  1. Hello & welcome Dooge Fond memories of my 2015 vRS 220 DSG 😎 I went the other way to you, and am now in a 7.5 GTI - kids all flown the coop so don't need the room. Gaz
  2. I heard it was spotted in Tunbridge Wells a couple of months ago 😁 G
  3. Just found a picture of the car I inherited in 2002 - the car that got me into VAG - 1989 small bumper 3dr Mk2 GTI 16v, named by its previous owner as 'Schwarzer Blitz': Fond memories 😎 of a car left in my ward by my mate Larry, who passed away in 2002 after a short battle with prostate cancer (he lost). Hello & welcome SPM Whereabouts in NZ are you? Only asking out of curiosity as we've friends who have literally just emigrated to Taupo. Gaz
  9. Agree with George - possibly a spring if it's that noticeable a drop. Could be one of several things though, so needs checking. Best to be aware that according to what's happened, the car might not be roadworthy, which may have an adverse effect on your insurance. Tyres all okay and at the right pressure? Gaz

  11. You know you've reached a certain age/point when you look on an internet page, for someone the other side of the planet, who's just got a BNOS heater core, and you think 'Oooooh 😎!'. Gaz
  12. In the mid 1990's I supplemented my income by buying cars at auction and selling them on. I bought a BX19GTI mostly because I felt sorry for it, as although in good nick, it was running rough as ar$e oles. Other regular buyers thought I was nuts. While scratching our heads as to what was up with it, a mates Dad, who was a lift engineer, found what we couldn't, and a kink in a small coil spring somewhere on the injection system. Being an 'engineer' he wouldn't replace it, but spent a good while getting the kink out the spring. Popped it back on and hey presto. He bought it off us there and then, and had it for about six years before trading it in for a Moggie Minor project. Superbly comfortable and unique car. Gaz

Looks alright to me for the money. But I'm an armchair expert and nothing beats seeing it in the tin, sitting in it and going for a drive. I've sat in cars I liked and took an instant dislike to them once behind the wheel (Prius and a Mokka), and others I really didn't want to like but found them really rather good (Leaf, new shape Micra). Maybe time for you to go looksy. Gaz
  17. We have a whole sub-forum dedicated to tyres: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/213-tyres-zone/ Where, if you'll pardon the pun, you can fill your boots. Gaz

MOT expired 13/03/2022, but the rest of the MOT history looks unremarkable. Ask about what servicing it's had done. Do an HPI check. No heated seats. Has it got a spare wheel? Gaz

  24. Not exactly hifi, but certainly from yesteryear. My first ever (and still working) Sony radio. Circa 1973-ish:
