anyone raced an audi tt

Featured Replies

i am just wondering if anyone who owns an octy vrs (chipped or standard)has raced an audi tt?

how did you do?

i recntly had bit of a go with a FTO, mines a standard octy vrs! only raced from lights up to 3rd gear but pretty much stayed with him, i had traction control on think that f*cked up my take off a bit. :rubchin:

Yep, dragged with a 225 (twin exhaust) today... but when we pulled up at the next set of lights... all the ladies at the pub beer garden looked towards his/ hers car ... how does that work ?

Do you need a list?

1. It's an Audi

2. It's "stylish"

3. It costs pots of money - ergo the owner must be loaded

4. It's not a Skoda

HTH :P

Yep, I love playing with them ;)

You get that, WTF is a Fabia doing on my back bumper...lol

I stuck to a tt not sure which one on the M25 on Sunday despit him trying to leave me!!! :) Bet he was down his dealers today saying its down on power!!!!!

Yep, clear as falling off a log into a stinky pond ! Thanks Nick

Destroyed all types of Audi TT's many times when I had my banger Legacy much to their annoyance/embarrasment!!!

I believe our Mr Ffelan greatly embarrassed a well tuned up Audi TT at Bruntingthorpe in April.

Is that you Clutch..ing at straws ;) then Des??

225's aren't a challenge....all that 4wD kit means extra weight you know ;)

you'll find the 180 tt owners in the know will move over when a vRS comes behind them, i've never raced a tt due to the above...

many drags with 225's always keep with them, have more trouble with Leon Cupra R's have to admit.

no 4wd so lighter etc, always good fun.

325i BMW's are good fun also,330i's are v.quick.can stay with the few i've 'played with' but put that down to different drivers etc

the TT to watch out for is the remapped 150 FWD version... that can actually give you a run for your money( in a stockish vRS).. 220+hp and lighter than the others...

have yet to find a TT to cause me pain.. but have yet to race the twin engined one

It's not the 4wd that makes em slow, it must be the lack of talent by the driver or poor handling... yet to drive one but yet to find one a challenge....

dont put yourself down.. blame the haldex!:D

I think the TT attracts a certain type of owner, as do many porsches, have beaten many cars that, if I were able to drive them over the same roads \ track, I would be quicker than the in the skoda. That goes for both mine on road and Paul's on track.

Not always a good idea. You **** all over them and then they feel they have to overtake no matter what, in a BMW driver kind of way. Some nutter in a black 225 did this to me near Stourport during one of the last outings in the RS.

but watching TT's crash is funny.......:D

If you don't mind a trip north of the border try Star Performance in Fife. Haven't used them myself - yet :D
