Just to clarify things, does the unit interact at all with Maxidot? Either the radio or GPS or bluetooth?

They'd sell 3x as much if that unit were open firmware so that everybody can reflash it to match their taste. Also USB on the back and/or wifi would be nice to have.

Sweet, who's up for going for a group buy direct then??

See what price he will give us on 5 units+ ?

Unless anyone can find the one like Igorrs with the 2 sd slots at the bottom?

I could be up for one!

You get a visual display for the reverse parking sensors! Is this with the factory fitted ones? Or is this something after market?!?!

Its getting awfully tempting! Might have to sell my Audience system to finance this! Just want to see one in flesh :(

As the units tend to be running Windows CE or Windows mobile in the background I would have thought they are relatively open to being modified to suit peoples tastes or provide extra functionality

I'm with you too Vimto

Need to see one

but my cash is burning a big hole in my pocket

Well if you cave in and get one...let me know

I'm tempted too....

Igorrr, where did you get that unit?...........Anyone found one of these for sale yet? Personnally I prefer Igorrr's unit.

Does it connect to max-dot and can you attach a hard drive?

When you do find it check it supports English ;)

It also looks like it does the visual for the rear parking sensors! But prefer the look of the ebay one for Sat Nav

The ebay one does reverse camera hook up too if you look at the small print...

I was thinking that reversing camera could be useful for other things instead if people already have reversing sensors if it was wired to a switch instead of revering lights, ie could be used to check on the kids in the back without having to turn round, or check the dog isnt eating the boot etc

Don't forget, you can get 4 days out of one pair!!

would be good to find more info on the other unit, spec etc before i decide which one to get.

Wow, it's miles ahead of the mfd2. Remote control, too, didn't know it had that.

Dave.

Jeeze that was a big read my eyes .....my eyes...

I just finished reading that whopper of a thread and someone mentioned that youtube vid of the DVD playback....no one else has it...maybe had a lemon....or forgot to remove transport screws in top of unit (or powered unit up with transport screws to keep head still) and plucked it up.
