  1. Actually, digging deeper suggests various other suffixes have come along and will do. See next to 'Skoda part number' here: Throttle Valve TDI Germany - OE producer 038128063F (skoda-parts.com)
  2. Your part numbers are a digit off, it should be 128 in the middle, not 129, according to ETKA. (item 3 here: vacuum system; exhaust gas recirculation - Fabia(FAB) [EUROPA 2006 year] (7zap.com)) The suffix G part number has been replaced by suffix L, no idea what suffix M fits. Buy 038128063G controller lid Audi, Seat, Volkswagen genuine OEM part (oemwolf.com)
  3. Look at the cap and where the sealing o-ring is. If it's like later designs, it seals radially outwards against the inside of the neck of the tank. The point where it presses on the tank neck may be worn/indented due to years of pressure and heat cycles. Fingertip may feel this. I'm not sure that the Felicia cap is designed this way, but easy to see.
  4. I would advise against this, generally. Oil pressure is proportional to rpm up to a point, and low oil pressure in the crank lubrication area whilst requiring significant engine torque is a recipe for faster wear. Fourth gear up to at least 30mph, maybe even 35 is much kinder to the engine mechanicals. Keeping revs higher, especially in winter, also gives the alternator an easier task generating the necessary current to recharge the battery after cold start, heated rear screen etc.
  5. Do you know if your car was made after or before May 2006?
  6. Is it the original expansion tank the car was built with? If so, check the neck of the expansion tank with a fingertip, feeling for an indentation where the cap's o-ring has been sitting. It may be that there is such a groove, and it is leaking because the o-ring has more of a gap to fill than it was designed to.
  7. View this page on a computer rather than a phone, or you may not see all the info. Item 41 looks like the seal you are interested in, and item 24 is the return pipe screw. Google images suggests this is an XZN type head fitting rather than torx, which may be why the originals have been chewed up. exhaust gas turbocharger; exhaust manifolds - Octavia(OCT) [EUROPA 2010 year] (7zap.com)
  8. There's nothing to be gained by wiring it in. In fact both will be very slightly dimmer, and the fuse and switch are more likely to fail.
  9. No foglight on nearside is normal/correct, there's no wire to it. Brake light, swap bulbs across so working offside one is on nearside and vice versa. Check now what works/doesn't.
  10. @AnnoyingPentium has given you an excellent suggestion. The MAP sensor is fine just clipped in, screws will not change anything. When were the spark plugs last inspected or changed?
  11. Look at the 7th and 8th characters of the VIN. 6Y=mk1 5J=mk2 Pretty sure you'll find 6Y, as I don't think BME engine featured in mk2.
  12. I don't think you will need different window motor modules. Only on earlier cars does the electric mirror wiring go via them. On a 2006 car it goes direct, I believe.
  13. If you mean whether more voltage will make much difference, I'd say certainly. Brightness goes up with the square of voltage applied, from memory. But you maybe meant, "if it's an option to adjust"?
  14. So the voltage at the bulb connections is ~88% of what could possibly be there if full system voltage were being supplied losslessly. I think that does suggest it's being throttled back actively. Can't really imagine 12% being lost otherwise. So maybe can be de-throttled by suitable coding adjustment.
  15. Send me your address and I'll buy you a set for Christmas... 6'' LCD Digital Vernier Caliper Micrometer Measure Tool Gauge Ruler 150mm Silver | eBay
  16. What do you see across battery posts in same conditions (engine running lights on)?
  17. M18 x 1.5mm usually, I think. Put a vernier across the new one's thread to check the OD is about 18.
  18. For anyone who likes to see the ins and outs of things.
  19. No problem. That oemwolf.com site and the skoda-parts.com one are both handy for researching part number equivalences.
  20. I'd stick to AL. According to the website where I looked up AG (oemwolf.com), AL hasn't been further superseded. That's not an official VW group site though, so may be out of date. But it also may be the case that the suffix AK part is different, and doesn't suit cars that AG and AL do. On this page, while searching for the AL part, under the heading "Škoda part number:"There isn't an AK, which I'd take as further suggesting it's not equivalent: Electronic Module Škoda 5K0953569AL (skoda-parts.com)
  21. Probably not, unless they're using something quite inappropriate, but that seems unlikely. So is this car a recent acquisition, or you've had it some time and this misbehaviour is recent?
  22. Yeah I think the pressure switch is ignored below a certain rpm, except when cranking. 1500 maybe. What oil are you putting in it?
  23. Is it OK for a while after it gets fresh oil? Just wondering about possible dilution of the oil with diesel.
  24. May just be bearing wear. How many miles on the engine? What type of engine? Any signs of overheating?
