Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Yes, generally, the SD Cards for the Maps come in 16G or 32G. These needs to be Skoda/VW Discovery media cards. They are about a £30 for a 32G SD card (will allow the full ECE A1 maps to be installed).

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Okay - that looks like an Amunsden system. I think in theory you can go to 0478 (latest SOP-4 variant). You also need new maps - you have the OEM 2018 maps.

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
So folks - there are some rules that need to be adhered to. As far as I am aware, the firmware numbering is quite specific. If you have a 02xx firmware, then you need to make sure you stick with that branch of code. Putting an 04xx on a 02xx firmware branch onto that hardware could potentially brick it.....so be careful. This means 02xx firmware branch - stays on 02xx branch 03xx firmware branch has to stick with 03xx branch 04xx firmware branch has to stick with 04xx branch @pab567can you sanity check this last comment - I am fairly sure this is how VW's MIB firmware code branching works.

Amunsden DAB Icons
Annoyingly enough - you will need to have the 2nd SD card in there permanent to allow you have the icons there working. You cannot put them on, then eject the SD card. So - for those who use the 2nd card slot for music too, I recommend having a folder called ICONS and another called MUSIC. You just need to update the icons file every year or so.

DAB missing from Kodiaq RS MY21
So the question is can these features be abled via VCDS (Personalisation and DAB) @pab567

VAG Code 07462
Look at DPF issues. What kind of mileage do you do? Take the car for an Italian tuneup (low gear, higher revs - around 3000rpm [when warm]) and go for a long drive. Put in a tank of decent branded fuel (not supermarket).

DAB missing from Kodiaq RS MY21
Okay - That looks like a Columbus system to me and an MIB2.5 system. That's a curious combo for an MY21 car. Do you have a DVD drive in the glovebox for that system? @pab567 is there a new firmware version available on that system or not? Personalisation is definitely a feature; if you go to Menu->Settings, is it located here? The radio should be DAB+ compliant; worth asking your dealer about that.
-
DAB missing from Kodiaq RS MY21
On the MIB3 systems, it is done completely differently. Make sure you have an 'data' link with your MIB3 system, then go to the Home Screen - and hidden - top left - will be notifications - and somewhere there - should be a firmware update for your system.
-
DAB missing from Kodiaq RS MY21
Okay - personalisation needs to be switched ON - Go to Car -> Settings and switch it on there. Medical kits - if they are required by Law, you should have been given one as standard. The only references I can find are here: https://www.safeworkaustralia.gov.au/first-aid but not specific to cars. As Aus is a large inhospitable place outside the towns and cities, you might want to go and speak with your dealer about supplying a kit. Re: lights fogging - make sure the caps on the back of the lighting modules are properly in place and they are not missing or incorrectly fitted. A dealer check will verify this for you.

DAB missing from Kodiaq RS MY21
Okay - on the latest generation of MIB systems, there is no definition of either DAB or FM. They are all in one band. If you do a radio scan, you will find a mixture of FM and DAB stations all in the one place. Your stations are listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_radio_in_Australia#Sydney . Make sure you also have L-Band enabled in your Radio settings - oh and do a firmware update for your MIB3 system.

FIXED - Cannot activate Hellphase on MY20 MK3 245 Cup Challenge VRS
I'm trying to achieve Hellphase turning lights - alternating white and yellow turning signals. I also want to enable alternating whiskers flashing on/off as per my MY19 Scout and MY18 VRS.

FIXED - Cannot activate Hellphase on MY20 MK3 245 Cup Challenge VRS
Yerr - that was me. The instructions you gave for my MY19 - also worked with the 245 Cup Challenge MY20 car; although helpfully, VW relabelled most of the Leuchte26NSL LA72-Lasttyp 26 as he has full LED rear light package, but I'll change it over to 32. There seem to be so many variants on rear light clusters its hurting my head!

Skoda Connect Lite
What is your Android handset? If it is a Note 9 or a Galaxy S9, then you might have an issue with the GPS receiver that doesn't work properly if it isn't calibrated. Re: Backups. Try doing a manual backup when you connect on WiFi. Whilst there is an option that backups can be made to work either on mobile or WiFi, in reality, it only works when the WiFi card is enabled and there is an internet connection - its a bug.

