The (hopefully) definitive Fabia Leather Seats thread

Featured Replies

I'd like to have an easy-to-find collection of leather seat pictures. This is mainly because I'm having some difficulty in choosing which patterns and styles of leather to have when I get my seats leathered at Seat Surgeons some time in the future.

If everyone who has had their seats "leathered" could post up a picture or two, and describe what they asked for (nappa leather?, colours, etc?), I think this could prove useful for a whole load of people who may be looking to improve the interior of their car.

There was someone on here who had black outer, white perforated inner and red stitching on their leather seats, I've forgotten who it was but if they could make themselves known and let me know what they asked for then that's my preferred style at the moment. I'd be interested to see what a leather version of the original pattern looks like (white outsides, black insides (but with some stitching)).

By the way, I know about Fabia-vrs.com - Image Gallery 7 but that gallery doesn't contain the most important information - what colours and leather types they are!

Thanks everyone!

Good idea........ Maybe the mods could make this a sticky in the the Fabia section???

Cheers

Dave.

First time i have seen these. Absolutely great ! :)

Has anyone got a pic of fabia vrs leather with green stitching?

Here's mine: Seat Surgeons' black leather, black stitching, no perforations (unnecessary in the British climate IMHO, particularly considering the vRS has air con, a view echoed by Seat Surgeons' managing director and all-round top bloke Paul) and vRS logos where they should be.

The leather interior was the first mod I carried out on my car... even before the original seats had become worn or dirty (indeed, the only other mods I've done so far are the Cage, Nipple Mate and silvered indicators bulbs).

I intend keeping the car for quite a while (I had my last car, a French blue, 1.8 TwinSpark, Alfa Romeo 145 for 7 years (and only ever saw one other in that time) and didn't want to be precious about the seats and not be able to just dump shopping etc on them, or tell my young daughters to not kick the backs of the front seats.

Now all the seats need is the occasional going over with some baby wipes.

The leather really does enhance your enjoyment of the car. It makes it an even nicer place to be, smells of processed Chinese cow, won't 'bobble', fray or stain and, in a happy coincidence, is practically exactly the same colour and grain as the fascia and door plastics i.e moisturised rhino butt.

How much did you pay Shifty/Mr Wobblytickle/Ricko if you dont mind me asking? I presume you were all at seat surgeons? Could they do it to an elegance with the heated seats?

Here's mine.

Black nappa with grey perforated inserts and white stitching.

Had the VRS logo in the correct place also.

£800 fitted from SS.

Still smells brand new

Thats a fair wack, but looks damn good for it, im guessing price varies depending on what style you choose, symonevans is my favourite so far. Is upgrading to leather a declarable mod?

Yeah its cheaper for standard leather but nappa is softer and IMO the nicer. Style wise, you can have what ever you want at no extra cost

I haven't informed my insurance basically on the principle that it isnt a performance mod, nothing added, nothing taken away and when you buy a car with optional leather it comes with the car. If you was the second owner on a car with this extra, you'd just think it was standard? wouldnt you?

I'm sure others will raise this point and have a rant at me. Feel free.... :D

What fabia is that? Is it a limited edition estate?

I'm loving this! Damn I didn't even know getting the vRS logo in the right place was an option! :(

I originally wanted grey outer and black inner like the current cloth vRS seats but was informed it'd be easier to keep the opposite cleaner, so went with Black outer and Grey inner, as shown here:

Taken from a Camerphone so pardon the quality :o

Got mine in Nappa for £800 as SS were running a special offer at the time. They get busiest when the new registrations are out and may do special offers at quieter times.

These all look great, and £800 seems like awesome value!

But how comes the lower stitching on the back doors is always a bit low?

looks a little like SS's pattern is a little out? Or maybe it stretches from installation?

Is there to option to just not have the stitching on the bottom of the rear doors?

Thanks, Rob.

Is there a Briskoda discount with Seat Surgeons?

Not going to rant mate, but just going to point it out to you... you may be driving around with invalid insurance. Its not all the do with performance, but desirability.

Custom leather seats = more desirable = more likey for a chav to steal it = slightly higher premium.

Most insurance companies require you declare ALL optional extras. You buy second hand, its your job to find the mods and declare.

can't really make out in the pictures but have the door cards been trimmed aswell?

Door cards not done. They are not normally an option from Transcal. No doubt, they'd do them, but at a cost. I'd probably have gone to Seat Surgeons had Transcal not been on my door step. Can't say I'm not pleased though with the quality of leather and workmanship(look as good today as they did when new - almost a year now).

They look lovely Ming

This is a bad thread. I won't want to see all these nice pictures of leather interiors :ignore:

Damn you all :P
