I very much doubt it on both counts. A paint warranty generally only covers problems coming from the inside out, or of course actual problems with the paint, not stone chips or other physical damage. Alloys wheels are vulnerable, if not prone, to chips and other damage from general driving. Getting minor chips, which then let water under the lacquer, causing the lacquer to lift (often referred to as 'white worm') are all too common, so I can't see any clause that would cover such eventualities. If you feel there's an obvious problem with the paint, or quality of the finish, then ask the dealers opinion and advice. Don't be surprised if they politely decline to assist. Have you had the car since new? Is it possibly just a poorly executed light refurb? Gaz

+1 - I've been pulled over for no tax and insurance on a car I owned that was taxed and insured. The Traffic officer was really good and said i'd quite likely get stopped again before the relevant databases were updated. I have a lot of empathy for TW. Our roads down South can be very busy, and there are roads I know very well, and therefore know where to overtake and where not to. In TW's place, I'd have likely given the Ferrari three chances to go where I would have. After the third I'd assume they were happy behind the silver/grey wagon, and I'd be planning to overtake two vehicles (assuming that slotting in between the Ferrari and van might not be an option, even if it should). Most overtakes are unnecessary. If I were the OP, I might've considered it better to get past the van when the opportunity prevailed, so that I wasn't stuck behind them at said intersection, where I might be able to get away when they can't. Either way, a duff experience for TW. Gaz

A 280 Superb is around the 276bhp mark. It's also petrol, and 4x4. Nothing like a 190 diesel. 41mpg out of a 280 is good going G

While not a decider, this would be something that I'd factor in, preferring history over the absence of it. I've not had problems with any of the high mileage cars (last one a 154k Touran for my Son) we've bought, and the mileage on the car you're looking at wouldn't bother me. Agree with Warrior and EN - given its age, it's probably been a mile muncher doing distance work (states the obvious). Gaz

Don't remember how much my licence was, but I remember driving lessons were £6 a pop and I paid in £1 notes. Didn't have to wear a seatbelt at the time. Times have changed. Gaz

The other possibility is that they reset it with one cold (new) tyre, and three warm ones. So the tyre pressures may be differing due to temperature. Leftfield but possible. Perhaps try another reset now. If it does nothing else it’ll at least eliminate temperature differences as being causative. Gaz

Hello and welcome Joyful88 Are all the tyre pressures correct? Are all the tyres the same size? (might sound daft, but let's be sure) And where you say reset the message' you've gone into Car > Settings > Tyres on the infotainment and confirmed the tyre pressures are set? If that's all done, then you shouldn't get further alerts unless something changes to when it was reset. Have you had any work done around the brakes? If I'm right, your TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) works via the ABS system and detects minor changes in the ABS monitoring - usually changes in the circumference of a tyre because of a change in tyre pressure. I suppose there is the possibility you do have a problem with the offside front (slow puncture maybe), just that it's not been discovered yet. Gaz

So far as I understand it, an active regen will increase tickover. Could the hum be the fans staying on? I'm of course only making suggestions. If it doesn't seem right, have it checked out by a mechanic/garage. Gaz

Hello John Are you sure it's a drain, and not just a battery in the twilight of its career? How old is the battery and what type is it? Do you have any ancillary components (e.g. a dash cam) or upgraded items that could be wired into a fuse box that are either on, or wired into a permanent live rather than an ignition live? Anything electrical changed recently? Boot light switched on? Gaz

And here too - either a twin cylinder foot pump (£7 at ECP) or a track/stirrup style bike pump. Pen style gauge does the job for me (as a double check - both pumps have inbuilt gauges). I've got a 12v electric one, but it hasn't been out of its box in probably five years. Gaz

As a kid, my parents weren't on mains drainage, so had to have a septic tank drained fairly regularly. Their neighbour, Mr Gladman, was a keen gardener, even as a centenarian. He never had his septic tank emptied... but always grew the most amazing vegetables 😎 I guess he had the right idea after all. He'd have moved off this mortal coil about 50 years ago. Makes me a bit sad, typing this, to realise that I can't picture his face at all. Gaz

Aww, we have a regular 😎 So regular in fact, I can tell by the sequence our outdoor lights come on. I think they might be my favourite animal. He/she sometimes brings a mate along and they get loved up - and they're surprisingly noisy! G
