Featured Replies

covers are off being painted.

I was going to say I had patented the "black covers on silver bumper" TM, and was about to phone my lawyers, but no need now. ;)

Looking good. Has it gone through the MOT yet? :)

Another detail  - looks slick.

You parked it at the wrong house :P ;)

Really coming together now!

- Trial fitted vRS rear skirt (for fibreglass its really good quality, thanks Alex for the info on that) now that has gone for prep and paint.

Damn it, should have kept quiet! Took me 4 weeks to find a place that actually made one. They are excellent quality and fit very well. You will find it needs trimming in the centre as it fowls the spare wheel well.

Looking good Ross/Weibo... Man it is nice having a bigger boot, had so much ****e in mine, currently got a spare front bumper bar, front mount intercooler, snowboarding kit and of course te much needed subwoofer!

Alex

It is appreciated regardless Alex ;) hehe

So far I've been lucky enough to avoid my managers jumping down my neck on not having a car (as I can work from home + got lift in once a week), this coming week he's on holiday so may have to wing it another week, but that allows Ross to get it sorted 100% - so that's cool.

It is really coming together now, windscreen replacement sometime next week and MOT, so fingers crossed :D

Im must say they were very good to deal with and everything was sorted very quickly.

I tried about 6-7 different companies in the CZ once i had found the products i wanted. Only 2 replied, and only the 1 company was helpful.

Having driven the Fabia for a little while now although it still needs te 4WA which will be done on Monday i'm 99% sure the hatch suspension it just not suitable for the estate. When pushing it some I just have not confidence in the back end, feels odd. This may just be me getting used to it, it may be the combination of the 4WA needing doing and the ATB diff. However the rear end is a fair bit heavier than the hatch with a longer overhang and it has a heavy tow bar mounted there aswell. I'm also sure this is the reason the front end sits up as it does as the back is weighed down. Pretty sure this is going to need sorting before long.

Done nearly 50 miles now and aside from the vibratechnics mounting doing its best to rattle my teeth out all seems well.

Was afraid this might be the case - It may be safer to stick the hatch rear springs back on with the Koni FSDs etc for now, and let's see if we can get the Eibach rears sorted.

Shame really, but it was always a bit of a gamble :)

Whoever is in charge of your work parking must have been paid by the number and height of speedbumps.

Better get a Hummer mate
