The mongrel has been clobbered! Pics

Featured Replies

Not a good end to a friday....

Slow corner, had to stop for a car coming the other way (typical Devon lane) white cavvy goes up my backside at a relatively slow speed. Still, only visual damage done - new bumper for sure, and a repair to the bootlid that I'm not sure how bad it is. Here's a couple of pics of her in current sorry state. :thumbdwn: Got all details of the person and not going through insurance. Already bought the new bumper for it. ;)

Awww bud! That's a bit rubbish for ya! Still, least it's cosmetic only!

Silver is a very popular colour.. you will hopefully find a newen' quite easily that you may not even have to paint!

Best a luck!

Bummer.

I'm not one to take the urine though. :D But I will see what happens. Once I get the new back bumper, I will fit it and see how the colour matches the rear wing. Then take it from there.

Bit pants.

I'm selling my old silver vrs bumper for £30, you could of bought that :P

Sorry to hear Jas :(

Hope it's sorted soon.

Sorry to hear that, but glad it's only cosmetic.

Definitely no whiplash either! :D

sorry to hear it - but at least it's relatively minor. Neither you or any of the complex fettled internals have been hurt, thank goodness....

Bas

36_2_80.gif Hth. Sorry to see your car has been bumped

feeling for you mate, hope it gets fixed soon.

Davy

They are quite tough little cars, though I would avise you to check very carefully the boot floor and the rear panel/lock carrier, as the bumper springs back almost immediately after impact making any damage look minor.

The skin behind the rear vallance has been pushed in a little ways, but there is no way it's done anything structural. :)

good opertunity to get the whole body sorted while its in jase,at least someone else will be picking up the tab for some of it,t all the niggles done while its in:thumbup:

Oooh Jason

As is always said in this situation , it could have been worse

But you are fine and that is what we mainly worry about

As you said , you will not take this accident to make the whole thing right , and I must admit I would be the same as you

Take care and hope that you get it sorted soon

Sarah

Bad news :thumbdwn:

Hope it gets back to full health soon.

Definitely no whiplash either! :D

From someone who works in the compensation business, it's so refreshing to see someone not claim for that bloody thing! Takes a lot as well

Surely this is just an excuse for further mongrelling? ;)

Glad you're okay mate.

The bumper I had Pm'd Alex about the day before saying I would have it. :finger: Thanks

You will have almost certainly snapped the retaining brackets for the bumper where it attaches to the rear panel, they are only a few quid but its helluva annoying when you got to fit a new bumper and realise you need one of these.

sorry to hear about the crunch jason, as he's hit you it will be his fault so i would get the boot repaired on his tab. See if there are any lighter boots about as it might be worth while to loose some more weight and get it like new and not have to spend a penny!!

Dude .................... i know how it feels, just got mine back remember.

BUT you could have the black roof done while you got it in the body shop :)

The black roof is being done. I am not taking the mick on this one, so have broken it down into boot + bumper for matey, and we have mutually agreed a price of £165 all in. That is a bargain for him in my opinion. I will simply give the bodyshop extra to do the roof in black magic as well. I can fit the bumper myself.

nice one mate, you getting any black on the bonnet? I know you were thinking about it???

We will have to get together at some meets for some "black roof pics" lol
