Auto Octavia cutting out , losing power and finding it hard to start after
Welcome. Sounds like you might have a battery / terminal / connection issue. To give some idea, what engine have you, a 1.6 TDI or a 2.0 TDI. So a Dry Clutch or wet clutch DSG?

EPC light on Octavia 1.4 tsi 110kw CZDA engine
Can you get the fault codes read if there are any, maybe misfires. ? Who many km has the car done and when were the spark plugs changed or even looked at?

Air intake blank vRS TDI?
@bmask90 were you actually there when the cars were on the dyno before and after this mod and saw the 2hp / 5nM improvement with your own eyes? For such a small amount of money why are you not just getting one for your car and then you will know when you dyno your car?

Karoq Warranty
@kodiaqsportline "not uncommon." is what i posted.

Karoq Warranty
Regardless of what @kodiaqsportline has seen before the issue is not uncommon, but then clutch failure with any model is not. No need for any Dealership to overcharge to carry out the work to repair. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/474062-karoq-8000=miles-clutch-failure-help http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/478322-clutch-failure @kodiaqsportline Are you 'Guest' (Scot5) that posted here?

Extending warranty - worth it
Can you say who the Dealer is? Are they on the Dealer Reviews on this forum? So not a Skoda Approved Used Car then. I posted recently about RAC Warranties. Very hit or miss as in the 100 point inspection. But they are selling this car with a Full Service History are they not, and knowing that a Service is due within 30 days. http://wilsons.co.uk/your-guide-to-rac-platinum-warranty rac-platinum-cover.pdf

Karoq Warranty
Sadly a common issue, even when the previous keeper was a Skoda Dealership. Always blamed on Driver Error. That will be the previous drivers. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/456623-clutch-gone-after-4900-miles

Extending warranty - worth it
They are taking the pith. The Salesperson, the Dealer Principal or that Dealership Group. That DSG Service is overdue. They know it and they are trying to bend you over and use no lube. You should not be paying for the DSG Service, not a penny. That is part of their costs, they make their profit after the car is prepared even if they buy it in ready for sale from an auction. They can ignore servicing due into the future but not overdue items. The car would be handed over and have a Service Record showing something outstanding / overdue yet they are putting a Warranty on the car. They bought the car knowing the DSG Servicing was required if the car has a DSG with a 40,000 service interval and not a 80,000 one. http://skoda.co.uk/used-cars/deals

Nearer 3" than 4" then. The difference between Ooo & Ahhh as the actress told the Bishop!

Space saver wheel
? Is it the correct stud pattern for a Mk2 Fabia? The size of the tyre is ok for circumference, but do you really want a Skinny Space Saver. The wheel you take off needs to go in the spare tyre well anyway. Would you not be better buying a wheel alloy or steel with a 205/45r 16 tyre? Or the Skoda standard spare which is 5x100 PCD and has a 195/55 R 15 tyre. Maybe from Briskoda for sales or Ebay. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/461276-spare-wheel-for-mark-2-fabia

Extending warranty - worth it
What is all the Servicing that has been done if on Flexible / Variable. Is it just 2 Oil & Filter Changes, 2 pollen filters now. Look & Sees and a free Wash & Vacuum? Was the Brake Fluid changed at 3 years or at least tested then or now. ? Is there anything else done, because a FMDSH is only useful if it shows each thing actually done. There is a big deal with the DSG service not done to Manufacturers Recommendations / Guidelines if a customer is going in with a Warranty claim. The 'Schedule' which they do not like to use the term of means that them putting the Approved Used Warranty on means there should be no question that they do the DSG Service, and the Brake Fluid Change. But that is sadly how it can go with Skoda Approved Used cars. They expect to knock someone down for not Servicing to recommendations, but they sell cars they know need some servicing done to catch up and do not do it. The DSG does not need 30,000 mile oil changes just to feel like it is getting special care. 36172_SKODA_Approved_Used_Warranty_Dec20_SINGLES (1).pdf

Knocking noise from engine 1.0 tsi
Well saved. Hopefully VW Group have a TPI covering this now. I can imagine the old 'We have never heard of this before' if anyone has a failure within or out of the warranty.

