  1. I'm not 100% sure of the following, but the parts catalogue suggests: If it's a BMS engine code it'll have one as shown here exhaust pipe with catalyst and particulate filter... - Fabia(FAB) [EUROPA 2009 year] (7zap.com) If it's BNM or BNV it won't, as (not) shown here exhaust pipe with catalyst - Fabia(FAB) [EUROPA 2009 year] (7zap.com)
  2. Sounds wildly expensive for something you could pick up for <£30, and I would've thought quite unlikely to be the real issue. fuel tank; activated charcoal container; vent hose - Fabia(FAB) [EUROPA 2011 year] (7zap.com) 6q0201797b | eBay
  3. Superseded by suffix JD of the same base number: Buy 1T0413031HL gas shock absorber Skoda, Volkswagen genuine OEM part (oemwolf.com)
  4. Good stuff, glad to hear it was a cheap fix! Ways to support BRISKODA - Site & Motoring News - BRISKODA
  5. If the part number in the title is correct, that's a passenger side module. Edit: Ah, no , now that I've seen all of the pictures, it is the right part number unit, but wrong in the title Might be worth reading the last line of my signature.
  6. The Skoda-specific page: GOV.UK - The best place to find government services and information (check-vehicle-compatibility-e10-petrol.service.gov.uk)
  7. Just left of the pedals (RHD) under the centre console and heater box.
  8. And water content of fluid?
  9. Check whether your brake lights are working normally. And feel free to tell us which engine this Fabia has. Help! My EPC (Emissions) or CEL (Check Engine Lamp) is on. - Skoda Fabia Mk I - BRISKODA
  10. 340mm discs, as here? disc brake - Superb(SUP) [EUROPA 2016 year] (7zap.com) Then ebay searching the caliper part number takes me e.g. here, 2017 SKODA KODIAQ 1.4 PETROL PASSENGER SIDE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER | eBay Which looks very single piston.
  11. If it's a genuine spring, there'll be a sequence of coloured paint marks on it. From that sequence we will be able to tell you the part number.
  12. If you still struggle, try slight rotations, if the flexible hoses allow, to break the stiction of the o-ring inside, then pull.
  13. Are you looking at 'quick release couplings' like this? Couplpiece 1J0-122-291-C | VW Parts Online (vwpartsnowonline.com) If so you pull the wire retainer out as far as it goes, then pull, hard probably.
  14. Must be broken at one end or the other, I think.
  15. @hackingjam if you've ended up with a 6Yxxxxxxx window motor spare, don't bin it, they fetch decent money if working.
  16. I would expect at least a click from the module, if the wire between pin 2 and the fan control module is unbroken, maybe check the continuity of that brown/blue one; pin 3 of the 6-way connector at FCM. Were all three of the fuses I mentioned OK? Check that you have 12V (always) at pin 1 of that 6-way and at also pin 2 when the ignition is switched on; while you're there. Both fans may have completely worn out and failed at both speeds; they are 20 years old if original. Brushes sticking in their holders seems to be a common fault, as well as the super-common low speed resistor burnout.
  17. Which type of gearbox? Have you checked fuse 18?
  18. Stupidity can be very costly.
  19. I'm not sure who, if anyone, is saying the problem is anything other than what you've suggested there cheezemonkhai?
  20. @Lofty I guess they'd be the ones referred to here by the different colour names in the 'title' column here: seat - Fabia(FAB) [EUROPA 2002 year] (7zap.com) Any idea what the -XX letter pairs refer to in the 'note' column? I've seen them before on a few EKTA pages and never found out what they mean.
  21. I wouldn't get overexcited about the doom and gloom / drama queen merchants, for reasons relating to the post from our Columbian friend with long term E10 experience linked above.
  22. Doubtful in my mind that any such regularity would occur. See this post for example, from @juanse_2691 https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/496959-e10-fuel-and-2003-20l-fabia-mpi/?do=findComment&comment=5576655
  23. Scrappage schemes are primarily about boosting economies, not lowering emissions; though they might not be marketed that way.