Octavia 1.4 Stop/Start & Battery issues
Your car is on the cusp on that change that required batteries to be coded into the system. If you have a small QR code on your battery, then it is a smart battery and it needs to be coded in. 2016 onwards, VW group started putting in smart batteries (for Auto-Stop/start) and the batteries needed to be coded in to work properly.

Skoda Octavia MK3 Estate 1.6 or 2.0 Diesel
Well, if you look at West End Skoda (westendskoda.com), and look under used cars, they have our old Octavia 2.0tdi 4x4 (SO65 BNE) at £8995 - its done 79k miles and has a tow-bar plus most of the SuperSkoda catalogue chucked at it. If you wanted to do an upgrade, get some steering wheel controls and you have a rocking car.

Octavia MK3 (2015) - aftermarket stereo?
Okay. So it sounds like you have a solution. A software license from your dealer for Android Auto or Apple Carplay. The other thing is the screen. I would need to confirm whether it is possible but if you can get hold of a non-buttoned screen from a FL model, I think it is plug and play. Expect to pay 300 to 400ukp or about 450euros for a modern screen.@pab567@pab567 The other option is to see if there is a firmware update for your system which might improve the system performance.

Any advice on buying a 2018 Sportline 2.0L 220 ?
No, not really, only if you switch of ESP, but the same could be said of any car of that kind of power

Fault codes - Carista
Batteries and phantom faults. Nightmare. Take your VRS for a long spin around Liverpool, charge up the battery, clear the error messages and as @langers2k said - rescan in a week.

Any advice on buying a 2018 Sportline 2.0L 220 ?
Welcome. Your engine is a petrol 2.0 TSI engine - which is 220bhp form is the unit used on the Octavia VRS's as well as on the Superb's. Nothing particular comes to mind: 1) Check the state of the oil. Should have been done at 18k ish. Ask the dealer for the service history. 2) I am surprised you've only got a 6 speed Auto DSG - are you sure you don't have the DQ381 7 speed DSG? - either variants are generally bulletproof. If you want to be super happy, get a gearbox oil change done [normally done at 40k for the 6 speed DSG's]. That will give you peace of mind.

FIXED - Cannot activate Hellphase on MY20 MK3 245 Cup Challenge VRS
@langers2k one for you to hopefully advise. Prior to lockdown, I had a guy come over to enable a whole load of functionality on his VRS 245 Challenge Estate in Black - his car was an MY20 spec vehicle [the last hazaar for the MK3]. It was a VERY nice car and the owner was a lovely guy. I went to town to try and activate as many functions as I could in a couple of hours - including updating the firmware on his Amunsden and upgrading his maps. There was a lot to do. One thing I fell down on - was setting up Hellphase and the whiskers on his LED lights. Whatever I did, I could not activate them. Similarly, even ODBEleven turned up its nose at trying to activate this feature, so I'm somewhat stuck. Before he left, I grabbed all the settings on the 09 module via a Controller Channel Map. I suspect I'll probably need the LED Left and LED Right lighting modules, but that info will have to wait until he next visits. Can you see anything obvious here? Grabs were taken post-changes. One thing that slightly worried me; it looks like the car is still in 'Transport Mode'; but I could be wrong here. I definately didn't activate Transport Mode, but the car was not totally behaving itself, so suspect that this could be the source of the problem. I have the owners permission to post these settings up here. blockmap-09-5Q0-937-084-DD_TMBKU7NE4K0209951-20201211-1402.CSV adpmap-09-5Q0-937-084-DD_TMBKU7NE4K0209951-20201211-1405.CSV blockmap-09-5Q0-937-084-DD_TMBKU7NE4K0209951-20201211-1405.CSV adpmap-09-5Q0-937-084-DD_TMBKU7NE4K0209951-20201211-1403.CSV

Coolant loss on new Octavia VRS 245
Suspect failed pressure cap (its sticking shut). The caps can be a bit temperamental sometimes. Several revisions have been done - but here is the latest generation - will cost you £14 plus P&P: https://www.theskodashop.co.uk/collections/skoda-cooling-heating-parts/products/skoda-coolant-cap-2q0121321a Waterpump issues were fixed on 2017> cars....so its not that. One way to check to see what is happening, is to fill up the coolant bottle to maximum and shove some papertowels on the left hand on the waterbottle next to the overflow. If the system over-pressurises and it overflows and you have wet paper-towels, then you've found your problem.
