Intermittent shudder / misfire Fabia VRS MK2
Try a tank of Tesco Momentum 99. The Esso Synergy 99* does come from Greenergy in parts of the country, see that chart, Greenergy are the people also producing the Tesco Momentum 99 as well and part owned by Tesco and import the fuels along with Royal Dutch Shell but there are difference. I liked the Ethanol. The Super Unleaded like the unleaded is winter spec until the end of March. Nothing lost trying the Momentum. the 99 ron is a Minimum.

Intermittent shudder / misfire Fabia VRS MK2
A small point, not important, but for future reference the OP has a CTHE engine not a CAVE. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/279292-cthecave-enginewhats-the-difference

Intermittent shudder / misfire Fabia VRS MK2
Skoda / VW changed the spark plugs before the CTHE was used and the CAVE discontinued and the gap was reduced. Audi techs had already stopped using either of these plugs on A1 195 ps 1.4 TSFI's. 03C905601B / NGK SIZFR6B8FG were a 0.7mm gap. sadly, these were fitted to many a Twincharger with issues. Caused the issues along with the other well documented faults. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/371770-spark-plugs-for-mk2-fabia-vrs

Karoq cam belt change - start saving now !
They are right, it will last it's lifetime. Once we get to over 6 years of the 1.5 TSI ACT's production and use by paying customers we will get to know how long that is. Maybe VW Group could put a 8 year warranty on the engines. German manufacturing is just fantastic and they procure only the best components from around the world for the cheapest they can get them. Vorsprung Durch Technik.

DSG modes and gears-kickdown etc. ?gaslighting
They are full of guff, The Service Manager surely drives DSG's often if he has been with a Skoda Dealership any length of time unless his perk is some manual. The dealer principals will be a good car with a DSG as many Demonstrators the dealership has will be 2 pedal cars.

A handy quick small car for in the city.

Lane assist is dangerous
I have see them often over the years and still do and they are Marked and unmarked with no blue lights and sirens getting on up the A9, the A90, & various roads in Scotland without sirens and that is under instruction or on duty. Owning the road and just getting where they want to be. Some of the muppets crash and involve no others luckily. As they might say, indications are a courtesy. Flashing you with headlights as they want you out of the way as they proceed in stealth mode to get up on someone is common. Royal Protection around Royal Deeside out with which ever prince or the princes mother in their Audi's were a sight to behold going over to Grantown on Spey and around there. Obviously there are Exemptions and no prosecution of drivers training and exceeding the speed limit, bit in Scotland as elsewhere there are those that do get fixed penalties where it turns out there was no training or emergency they were going to. http://pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/scotland/442668/police-officer-caught-driving-at-136mph-on-a9 http://heraldscotland.com/default_content/12389823.policewoman-airlifted-crash

Karoq cam belt change - start saving now !
Plenty will see the 5 year service on their almost no miles done 1.5 TSI ACT car and think get shot & a get a new one, not spending £2,500. @ 5 Years. MOT time. Cam Belt. Brake Fluid 2nd change. Oil & Inspection Service & Extended Scope. Told the brake are 80% worn needs discs and pads. AC Service. Suggested fuel treatment etc etc. ? Will the Dealers / Trader do the Cam Belt at 5 years before selling them on ? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/510188-question-re-cambelt-vw-t-roc

The kick of the transmission when lowering from 4 to 3
Not a DQ200 if it has Haldex, so must be like a Kodiaq 1.4 TSI with Haldex if a 7 speed. A DQ381.

Engine Cover Dealer Delete
These are the contractors providing Customer Services. People with a keyboard that can be anyplace in the world, which is OK but for knowing jack sh-1t on almost everything.

The kick of the transmission when lowering from 4 to 3
Welcome. Looking at your first post in the other section it is a 1.4 TSI that you have. & a 4x4. Is this a DSG you have on your car? I did not know that there were 2021 Karoq with a 1.4 TSI so really no idea about them, but anything other than smooth is just not right.

