Fabia MK3 bulkhead cable
Welcome. No help with where to run your cable, other than is next to the bonnet release cable not a possibility.Works with a Mk2 Fabia. Are you not better running the cable to the rear for an auxiliary battery and wiring from there for the amateur radio?

Thinking of buying a Mk2 Fabia vRS?
@Awesamdo you need an automatic or is the vRS just something that you fancy? (I assume an auto not necessary since you mention a Fiesta ST.) maybe @tweenstercould comment. He had a Mk2 vRS (s2000) and i am not sure if did go to a Fiesta, but then went to a Suzuki Swift and sounds if more than happy. There are others that spoke about going over to Fiesta's from the Fabia but no idea if they did. They are a bit of a mine field as well.

Hi All
@HT100 just noticed when you posted in another section about the Mk2 vRS limited edition. What is it, a S2000 ?

Karoq space saver 2022
Just how much smaller is the Space Saver with your car, or is it a Full Size Spare which saves space? Steel Wheel and narrower tyre, or actually a Skinny? What size tyres on the car, what size spare tyre? Some do come with far too small. Common on Superbs. Superb Estate 1.6Tdi MPG
There is Winter formulation Diesel & Petrol distributed starting in October in Scotland & the North of England until the end March. Further south comes from October on. If the weather / ambient temps are not cooler in the days or weeks the fuel consumption is not lower than during the same temps at other times of the year. Plenty fleets of HGV's and Company vans and cars with Managers that know what their vehicles use fuel wise and by the weather up and down the UK. You are getting the Cetane you pay for. ................ With e5 petrol it is not the same nation wide and many have no idea what they get, but they get the minimum octane of 97 ron or 99 ron, maybe better, but not lower. The E10 is 95 ron min, and might well be higher as less hygroscopic as this is what the winter formulation requires. The tanker was delivering the first winter fuel that year when i took the picture and i filled up there on my way away places and on my way back and was getting better economy than the weeks up to then as the weather was warmer that October and November than in September and August. But then i know the mpg i get in what ever i am driving doing the same routes in what ever directions at the different times of years, weather and if day time or during the night, and i know the time so speed i am doing. *Ask your usual filling station staff when their deliveries change from Summer to winter diesel.* They might not know anymore than most drivers know. Consider journey differences by time of year / seasons and ambient temps so regen frequency when looking at the fuel efficiency. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/456194-low-fuel-consumption-16tdi-dpf-engine

Thinking of buying a Mk2 Fabia vRS?
You need to know how they should drive to be able to know if it drives properly. Taking a Twincharger owner or past owner helps there. You have no idea if the car is remapped or not, or if on the 3rd engine which is OK, or the 2nd or 3rd set of Clutch Plates or a new DSG or MCU. You need to go by condition, and be familiar with the engines, what the OE coils look like and what spark plugs it should have just as basics. If the seller knows about the cars it helps, but does not mean it is not a duff one. ? What tyres were on it, were the brakes looking OK. The exhaust? It does help if a seller is OK with the car getting a long run, up to temp and then booted hard a few times, kickdown used, put in S, dropping 2 gears etc and using supercharge and turbo and no Engine or EPC or both coming on. Good if it is running on Super Unleaded and not just Unleaded.

Thinking of buying a Mk2 Fabia vRS?
Service Campaign on the DQ200 DSG's from 2010-2012 before the CTHE engines started being fitted. Sometime after March 2014 in the UK before Skoda started doing them.. Synthetic Oil changed to Mineral and a Software update. Late 2012 CAVE or the first CTHE, & there were cars that never got 34F7 or the 34H5, these are in the pinned thread at the top. Not a good situation there. Flashing Spanners. On a CTHE 2013-2015 it might be '34H5' a Software update that got done started 2017; But they never got a sticker.

Thinking of buying a Mk2 Fabia vRS?
@AwesamWhat was on the sticker in the boot have on to show a engine replaced ? If it was '34F7' that was not an engine replacement.

Service - Diagnostic report?
Ask them straight if they are carrying out all that Skoda UK have as part of an Oil & Inspection Service or the Extended Scope if you are paying for that. Ask for the print outs. Ask if the wheels are really coming off. Ask that the Body Inspection is done for the Paint & Corrosion Warranty. Not in the Warranty T&C's but Skoda say if someone makes a claim there is no record of being done. Ask if the car does get a Road Test or is that part of the fiction that is Main Dealer Servicing.

Recall on IV...HV battery (93L8)
Yes, This will be the Safety Critical one from about 10 months ago... so for your safety and others. So tell them to tell you exactly. It takes them long enough. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/509892-iv-ev-battery-recall

Driving over Snow
You will find plenty about the Haldex and correct servicing including the filter, You want to know you are getting drive to the rear. Have you checked and reset the tyre pressures since getting the car? Remember and reset the TPMS. Loads of stuff about on Scouts, Haldex, servicing etc. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/508201-reversing-in-4x4-mode-issues

Low riding on rear?
Not that low. But then the OP know if the cars has been like that for the past 10,000 miles / 8 months.

