  1. It sounds like somebody at Aviva has not done their job correctly and removed the "accident" details from CUE ( is CUE similar to MID?). I hope that you get it all sorted out quickly and without too much effort from your part.
  2. Welcome to the forum from another Stopfordian.
  3. I counted 13 chairs (6 each side and one at the head of the table). Is there room for one more 🙂
  4. A good race with no sign of the mist that the course is famous for. Well done to the winning marble. I am not a fan of the helices but they did not appear to cause damage to any of the competitors in this race.
  5. Our Chinese takeaway uses plastic containers ☚ī¸
  6. It is probably a safety feature so that the bonnet cannot be released whilst the car is being driven.
  7. It reminded me of last year's Formula 1 Mercedes v Red Bull battle. I hope that Marbula 1 will not turn into a 2 marble race. The ice section proved very tricky for the competitors and the entry was critical with places being won and lost. It must be difficult for the teams to get the set up right for the track and the ice section.
  8. I didn't think you did "heavy lifting"😁
  9. Now that it has been mentioned I really must buy some lemon puffs as I had forgotten how good they were and eat them all before they go soft.
  10. It may be the cold weather but the marbles seemed a bit sluggish on this track. There was also a bit of blocking going on which I thought would be picked by the stewards.
  11. I'm glad that the marbles are back for a new season and looking refreshed and hungry for victories.
  12. It could be that the 12v car battery is on the way out. Mine beeped at me when my battery voltage was low. You could get the battery checked to see whether that might be the fault. When was the battery last changed?

  14. Changing the brake light bulb on my wife's Clio MkIII. I watched a YouTube video that showed 3 T20 torx screws to be undone and then the light cluster should lift off. The rain stopped so I went outside, tooled up, to start the job. The upper and lower screws came undone easily but, of course, the middle one just rotated as the plastic captive "nut" was loose in the bodywork. Therefore I removed the boot side trim and tried to hold the spinning plastic piece through a jusy under hand sized hole in the boot. In doing so I dropped my pliers and they disappeared down the hole into the bodywork. I then spent about an hour and a half removing various parts of external trim and using a magnetic and 3 jaw grabber to try to retrieve the pliers with no success as I could not even see or feel them. Drilling out the offending screw was next but of course the plastic piece rotated with the drill bit so another pair of pliers was used, eventually successfully, to hold it. The bulb was then changed and everything reassembled with a nut and bolt instead of the bolt. A 10 minute job took 3 hours to complete and I have a scratched arm, a scab on my head where I hit the corner of the rear hatchback door and I have lost a good pair of pliers that I have owned for about 45 years. I took the car for a spirited drive over some speed bumps and the lost pliers did not rattle so they will now be considered part of the car!
  15. The one with the moustache is pepper the stubbled faced is salt.
  16. I have yet had to have such a procedure but this description of the process always cracks me up. It is rather long but in my opinion is well worth reading. https://ops-normal.org/viewtopic.php?t=330#p10789 (Scroll to the top of the page).
  17. Just be careful when prising the lid off the fuel filter housing after removing the bolts. It is very easy to bend the lid causing it to leak when reassembled.
  18. My late dad always said that "Third Class riding is better than First Class walking". Not that a Fabia is third Class 😁
  19. Sorry to hear that. Did nobody hear them?
