Yes .. if yours is the same as other Skoda's it's one pump that spins in opposite directions for front back and has a small valve arrangement on it. Usually in the front left wheel arch behind the liner... About £15... As for the other stuff... Tyre inflation kit... Why bother and shockers .. maybe see if it does fail first as slight misting is ok and not a fail if I remember.

Not sure why they would be replacing the wiper motor if that is working but the washer isn't... The washer pump is a separate item?

Maybe I'm being thick but what's the attraction of selling? Is it people who change cars every few years who are Changing early to take advantage of higher trade ins and low finance on new, in the hope they get a good deal? Or is it people not needing cars anymore and selling? Personally we buy our cars with cash when they are a year or two old and keep for a long time, typically over 10 years, so can't see the point in selling at a higher price now but also having to pay a higher price now for a replacement.

Is the whole thing dropping down? If so it sound like its not been screwed back in properly as I believe there are 4 torx screws that hold it in... One in each corner. So two at the front behind the panel that has the two clear squares where the bulbs are and two underneath the panel around the 'assist' button and light. Both panels should remove by gently prising them with a trim tool or small screwdriver. Someone on here has changed the bulbs to LEDs recently and had some photos that showed them but I'm damned if I can find it now.

The other thing to remember, and my experience over 19 years ove being on here is that Briskoda is about more than just Skoda's... Its a real 'community', albeit a virtual, worldwide, one. That's why so many people stick around even though they no longer own a Skoda...

I know what you mean @J.R. the DSG and some Autos seem to have led to a type of driver that is 'all or nothing' and flat out on either throttle or brake. It seems to be the same with some of the middle aged blokes trying to regain their youth in certain vehicles as well...

So here's a thing... Reading this thread has reminded me that I've got a pair of q acoustic 2010i sat on a shelf in the spare room. They used to be wall mounted in the dining room at our old house but we moved 7 years ago and I've never used them in the new house... I'm now thinking that I may need to invest in something to hook them up to for my 'home office' (aka the kid's room that happens to have a desk in it). Maybe a half decent micro system that doesn't take up too much space and can alos be rigged up to the telly that's in there...

Yep fully aware that some like them and that there are benefits - my parents have had autos for the last 30 years and I've driven them all regularly... I still prefer a manual though as I find it gives more control and I actually like driving and the skill of coordinating hands and feet smoothly... But I know I'm in a minority.

Oh dear... Looks like I'll have to change marques or suck it up then as I've tried a dsg and didn't really like it.

On the mk 2 Octavia the flaps were just clipped onto the end of the washer spray arm, which was extended by water pressure. It was therefore a case of activating the headlight washers, grabbing the spray arm while it was out and holding it out whilst clipping the cover back on. I'd imagine the Kodiaq is similar.

Yeah the 103s were certainly a bit wakky an very big for a bookshelf. Unfortunately they were fried by an Amp that decided to put mains voltage down the speaker terminals so I only heard them a couple of times. The crestas he had wall mounted and they were usually blasting out classical music whilst he was cooking in the kitchen.

He was a bit of a Kef fan... Before the R3 he had some 70s Cresta 2 in the dining room and reference 103 in the lounge. The MIL hated them and they were well past their best by the time I saw them but he held on to them just in case even though they'd packed in working. They are now in the hifi scrapyard in the sky...

That's a really interesting read as I have the older MA Bronze B2 but have to say I doubt I'd have the time or inclination to upgrade them to that level of detail, even if it were so worthwhile! Kudos to you for doing so... Maybe I'll just nick my late FILs Kef R3 instead...

Yes .. it's a threaded plastic t bar arrangement. The t bar goes through the slit and turns 90 degrees with the threaded part sticking up. Nope... Same on our kodiaq... I think you need to have electric memory seats for it to go further and the dipped position set.

My guess then is that its a feature of the dsg and is the clutch pack engaging and adjusting to suit there different revs and speed as you release the throttle. I and my wife noticed similar jerkiness on dsg cars we tried before buying a manual again... it was one of the things that put us off dsg given we live in a city of hills.

Any loud hissing noise when you try and accelerate? If so you could have a boost leak or pipe popped off (I drove our 2.0 tdi 4x4 with a loose intercooler pipe by the EGR once and it was dire but 'hissy'...)

When we drove the 1.4 dsg we found it was a bit lethargic and didn't really get on with the dsg. The manual was better and suited us well coming from a tdi
