Hello ACQPL It's over a decade ago now, but a Superb was my first Skoda, and what a great introduction to the brand it was 😎 Gaz

Hello ON1 It might be 11 years old now, but I think 2012 was a particularly good vintage 👍 Gaz
  3. Hello and welcome Kiwiana Gotta love a greyhound 😍 ....... and (cough) an Octavia of course 🙄 Gaz
  4. I'd echo Colin's points. Don't bother with a 4x4 if it's a want, rather than a need. Extra drive train weight, servicing costs and needs. Many posts on here of problems with haldex units where they've not been properly maintained. You really need to be doing (IMO) upwards of 20k miles a year to warrant choosing a diesel. My previous 2015 vRS was a mere 220. A stage one remap took it to north of 300bhp and made it a fair bit more sprightly. Gaz
  5. No need to be confused, the facelift has a very different front end - headlights being the most obvious: Gaz
  6. That’s a pre facelift model. Gaz
  7. Hello Eitherleader111 At 2015 it's more likely to be a TSI rather than a Tfsi Gaz

    Hello Bratze Gaz
  9. Hello BTandSid Gaz
  10. Hello MudBarf I use a mobility scooter too. It used to be a breeze getting it in my vRS Estate, and while it goes in the Golf, it doesn't exactly swallow it. So I'm considering changing back to an Estate, although a Roomster is a tickle I could definitely fancy Gaz
  11. I thought so too 😎 👍 G

    Hello Mick Gaz
  13. Hello Extonred In 2015 I bought my first new car - a DSG vRS Estate. Cracking car; hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine 😎 Gaz
  14. Hello Freddy Gaz
  15. Hello ZHK Gaz
  16. Think it’s a prerequisite to ensure we get the full, immersive experience 🙄 Glad to see it made it up your arm and out of the bowl too 👍 Yellow bowl looks the part, so it's important to test its limits. I leave servicing to other people now, but in the end started using a pump extractor, which was surprisingly effective. Gaz
  17. Hello Pavel 'Kodiaq says hello world' - sure sign Spring is here and it's time to come out of hibernation 🤣 Gaz
  18. Everybody wants a prize 🙄🤣 I had a ten year hiatus on ClubGTI, between my Mk2 and Mk7.5 GTI's. Don't drag me into your competitive absences - my non-existent Swiss heritage means I must remain impartial 😇 G
  19. Aye, also worth a read: So you want to be sure the expected changes have happened, and been recorded. Long test drive as @toot has suggested, to watch it warming up, remaining at temperature and not overheating under load. Check you've both hot, and cold, air through all the vents when called for. Check the header tank for "Mit Silikat' and see if it's got the ticking time bomb of a silica bag in it. Car sellers will tell you the problems caused by the silica bag splitting are rare and over exaggerated on car forums - don't be fooled; have search on here re silica bag and header tank replacements. Check for water ingress, particularly if what you look at has a sunroof. Make sure everything electrical works, including the infotainment, and satnav map updates/that it has an SD card (if it should have). Gaz
  20. Diesel or petrol? Year, mileage? Servicing and MOT history? Gaz
  21. Hello Jim Four posts in 13 years - I see you're pacing yourself! 🤣 Gaz
  22. Hello and welcome Jimmy Gaz
  23. 1964 Aston on the Hailsham by-pass earlier this afternoon: Glorious 😎 Gaz
  24. My brother had a V12 XJS from the (I think) late 1970's. It never ran on more than 11, which he was told at the time (mid 1980's) was pretty good all things considered. Reckon Harry stands a good chance and is in goods hands. Gaz
  25. Hello Steven, and welcome Gaz