Extended warranty for Karoq
When you buy an extended warranty to have 4 or 5 years before the car is First Registered in the UK it does not require an inspection @ 3 years. Not in any T&C's. You have the servicing to the manufacturers guidelines, recommendations or even schedule or specifications, depending on the wording in your warranty booklet / policy.

Yeti 2016 automatic gearbox oil change
A DQ200 DSG requires no Oil changes of either of the 2 oils, in the box and in the MCU. That is the 7 speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG in the front wheel drive TSI or TDI with no more than 250 Nm and 180 ps in a Skoda. 192 ps in a VW. (Kodiaq not included in this as they will be a DQ381) (Not sealed for life because some do change the oil, and VW had a World Wide Recall in 2012 & a European Service Campaign from 2014 and the oil was chanhed in around 4 million DQ200's)

EV real world range and cost to charge
I had those and big LPG tanks and travelled lots towing for much cheapness. I have a 3.2 diesel 4x4 for when i went to roll coal. So Stirling Park & Ride might have a 40 minute max charge time which is fair enough, but not when the 50kW is only putting out 26 kW even hooking up with only 25% in the battery. So i came off that and went on another and got a quicker charge but had to start that charger using my card as a Debit Card never worked. A minute over the 40 mins combined but i got enough of a charge.

EV real world range and cost to charge
Barsteward in blue BMW locked into the single rapid I used during the night for over an hour and at 100%. 60 minutes here now on the 7kW AC and they have never come back. Now got enough charge to get 120 miles then a 40 mins on a Rapid before heading home tonight. Free chargers, no time limit and just pure ignorance with many.

Spare wheel size??
@nta16 low profile tyres can be pure crap so no disagreement with that. But people buy or lease or use a car and they come with what they have. Not everyone is going to replace 4 or 5 wheels and tyres because they might be better with more sidewall.

EV real world range and cost to charge
2.40am and on a free charger for another 20 minutes. TPMS warning just 1/2 mile before I stopped and I hope it is not the tyre that was plugged yesterday and if it is it stays up till morning. Another charger in a very very dark place and with no shelter, but that is how many are in Scotland, at least it charges at a good speed. Just as long as it does not cut out.

EV real world range and cost to charge
Food and accomodation paid from what is not being paid buying liquid fuel. 100 minutes charging tonight and 40 minutes tomorrow that needs paid for but I will have a few free sessions tomorrow. So about £15 for 480 miles is ok. All the time in the world and almost a full moon. Plane I am waiting on about to land then off I go.
-
Spare wheel size??
So what. The cars were 2009-2014 as 1.4 TSI / TFS1 twin chargers. Same engines / DSG gearboxes. The Fabia hatch lighter but had ballast weights put on to have it heavier than the longer estate. Same spare wheel used regardless of if it was the VW, Seat, Skoda or Audi twincharger.
-
Spare wheel size??
215/40 R17 more sensible than the 205/40 R 17 that MK2 vRS and Monte Carlo got while the Polo, Ibiza and A1 sister cars got the 215/ 40 R17,s. If you opted for a spare you got the 195/ 55 R15.

EV real world range and cost to charge
I am sitting charging at Edinburgh Airport. Crap efficiency at near freezing and an extra 15 mile diversion getting here so I am on the first charge of 30 minutes on a 50 kW charger, then I will move to another as it is a £30 overstay. I will use a Card to start the next charger. So next to me someone had put there Jag on the AC on the rapid charger. Still 30 mins max charging. They have been 5 hours 47 mins when I got here and taken in 63 kWh at 35 pence a time, plus the £30 penalty. It is only money. They could have been on the many 7 kW chargers with a 12 hour max charge time. Once I get away from here I hope to get 100 miles and 40 mins charge before bed so not without range tomorrow or stuck getting on a charger early on.

Spare wheel size??
A 195/55 R 15 for a 215/40 R 17 suits pretty well. or a 185/60 R 15 The size that cars with a spare get from the factory.

Spare wheel size??
No use. Too big. Even if the wheels PDC is 5 x100 http://tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator
