When i was a nipper and a teenager we had rear Spot Lights on our cars to look like we were rally drivers and to try and blind those up our arse. Some put on the rear fog light at the same time as the reversing light to be able to see better behind. But then the OP has only 1 rear fog light like millions of others cars.

More important to sort the Oil excessive consumption then since 3 litres of oil costs more than 2 gallons of diesel.

3 litres of oil just last week, or since the service? Are you sure enough oil was in from the service? A 50 Litre fuel tank and it holds more than that up the tube. A Fabia has a 45 litre tank.

@Mickeyvrs Do you do short runs where the TDI is not getting up to an efficient oil temp, like maybe under 10 miles from cold starts? It is winter, is it colder now than when you were getting 460-500 miles? When was the Air Filter checked and do you adjust tyre pressures as the ambient temperature changes? PS With a Full Tank do you mean you fill up with like 10 gallons / 45.5 litres. because 460-500 is not great in 50 litres?

You are not changing to smaller diameter rims are you and going with a bigger circumference / diameter of tyre are you? @Carlstoncan tell you all about sizes and pressures and theory and fact. Fact is maybe All Seasons of one brand or another brand in the size you already have might be more comfortable, but comfort is only something you can judge. A different pressure in the tyres you have now might make a difference. ? So what is the Generic Brand on now and what Speed / :load rating are they?

The Vauxhall issue is not the number of Sales or just First Registration of EV,s. In the UK. There are Legacy issues of being in the UK with it out of the EU. They were crazy with the pricing of the Corsa & Mokka electric but shifted many Brand new even during Covid Shutdown. Some pricing is still just ridiculous. I posted in your other post. What is fitted now, brand, speed/ load rating, are they XL tyres. A size change might not be more comfortable, depends that they are in the size. Then as far as safety you might fit a tyre with more grip / friction / traction and be less economical but be more surefooted, safety over economy. The guides are not always accurate when you put a tape measure around different tyre types / brands / tread depths.

What tyres are on now, speed / load rating, brand and are the XL tyres? No guarantee the different tyre size will be more comfortable. More grip / traction / friction so safer handling might well affect the MPG, but what matters safety or economy?

Still just an Emergency Spare really even without a warning sticker. If a different size from the one one the other side, different compound and tread. So If using common sense reduce speed if it has to be fitted. & reset the TPMS when fitted.

No surprises here. Fully expected & nothing to do with being an EV or Rear Wheel Drive, just the ECO tyres that they have just like many other vehicles that are not suitable for UK weather at some times of the year or locations. If you can not drive in and out of passing places you are a hindrance to others and a bl00dy pest expecting others to do it because you can not. (4WD on inappropriate tyres just gets you more into trouble because of the mistaken idea that you will have grip / traction.)

Welcome. It is a Tiptronic gearbox and anything it comes off of is going to be old, and you would need to know if it works if off a scrap / salvage car. ? Can your Gearbox not be rebuilt / refurbished? ? What is wrong with it as far as a Automatic Specialist has told you?

I think the OP is asking about the SAFETY Feature that stops you putting in a Petrol Nozzle instead of a diesel one at a filling station. They are trying to put in an Additive to the tank.

What is the Full Dealer History showing though? Is it lots that was being done or lots missed out be Peters & Lee Motors. Blindly go where none have gone before! The cars history is plenty badly worn tyres from the suspension being pretty shagged for years is it not. Maybe going to be an expensive MOT next year.

Dealers are not being penalised for not first registering 22% of Electric cars or 10% of Electric vans. ** The Manufacturer they sell the cars of might be limiting the ICE vehicles they can sell and they feel punished, and need to mouth off..** It is Manufacturers so their Importers being fined for the missed target. £15,000 per vehicle over the missed number. It looks like they will meet the target but buying others credits. EV,s are suffering terrible residuals but that is sellers problems not the buyers of used. Huge discounts right now on New EV,s since there is the Mandate to be met. So really the resale value matters little for those buying a keeper.

Also there might well have been Service Campaigns / Workshop Actions, Recall Actions, SKODA SECRET SERVICE CAMPAIGNS, TPI,s. Very much looking forward to getting in a right hand drive car and then seeing / using the controls, centre screen and buttons / touch pads with left hand finger tips. That is very much of a difference from as seen with right hand journalists in left hand drive cars. There is lots you can do to reduce the chance of an accident. Drive with due care and attention. Sadly there are Safety Systems now in vehicles that should not be on the roads as there are fundamental faults. But VW Group like to sell them anyway and then the Owners / Drivers have to wait for VW group to eventually resolve the issues.
