now, or different because of longer Warranty periods in Australia. (TSI different from a TDI as far as doing a water pump at the same time as a belt.) Which Wet Clutch DSG is it, is it a DQ381, if so i hope they are changing the filter and not just the oil. Check. $400 for spark plugs replaced at the time of a service, are they having a laugh and treating it as though a V8!

New Renault 5 EV
@wyx087 I am not buying one new, but it is nice to know how they are & maybe down the line when they are Cheap as chips i will. One with steel wheels. There is always going to be a model that a few years old proves to be good. Like the Oxford built MINI Electric. Now 2023 ones are @ asking prices £20,000 less than the RRP when new. £5-6,000 less asking prices than a Petrol one that was £5,000 cheaper when new. They (Stellantis / FIAT) surely must evolve and develop and not keep turning out crappy motors or ones with fundamental design, manufacturing or material faults. . They surely learn from VW Group failing to remember 'Vorsprung Durch Technik'.

Fabia mk 4 A/C not cold enough
@nta16 I wouldn't think a mirrored windscreen or front windows are legal in the UK as the driver / occupants can not be seen by Officers of the law. I was speaking rear of Rally Cars. The 70% of visible light (VLT) thing seems to be something that is not policed. There is no shortage of vehicles on the road with the 'Chameleon tint' windscreens though. No idea about the VLT and the fact the driver can not be seen from head on. There are Tinters / wrappers advertising Legal Chameleon tinting.

Fabia mk 4 A/C not cold enough
PS. Digital thermometer, no burning fingers checking discs temps. see if a calipers binding, or a bearing going. Wheel centre temp check. If getting a TPMS warning and pressures OK check the tyres temperature.

Fabia mk 4 A/C not cold enough
Tinted glass really does not keep the interior cooler. Dark roofs / cars attract heat. Hence White Roofs / Vehicles. Safari roofs on Land Rovers. Reflect the sun. Go to the 1/4 Mile track or racing and there is lots of heat in the engine compartment. Open the bonnet. If not opening the bonnet of a dark car and sun beating down it is much hotter under a dark bonnet. Rally cars had dark bonnets for anti glare. Night time. Fashion. Love an Escort or Alfa. Now Rally cars have Mirrored / reflective glass to reflect the sun, not tinted. .................... Digital Fridge Thermometers. About £1.99 each. You can measure oil temperature down the dipstick tube. Put in an Air Intake, or air cleaner box, near the battery in the engine compartment. Or relevant leave on the passengers seat, rear seats, next to the parking brake or whatever. See the cars interior temperature. Winter time check Ground Frost compared to Air Temperature, wing mirror or above.

Fabia mk 4 A/C not cold enough
You explained perfectly what you have. What you will get when 26*oC outside this week is the system in your car to bring it down to 16*oC inside. a 10*oC decrease. That is about it with Skoda. Your car is not faulty. Now at 32*oC or so temp it might really struggle. Let us know how it goes please. Maybe 18*oC or so but time will tell. ???? What is the lowest number the Climatic / AC can be set to is it 15, then next 'LOW.'? What temperature is LOW set to get to? Should have bought a Tesla. This is my MINI electric 22 degrees outside. Lowest setting is 16. AC blowing out 10 degrees C. Max AC turns of air intake to use inside air to lower and condition. Dry out. FASTER.

Fabia mk 4 A/C not cold enough
@Scorpiodan What actual temperature do you want the interior at, in the centre of the car or at the centre of seats, is it to be lower than exteriors temp of 12.5*oC. I think that is not really achievable. Do you really want to travel with the interior colder than that, or as low as 5.9 *oC? An ideal temperature for inside a household fridge is 3-5*oC. ? Is it not more important when say +20*oC out side and maybe near 30*oC inside that you can get the interior to a comfortable 15-16*oC? Even 14*oC if lucky.
