  • I've stripped both cars, cleaned the estate and today i got the engine loom, abs pump, brake lines etc swapped. I had a mechanic friend over doing the clutch, timing belt, water pump, hybrid turbo et

  • Tell me about it, i'm always fixin them. So far in my house he has fitted a dimmer switch, something is wrong here.

  • You excited yet?

For some reason the back seems to have settled a bit, front still high for some reason?

The back has always been a little lower, i guessed as they are hatch springs on an estate, not sure if this would tip the front up a bit. Still early days yet.

:) - regardless it is looking great ;)

More work on the go this weekend, sounds like it is going great.

Just need to work out how/when to do the windscreen though :)

I think the lower rear suspension is a 'feature' of the Eibach suspension set up. Mine (same Eibach/FSD setup) sits lower at the back than the front and the Eibach website talks about 'low rear DTM-look stance'.

Guess I'll have to drop some lead under the bonnet to lower it

it's looking damn clean right now

What's that heap behind the Fabia?

People will just dump things anywere these days.

PS Loving your work btw.

The Fab is definitely looking amazing :D - clean in more ways than one, 250ish-k miles on the clock before it went to Ross, and as per some of his pics, loads of cleaning was done. Add to that debadging, colour coding, completely redone front bumper & grill surround, plus wheels ;)

Nice ;) Very very nice :D

It had some very special treatment from Baker today, safe to say the car has never been this clean before. highlights the somewhat tired paint due to the mileage but on the whole not to bad.

Every warning light is out now, a clean dash :)

ABS bleed hopefully tomorrow after work and shes fully mobile again.

Excellent stuff :-)

I'll try to grab the insurance paperwork and then we can try to get the windscreen sorted ;)

it's looking damn clean right now

:)

DW thread to follow shortly...........

Yeah you may find some evidence and may also notice a difference here:

G220 vs SKODA FABIA VRS ESTATE........... - Detailing World

Thanks go to Ross for letting me get my hands on this lovely piece of work, thanks to Jon for servicing the Superb and taking loads of pics and Bengie and Bro for the food.........

Amazing job on the detailing there - hard to believe how great it looks

I did have a quick look on DW earlier but didnt spot it, was in a bit of a rush though - checking now

Minor detail - *this* car was not involved in the frontal crash, that was the black one, plus I also did the driver side front to rear for good measure ;)

I was waiting for some pics to be uploaded by Bluefox so hence the delay but got it on there in the end............

I have edited the orginal thread on DW to remove the part about the front end smash.........:o

Paintwork looks and feels a lot better............

Must have been very tricky to match up the brand new and the near-enough-250k miles paintwork :)

Car is looking amazing, a few things left but so so close now, more excited about this one then the original vRS, it is such a major transformation :D

To be honest there is little you can do and if you look closely when you see the car then the mileage signs are visable on some panels but it looks fresher and will bead like anything with all that protection on, have to say that having moved the car, it's one heck of a motor..................

Hehe - and it is not in the final state of tune yet ;) - very excited about driving her hehehe :D

Count me out of your first flight - I have kids you know,,,,,

LOL - I was making decent progress, but remember it feels faster than it is when you're the passenger, I only went a tad fast on the motorway ;)

This one has 2x that power + can put most of it down mwhuaahahahahaa ;)