Extending warranty - worth it
I take it this is not a Skoda Approved Car and a Skoda Warranty. ? Who is the Warranty Provider. Does the Dealership supposedly do the Inspection and report for the Warranty. ie RAC or AA Approved? What engine and DSG has the car? If the DSG was due at 40,000 miles then that is past. ? Has the servicing up to now been done to Guidelines / Recommendations / Schedules even?

Haldex and DSG fluid/oil???
No they are not the same oil used for the DSG & the Haldex oil change. The Haldex Oil change is at 3 years / 30,000 miles.

Cheapest way to get a bit more sound out a 2.0TSI
Open the windows because really anyone around Deeside have enough good sounding cars and bikes and annoying ones about without having to hear a Skoda Superb nipping along at 60 mph.

Correct Oil Viscosity for 2017 Fabia 1.0 110ps
If it did leave the factory with 0w 20 FS IV / VW 508 00 then what has it had used since? What went in at the last oil change, is there an invoice? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/466283-what-oil-for-10-tsi-110

The language needs sorting. 35 kW sounds OK. In the UK a Fast Charger is a SLOW charger. 7 or 11 kW maybe. AC. a RAPID Charger is maybe a 50 kW DC charger. A QUICK Charger might be 100 / 100 plus DC. A Super Quick might be a 350 kW charger. Convenience is not what it is about it is getting your battery with power in and getting going. Not everyone has several hours available to park the car someplace that is not where they are going to or want to be. A 7 kW charger or even a 11 or 22 kW charger putting charge into a 80 kW battery is going to be fine for those not on a journey and needing to get on with getting someplace. HGV EV Charging Bays might eventually come to the UK Public Charging Hubs.- Correct Oil Viscosity for 2017 Fabia 1.0 110ps
The Oil is not 0w 20 IV FS for a 2017 1.0 TSI pre GPF 2017. It is VW 504 00 / 507 00 for fixed or variable servicing. That is 5w 30 FS III or even 0w 30 FS III For Fixed Oil & Filter Servicing intervals 9,400 (10,000) miles / 372 day you can use VW 502 00 which is 5w 40 FS. ..................................... This is VW 508 00 / 509 00 so 0w20 FS IV after VW started using it in preparation for the WLTP / RDE. Not backward compatible. ***2015 on causes confusion.***- Real world battery capacity
Your car seems pretty good getting 3.28 miles to a kWh in a high temperature like that. You covered the distance expected from 58kWh usable. I have a rubbish car with a 50 kW battery and 45 usable. I get 3.2 miles a kWh if the ambient temp is below 20*oC and as it gets higher less. That is with a heat pump and the AC not asked to keep the inside too cool. .................. An example of the VW Group EV in Scotland @ 30*oC ambient temps.- Ride Quality - 18” and 17” wheels.
Even if they are the identical weight and fitted with identical springs and dampers they can be different how they ride. Then the same car with tyres of the same size but different brands or tyres with more or less compliant sidewalls can make a difference. PS when comparing cars remember to check the tyre pressures the car is handed over at. Reviews / journalist / bloggers seldom if ever do. Certainly not at a car launch. Too happy just being paid to do a job just not that well.- Clunking from front end
The sooner you have it inspected and repaired by a competent person the cheaper it will be. Do not put that off, any guess here will just be that since you have read the other threads.- Overheating oil when towing caravan
Running solo is not the issue though is it? Had you checked the Oil cold when collected and then again at operating temp and is it to the top of the crosshatch when at around the 90*oC indicated oil temp? The coolant was maybe topped up at the service to MAX and can set it;s own level. ? Where is the coolant now when cold, still at max or between MAX & MIN? There is MIN & MAX because there is no 'FILL TO THIS LEVEL'.- When should DSG gearbox oil be changed
That is how it is.^^^^ DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG's have no Service Schedules, Guidelines or Recommendations from Skoda who at good times build 2,500 a day and have done for years now. If a dealership employee says they do need an oil change ( there are 2 oils) then ask the price and where they get their info and can they go get someone with a clue about Skoda cars. ......................................................... Just as a guide. & This does not apply to DQ200's (and DQ381's are at 80,000 miles. but some will stick doing them at 40,000) Prices have increased at some places or with the Fixed Service & Maintenance deals. - Walk Away or take it