Under bonnet rust?
@DappernutThat is not my car just a illustration for anyone that does not know what a Kodiaq's catches / strikers or rubbers might look like. From an advert for under bonnet mats. ? Have you had the bonnet open this winter when there has been freezing and thawing over the days and nights and noticed much condensation on the bonnet or around the engine compartment? ..................... I was a car sprayer and did warranty inspections, reports and remedial work and refinishing. From reports of rusty liquid leaking from doors or panels that was often wax treatments washing out. Rear hatches and bonnets often the wrong bolts or screws and that causes the panel / hole edges to rust. Dissimilar metals. Self tapers screwed into the rear hatch holding on rear reg plates etc. Not common that the underside of a bonnet is not prepped correctly even where not colour coated. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/510041-has-the-car-been-been-in-an-accident But Skoda have had the Zinc Inclusion issue and others faults, so have it checked out. Not be a sales person or service desk or such, a tech how can get a paint tech or warranty manager. Or get an independent body shop to look before going to a dealership. A Borescope is good to check where the sun don't shine. That can be where a Dealership employees might not be that bright.

Low riding on rear?
Looks very low if that is unloaded. So how long have you had the car, and how many miles has it done? If you have not had it from new then you need to check what springs are on. Has it had a tow bar on or still does? As it is it needs checked to see that all is well.

Driving over Snow
Welcome. ?? Are you sure the Haldex is working, has it had services done correctly at 3 years /48,000 km? Even FWD cars with Winter or All Season tyres can get about OK without a Snow Setting and Skoda's have done for decades. Did you try TC / ASR off? Some Scouts come without an Offroad button / mode but i see yours has. Read up on what Off-road does with the accelerator because it is not necessarily what you want on road and on snow or ice. Which Continentals? I take it they are Continental M+S that are marked as 3PMSF tyres (3 peak mountain snow flake)

If there was one thing I would change about my Kamiq…
@Norton Ianwhat does the dealer think is fine about it other than various models have had the same happening for years. The dealership employees can be muppets. With some the seals need realigned, and some need the holes cleared periodically. Where the H20 gathers and then freezing and the weather stays freezing over a few days or weeks there are those that might put warm water on the door windows and that freezes in the door. There can be eventually quite a lot of ice in a door that does not get opened or even ones that does, then there can be some water comes out and the doors freeze close. A thing that all will not have, depends angle you might park at, and many are unaware of, and a location location location thing, but this winter maybe more common this winter in the south of the UK than usual. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/489287-kamiq-driver-door-water-retention Drivers door. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/483733-water-retention-in-doors http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/438775-water-gathering-in-door-characteristics-of-th-car http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/485622-water-in-front-doors http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/306279-water-retention-in-doors http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/381132-octavia-vrs-2015-water-in-rear-door http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/434504-water-in-doors http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/482148-door-drain-point PS The fuel filler flap freezing closed is a characteristic that some will discover and others might never experience, that includes the Engineers and Road Testers of cars designed and manufacturers in Central Europe... The Skoda's can just leave the factory with the bottom drain holes that hold the H2o in until the doors are opened. Some let water out and out of the car. Some let water get into the interior. Sadly. Some are poorly fitted. So get down on the ground and look at the bottom seals and have a poke at the hole in the rubber and see this lines up with the hole in the metal.

Is Dacia the new Skoda?
@lol-lol I liked the Clio E-Tech 145 with the 1.6 n/a engine i tried drove yesterday. I see this 'special limited edition' in the vid has heated seats and steering wheel but that is not available in the cars on sale just now.

Sportline Alloy Wheel Blemish
Yes, has has been the case for many many years. The OP has been lucky so far.

Under bonnet rust?
You need to check to see where the rusty metal actually is. Maybe a fastener attached to the bonnet and not actually the bonnet. Well not yet.
-
Sportline Alloy Wheel Blemish
No need for visible chips just a hard hit, or even a slight one. White worm can happen with brand new replacement rims getting tyres fitted. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/476768-possible-alloy-wheel-issue

DSG in emergency mode in the cold
The manufacturers warranty might only be 3 years, but that cost to you might get refunded come time. VW Group know well by now there are DQ381 issues. Anyone needs to be sure to have a Warranty covering the DSG's after the manufacturers one expires. & consider Oil Services of a DQ381 long before 80,000 miles. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/510461-what-dsg-box-do-i-have

Management light not going out after egv replacement on 63plate 1.2tdi
Welcome. Hopefully someone can help. Not relevant, but is there any record that the car had the VW Emissions Fix? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions The diesel should be OK but it will have been in since back in October or before. Pre this winter winter diesel delivery. Any water in the tank from condensation should not be the issue, but it has been freezing and thawing quite a lot in the past months. More OT, I was born in Banff and lived in Macduff.
