  1. Pre-cat oxygen sensor is wideband; so if anything, I'd expect that one to be steady mid-swing most of the time and the post-cat binary one to flick between lean and rich values.
  2. Those suit the BMD (6-valve) rather than BME, according to the catalogue. These are the suggested ones, bottom 4 part numbers are all options for BME: All BME ones except the economy one are superseded by 101 905 617C, but it doesn't say anything about them.
  3. Yep, as per my edit, seems S3 are all (and only) right side front.
  4. Unlikely. You need to have a diagnostic scan done, to see why the light has come on. Any action before that is just guesswork, which can prove expensive and fruitless.
  5. Sounds like a similar situation to being 'a bit pregnant'. 😁
  6. £20.60 + VAT at a Skoda parts counter, if you don't fancy chancing an aftermarket cheapy.
  7. Yep, yours should be the green one 036 919 081 D
  8. Indeed. The rest of the loom is still fine.
  9. It's a PD115, in a dull silver colour. Felt plenty grunty enough for me during a brief test drive. Bought some replacement rear discs and pads for it yesterday, all genuine, for just under £60 on ebay which was pleasing. Will need doing before MOT, which I'll gladly do.
  10. 5J0971120BC is what the parts catalogue says it should have. Slightly alarming £158 + VAT at a Skoda parts counter.
  11. Sounds like you've already solved all the things that needed attention.
  12. ECU faults almost never happen. Wiring faults often happen.
  13. Is there even a wear indicator on an offside front brake pad? Usually on inner pad of nearside front? Edit: wiring diagram says there is, front right looks like the only one on S3.
  14. Timing belt was done in 2020, only about 20k miles ago (from memory) so that should be good for a while. Service book looks pretty well filled in at first glance. MOT smoke test probably the biggest threat to continued existence. Pal advised that he alternated between standard and fancy diesel and tended to go for an Italian tune-up en route to MOTs. Due end of Sept, so will soon find out on that front. May get him to MOT it before actually buying it, thinking logically.
  15. I'm going to PM you with some info in a minute. Edit: unless @Crasher has already done enough!
  16. VIN/chassis number required to get sufficient data about the vehicle to find best wiring information, please.
  17. Wasn't the bonnet you were after, I assume? 😆
  18. Cheers Graham, and all who've said good things about the model. 😊
  19. We both test drove it this evening. All good, so going to take it off his hands in a couple of weeks' time. Needs rear brakes, but I'm happy to sort that myself. Anyone want a Polo?
  20. The 13 plate has colour info = Exterior color / Paint Code H3 / Q5W The 11 plate is 3U/ F8K Not a match, I'd say.
  21. Yes, your car has PR code 0EG which is defined as 'installation differentiation for transmission DQ200', Transmission code is UYV (gearbox code within the DQ200 family).
