oh no looks like they've stuck the front end of a new ibiza on the A4.... at least they're using the cabrio dashboard.....

Parts Bin special!!!

Parts Bin special!!!

Even so, it doesn't look too bad I reckon.:o

I rather like that - Apart from the steering wheel

Yeah a good effort I suppose, could be tempted to switch to Seat in the future.

considering that the A4 is a blight on our roads anyway this is a supreme effort.

The Exeo is quite a nice looking car but it's clear that SEAT are spending virtually nothing on development in order to return themselves to profitability. From what I understand it the Tribu 4x4 will basically be a rebadged Tiguan.

The Exeo is only gonna have 2 diesel engines, both CR TDi units. 140BHP and 170 BHP. No petrol!! no word on whether it's going to nick the quattro system, but I doubt it. Wonder if they'll make a Cupra /R version?

I don't think Audi will let SEAT "borrow" the Quattro system. AFAIK its an Audi trademarked system.

Think this Exeo will pee a few A4 owners off though!!

Any idea on prices yet?

Thats just really odd looking. Im sure its a great car, but "its just a rebadged Audi" would get annoying.

I was looking forward to this car, now less so. I was quite keen to stick with the Seat brand but didn't want another Leon and the bigger models really don't appeal.

It really is just an A4 with the Seat 'face' the interior is exactly the same! If it wasn't one of the more reputable car web sites I would have said it was a fake!

I quite like that :sofahide:

Looks to much like the Passat to me.

Looks like a Lexus IS, so maybe it's VAG's attempt to steal some customers back of them.

Depending on price and whether Seat replace the suspension with blocks of wood, it could do very well, as the last of the old shape A4's were a good car.

I wonder if they'll do an RS4 version - an Exeo Cupra K1 anyone??

We knew Seat were trying to be more Audi like but isnt this maybe a step too far?

I think it's a good idea for SEAT to use the now "OLD" B7 platform to test the water in the mini exec market. If it sinks they won't have lost much money on development, if it swims then they'll probably improve it ala Skoda with the Superb II.

How many people were moaning about the Mk1 Superb being a stretched Passat ?

Good point.

it will be interesting to see if SEAT inject some individuality in there.

The Superb may have been a stretched Passat but it did have the umbrella

...ella, ella, ella...

I like that actually.

It's way ahead of the Toledo which they basically lumped a bigger back end on to it.

I don't see the bad thing that it looks like an A4 but it'll have Seat pricing.

Prob won't be that cheap unless you go for a base model

Doesn't really "do it" for me, but then Audi's "actually nothing like an Auto Union" line never did, so why would changing the grille shape help?

  • 2 weeks later...

I really like that, and they should be cheap as chips when it comes to replacing my Superb :P

170bhp diesel, DSG, with some flappy paddles if you please?

I think the estate version will be a big seller in the UK. I'd even consider one of these in 170BHP form!
